IMO it's more of an anti fake-news policy. Since most ICOs advertised were scammy.

Chances are yes because of a lot of obscure information from Facebook about bitcoin and so we can protect ourselves from the fraud that keeps popping up because facebook blocking cryptocurrency ads to avoid the existence of scam ICO

Taklimakan Network : Business Platform for Crypto
April 15, 2018, 05:20:51 PM
All major online advertising platforms like Google AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, and Medium have announced a full ban on cryptocurrency or related advertisements. They claimed the ICOs (initial coin offerings) which they promise easy 10x returns in a short period of time. But the cryptocurrency world is booming a new economy and such bans are not to hurt some legitimate cryptocurrency business.
In fact now Google advertise ICO without any problem.
I was really surprised when saw it recently. Although it might be 'last accord'   Roll Eyes

I wonder how much this war with crypto will play out. Social whales prepare their own blockbuster surprises and begin to aggressively get acquainted with the market
Yes, it is obvious that this is similar to the actions of very influential people, who are under control of such giant companies as Facebook, Google (youtube) and twitter. This all resembles the beginning of hostilities. Now the world of crypto currencies should strike back.

Bitcoin’s Value to Lose $44 Billion by Year’s End. Indeed, it would seem to be the case less folks are interested in bitcoin.
If that is institutional money there is less effect, but according to some experts it's the newbie money which thinks they can easily make money in
crypto. When you are blinded by the reality, you only see your goal but too much pump will always lead to price correction
and it's happening now.

At this moment situation is like that:
Facebook Market Cap:464.63B for April 9, 2018
Cryptocurencies Market Cap: $259,228,586,124 for April 9, 2018

This is Facebook after the scandal.

Do you really think, that Facebook cares about Bitcoin and crypto at all. They are almost twice bigger than the whole crypto world.

Facebook mine concern is its own well being and if the management thinks that Bitcoin and crypto is bad for them, they just cut it off. Simple.

I do not care facebook will do anything because Facebook is just a social media different from Crypto and do not up with this kind of thing make a big panic, remember that facebook still support Crypto but in their platform that does not accept any ads about crypto and it has no big effect , just look at it now they banned but will receive in the end. Because everything that is always in negative view will explode someday.

The position of facebook in relation to crypto currency is rather strange, I think that in our case bitcoin is our future, and facebook understands this but can not do anything against the FBI and the state.

Facebook is not against bitcoin but they only into the protection of people for those possible scams and can be harmful to all users. Facebook has a reputation which it has made. They don't want to hamper their reputation by advertising scams and that also when govt. don't have a clear step against or in favor of it. This is the sole reason why Facebook has banned these ads.

The future of advertisement intelligence
April 09, 2018, 01:25:17 PM
yes maybe this step is certainly taken by the facebook is a lot of things on behalf of bitcoin as a tool for fraud and investment facilities that smell fraud so what is done facebook not make bitcoin lost or prohibit in circulation in social media but this is just an attempt to avoid abuse as a fraudulent advertising so don't worry this is a security system to stem the existence of false advertising

Facebook is not against bitcoin or any other crypto. They are against ICO, As some study found out more than 50% ICO is a scam, and lots of negative news coming out regarding ICO in past recent. So lots of advertising company, such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube stand against these ICO.

Because they believe that Facebook prohibits bitcoin and ICos and other cryptocurrency
The new Facebook policy will not allow announcements of known digital currency exchanges or initial offers of currencies.
Is it to avoid fraud or false advertising? That's why?
This is always going on in world - 'If somebody is happy and enjoying, others will try to screw their happiness' or 'If you are financially independent or sound then who would bow their heads to te monopolistic people like today's idiotic entities who are imposing bans on CryptoAds ?

Yes, based on what I have heard Facebook will not be allowed any digital currency ads on their platform. There are a group of people uses digital currency to scam other Facebook users. Bitcoin is not a scam, but it is on how was being introduced to other users. For example in the Philippines, there are a lot of Networking or MLM Scheme uses bitcoin as their main product to gather investment from other user and ended up as being scammed.  Wink
