Now many large partners are leaving Libra for fear of regulators.
However, I think you and I will laugh when Zuckerberg releases his project, rips off aviation, and becomes the world leader in the framework of his “new” currency, as he intended.

And then all those who left now will be extremely disappointed in the fact that they left once. I wish it were so.

If Zuckerberg manages to launch Libra with the approval of regulators worldwide, then I believe companies which had withdrawn from the Association will regret their decision. With Facebook's immense capital, it could make a robust Blockchain network the world has ever seen. It'll have everything necessary to boost the adoption of its digital currency within the mainstream world. Of course, the main purpose of Libra is to be a stablecoin. This would not allow it to increase further in price, but it'll surely bring massive mainstream adoption as it could be used just like Fiat.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens over time, as Facebook does its best to gain the trust from regulators worldwide. In the meantime, it seems unlikely that Libra will launch by 2020. It could either take a few more years after that to launch, or it may not even launch at all. But no matter what happens in the future with Facebook's cryptocurrency, it'll have little to no effect on traditional cryptocurrencies we know and love today (like Bitcoin and Ethereum).

Nonetheless, it's interesting to see a mainstream company having the desire of launching its own digital currency to the world. It shows us that there's huge interest into Bitcoin's revolutionary technology (Blockchain) in order to transform our economy like never before. Other companies might start doing the same, eventually disrupting our current financial system as we know it. Just my opinion Smiley

I think Facebook Coin is hopeless because yesterday I read an article stating that Mark Zuck the founder of Facebook came out and resigned from the Libra platform, from this news I feel Libra will only be one of the failed products again.

I've been looking for some information about Libra coin as I've seen it making its name on my newsfeed months ago but unfortunately, this was the news. I am sure there are a lot of people willing to buy this coin as it is associated with Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook. It's really unfortunate that this idea is gone to waste before it gets started, just like the others.

I don't think that will be a threat to bitcoin and altcoin. bitcoin has become a dream in crypto and bitcoin has gained widespread popularity. in my opinion the best new coins that appear will not be able to compete with bitcoin. if indeed fb coins have entered the market, maybe Facebook coins will be more in demand than other emerging coins. in my opinion fb coins will be a threat to new coins, but not to bitcoin and the top 10 coins.

Just the same, there will be no problems with the popularity of this coin, because it will become a convenient and fast gateway for exchanging fiat for cryptocurrency and vice versa.
In addition, the libra can become a universal means of payment, convenient and fast, because due to its centralization, the coin can be approved by any regulators, which in turn will lead to scalability of cryptocurrencies in the world as a whole.

Libra is enough to take the attention of many crypto enthusiasts, the reason is the same as you, libra can certainly be a means of payment that is accepted by many people, like Facebook, because later libra and facebook wallets become one, so those who have Facebook can use libra,
but the popularity you mentioned I don't agree with, because today I heard news that would make libra coins no longer popular, because Zuckerberg withdrew from the libra project.

What popularity? this project is being halted by SEC and what you can expect form this one if there is not ETA about when the platform will be alive? it looks funny to see more and more people like you are keep writing without getting the latest update about this project.
SEC and EU are even banning this project and why you are still saying it can be approved by any regulators.
that doesn't make sense.

I don't know if Libra of Facebook will make it. As the government are hitting this cryptocurrency. Also their major partners already declined their partnerships with Libra as government also  trying to influence the.  They just did. So don't know if it's going to be a hit anymore. Even Telegram was halted their token sales due to government interference. I guess no more cryptocurrency for USA. And even they're existing, I don't know if I will use it. It is a stablecoin.

Libra may not be a threat to Bitcoin, because the dominant bitcoin has already mastered all market exchanges and cryptocurrencies.
But it could be a threat to the enormous amount of altcoins. Libra has also been known since now because it exists among Facebook.

But it seems they all done with libra. REjected now by all the major players

if you pay attention to how Libra is developing now, then you will understand that the future of this project is not so sweet. perhaps this project will not even be able to realize itself. that is why bitcoin exists and Libra does not

maybe it will have an impact on crypto yes of course the social media giant is taking part here.
but if it threatens my BTC, it is rather difficult, because we know that BTC is the king of crypto, and the presence of libra will help a sluggish market and bring in many investors in it.
so I prefer to think Libra will help increase crypto populariras.
it’s difficult to say about Libra even when they enter the market, but I consider the tendency that major players are interested in the crypto market to be a good sign

I think Libra coins will not threaten Bitcoin and Altcoin. because bitcoin has been proven to last a long time on the crypto market. and now bitcoin has become the most favorite coin in the crypto market and also has a large market capitalization. so I think it will be difficult for Libra to defeat bitcoin. and libra are centralized coins. Libra coins will be controlled by Facebook. previously libra coins were supported by large companies such as mastercard, visa and paypal. but I have just heard the news that all of these companies have finally resigned from supporting libra. of course this is bad news for libra.

I am not interested at all in buying or investing libra, because the rumors that spread libra are stable coins.  so isn't that useless.
however libra works with many big companies there is a possibility that many promotions will be given to users.
maybe I will buy Libra if the promotion is really profitable.

Now investing in Libra is very risky because it has many claims from the us authorities. In any case, they will completely ban the Libra and all investors will lose their money, which no one will return to anyone, because it is written in the investment agreement.

I don't believe libra coin has any future. recently paypal withdrew from the libra project. mastercard and visa are also considering withdrawing from the project.

These events will have a domino effect and most investors will withdraw from the libra coin. because the libra project offers no new features. frankly, I don't believe Libra can add anything to the blockchain ecosystem. I don't believe that central projects in particular can add anything to the ecosystem. that's because blockchain is specifically designed to bring privacy to transactions. and I don't think Facebook will respect that privacy.

Me neither. I believe that Libra will turn out to be just a dream than anything else. With partnerships coming to an end, Facebook will lack the support needed to launch its cryptocurrency for the mainstream world. On top of that, governments and central banks are actively opposing its launch every step of the way. Considering that Facebook has been well-known to violate people's privacy, it could do the same with its own cryptocurrency. As you've said earlier, Blockchain technology is designed to bring privacy to transactions (in some way). Having a middleman, greatly defeats the purpose. After all, Satoshi created the Blockchain in order to serve as an alternative to the current banking system.

Libra will just act as a central bank 2.0, as Facebook (and governments too) will be able to freeze or manipulate people's transactions at will. Not to mention, it'll be a stablecoin backed by Fiat currencies like the USD and EUR. Because of these reasons, Libra won't even pose to be a threat to the very existence of decentralized cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Nonetheless, I believe that Libra will fail in the long run while another centralized cryptocurrency will take the lead (possibly Ripple's XRP?). But it's nice to know that mainstream companies are becoming interested into Blockchain technology, as it tells us that it's the way of the future. Someday, we'll be able to see government-backed digital currencies powered by Blockchain technology. This will take some time before it becomes a reality. In the meantime, physical cash will be dominant until slowly but surely people decide to transition into the digital realm. Just my thoughts Grin
