Twitter is much more useful than facebbok

Twitter seems just as crappy to me. Like FB, I was into it for a while. But it's overrun with advertising, people are just trying to gain a following and promote their crap products, etc. In the end it is just another shitty feed....
Actually twietter is the shithole of FB. It is crowded with shit persons promoting their shits with shorter shits

The data seems to agree, they are at 2011 in terms of popularity. They are losing a lot, time will tell if they will be the next MySpace  Smiley

I don't think FB is dead.
I have almost 2000 FB friends and using FB for quick communication and sharing news with my friends.
Great tool also to find friends after a long time, even after 20 or more years Smiley (My own experience).

I think it's still very much alive for people who use it but they can't grow forever. I mean myspace was huge for a little while and that's gone now basically. Facebook has probably hit its max popularity, I mean even my 65 year old dad is on it.

I haven't touched Facebook for years; is it still the same Farmville-spamming dramallama it was when I left?

With a bit more colours, correct.

I have to agree that it is very much alive. I don't use it that often but the people that do are constantly updating their statuses.

Facebook is pretty good...

It has no way for it to accelerate its growth or make new people join it due to intuitiveness.

But , it has the social momentum.
Everyone uses it.
I joined Facebook because it is the only way I can easily communicate with most people I know.

This will continue until a new platform is not just intuitive or fresh enough to just beat Facebook , but it has to massively out-do Facebook.

Facebook will still live a couple of years longer until new and more innovative social platform emerge.

what do you think will be the next big thing? i have tried to wrap my brain around it and honestly, the only conclusion i can come to is that social networking is going to die off eventually

MySpace is dead.

Twitter is doing ok- but it is useless to most people.

Facebook is going strong- it just isnt "exciting" or "new" anymore.

Yeah MySpace is dead -- that's for damn sure! So do you think then that Facebook will go the way of Myspace? How about social networking in general?

It all just seems so pointless to me. This social networking stuff is the ultimate ego masturbation tbh.
