I was surprised by Facebook, I have heard several times that Facebook has taken action against crypto currencies, such as the prohibition of advertising and so on, but at this time the news that Facebbok would make Facebook coins re-heard on the surface, as if they were playing with issues for personal gain.
They indeed took some actions against the cryptocurrency that execute prohibition for the advertisement of cryptocurrencies. Time can change people and now facebook is a pro cryptocurrency and they want to get into the wave. I will watch for some updates for this their own coin and i will invest my money there and hope for a huge profit.

I don't think this will be nearly as successful as people are making it out to be. I myself would never buy this garbage from Facebook. Zuckerberg should stay in his own lane on this one..
Facebook is popular, they can sure raise a big money and this coin is one of the high volume coin if traded in crypto exchanges.
I'm not really familiar on how this coin will be use as I myself is not gonna invest on it, I maybe trade but I'm sure they have big investors already for this coin and it will be sold out fast.

I'm speaking from an approach of fundamentals I suppose. I can't support something centralized especially after their actions of banning ads from other crypto projects. Just a hypocritical move by Facebook here which is already essentially vaporware. They make their money from selling your data and displaying ads.

Facebook has earlier shown their lack of support for crypto and a lot of enthusiasts are already vexed with the decision and their action. Actually people will still invest if they launch but will not be with the same amount of hype it would have received if it was earlier before their crypto ad ban. The only way they can gain relevance is by not trying to raise any fund but use their existing fund to distribute freely to their community and eventually launch in exchanges. But again I do not expect so huge from them
This is the more reason why you should even know that the project will work, I am sure they must have fully developed the project to a full extent, because whatever money they are raising is too small compared to what Facebook is worth.

The fund they are raising is probably to give investors right to the coin and not to develop the project, the last project they cancelled must have been for another reason that is not related to its non-acceptance by the community. This project I believe will be a one in a million project that we cannot wait to witness and have a part in.

Wow this is great! Now more and more profiles of people will go to facebook and facebook will be richer than ever. If you don't know, facebook is using your personal information and they sell it to the ads they bring. If you are playing online games, they will bring you ads of playing games. If you like to eat so much, they will put an ad for restaurants. Although Facebook is successful, why do they need to raise money?

Yes, I agree to OP, even their name worth billions. But I do not think that FBcoin can surpass bitcoin in any manner. if you see it clearly then facebook or WhatsApp or Instagram or any of their famous company doesn't specifically rely on money related stuff. all they do is connect people and work with their data, They advertising system was their biggest source of earning and now when they are going to launch FBcoin most of their users are gonna be chatting or sharing stuff but not using the token very much. It will act like normal currency there.

if they launch their FBcoin I don't think it will replace bitcoin just because of million users of facebook, not all of them are crypto users. Well let's see that in the future.
The main users of FBCoin will be companies and corporations, streamers and earners and payers using bitcoin to run their company ads, stream payouts, and the like. If they play this right it is a potential billion dollars market.
hat is right, and these people are enough to drive the market high to its peak, so those people thinking Facebook coin won’t really move because they were banning some ICOs ad then don’t really know how useful Facebook has been to the world out there, especially that of institution who has one product or services to enter to the public.

I think Facebook is still the largest social media network out there for now, with a user base of over 1 billion, imagine 20% of this one’s participate in crypto, this will be the major tool that will open the full eyes of communities worldwide into crypto, but unfortunately, I have just been reading this news here but I have not directly been able to verify them on their platform directly.

If this project facebook coin success, i'm sure other big company will trying this too, make their own coin and maybe use raising money too.

Facebook was much critical of cryptocurrency at a point of time. But now it is advocating cryptocurrency and trying its hand at creating its own digital currency. This is an interesting story and will surely bring ripples in the market of crypto once its plan is materialized. The crypto market should welcome the idea, which will help cryptocurrency at the end. Cheers, cryptocurrency is being widely adopted.

They do not have enough money? Why they need money from external investors? It is so expensive to create another centralized sh.t coin?
But I am sure that they will soon realize that it will not work, they created something similiar few years ago (Facebook credit) and they had to cancel it because it wasn´t as successful as they thought.

Grin Yes, this coin will definitely be in demand. For advertising campaigns in this network, such digital money will be useful.

Lol the previous vocal of cryptocurrency is now bracing to embrace it and going to the extent to create its own digital coin. Anyway the news is too much good for the entire crypto community. It gives the message that cryptocurrency is being adopted world wide. Unlike in the past, people are growing aware of the value and importance of cryptocurrency and they are getting attracted towards it. Various cryptocurrencies are being accepted as a method of payment which has also added to its adoption.

That is great because back in time, when facebook ban cryptoccurrency advertisement to their website and now they are trying to accumulate money for their own coin or cryptocurrency. It is a good sign that the big players or companies are now getting into the world of cryptocurrency and they now realized the advantages of it.

Wow! I just new about it, if this is reall it is really had a big impact into crypto industry, since we all knows how facebook already being hype by its used. Many had been used it already, so by raising their own crypto coin, for sure many will invest on it, but I don't beleive it will lead to replaced bitcoin.
