Facebook is lifting its ban on cryptocurrency ads which went into effect in January. After months of evaluation, the company decided to allow some crypto ads on its platform. Advertisers must submit a request form with details of their businesses and the types of crypto content to be promoted.

Starting June 26, we’ll be updating our policy to allow ads that promote cryptocurrency and related content from pre-approved advertisers. But we’ll continue to prohibit ads that promote binary options and initial coin offerings.

Wow, I feel so amazed. More advertisement more market will patronage crypto. We all know that there are millions of user of Facebook even businessmen (onlineshops). This can encourage them to use crypto. This can also help to encourage people to invest in crypto. They will be curious about it.

I think this will be not good news, updating policy to allow ads that promote cryptocurrency to be a good step and crypto ads can provide much profit for facebook in the future.

There is just too much money that Facebook didn't want to leave on the table. It is important for cryptocurrency providers to have access to advertise their products and services. Facebook has a tendency to overreact and be reactive. It seems pretty obvious that there was blowback from enough users and the data supported to open up some crypto ads to be allowed.

Yes i have heard that facebook will regulate the advertisement of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
This is great news for cryptocurrency in the future.
It will strengthen the cryptomarket.
I personally have no idea about it, but if it is true then no doubt that it is a big decision and in favour of bitcoin to grow more and more, I think that facebook is one of the most popular and good way of introducing different ICOs in different places, i think that people will appreciate that decision taken by the facebook management.

Yes indeed it is a great news for all of us as facebook has removed the ban on crypto related ads as they have realized its importance and know that they increase their profits with this strategy as they have also lost their market share after their ban.But now it will increase their revenue with great boost.

i guess this is a good news and upgrade to both cryptocurrency and facebook because initially when facebook promised to stop ads i thought it will be the end of crypto but i came to realized that even facebook will go at lost and stop ads will not even cause crypto any harm and second i understand that many icos are now frud and it will be a disappointment to mark when he found out his is running ads for such ico. i think with the new policies of registration it will limit the numbers of scam icos ads in facebook and it will also be easy to locate them if any.

This surely because of their 5% decrease in market share when they banned the cyrpto ads. And ofcourse the revenues they lost because of this ban.

Just what I was saying had to happen, now happens. There was no need for a blanket ban, but they just did it, because they

were not ready to deal with the processing of all these applications. I am just glad they saw the error in their ways and made

the correct decision to unban Crypto currency advertisements. They should really consider looking into allowing some ICOs

too, because there are MANY legitimate ICOs out there, that deserve the exposure. I reckon the SEC's position on ICOs

sealed their fate.  Angry
That's right. How will bitcoin be popular without these social medias. SNS have lot's of user/ population and it's good there to endorse our legit ICOs. The users is our market and can help our projects to have a more potentiality success of development.

Along with the entire crytocurrency activity, this is not a potential threat to society. It's time for Facebook to evacuate this boycott. Likewise, the younger the age, the more electronic forms of money and Facebook do not have any desire to overcome a great opportunity for that.

Since bitcoin prohibits its user to post crypto ads and other cryptographic related ads, i was unable to participate in FB campaign from bounty anymore. With thins current move from FB, i just hope that they will continue to support bitcoin and other crypto related ads.

Look that is good news for crypto currency industry. Now they can promote their project to many people who are using. I think Facebook is a good place to reach and get investor and make projects to come popular

They will simply miss out on the tremendous income that they can make as opposed to nothing by any means. This is the result of a certain country banning the use of electronic money and taking the time to find a way to accept the system without the possibility of abuse and use in any form of illegal trading.

I think this is the right decision. Why banned advertising, if it can be filtered by providing projects with some kind of guarantees and official documents.
I think that there will be few projects with guarantees, if at all there are such. Grin

I'm late to the news, I didn't know this up until now, I think Facebook unbanned it since these ads are also a big help to the Facebook team as well, I don't think they should actually ban these ads, they just really need to give sufficient information about what their goal is, being Informative rather than catching the attention of the people around Facebook, this is good news, and I think that these ads deserve one more chance.
