From my point of view Coinbase advertisement is possible because this is a legal company, but with this action there is not anything change in price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Social media did this because many fake and scam Advertising is posting all over by peoples and same thing is happening with google when we search some info about crypto then we get only advertisement of fake projects.

If you look at the past months, it is easy to understand but there will be no impact on price. People have enough faith in the crypto market. Crypto is not a Facebook promotional market. It is here that people have been decentralized thinking of their own trust and security. And with the use of advanced technology blockchain technology.

The ban on Crypto currency ads was more targeted at the ICO scams. These ICOs was not legitimate companies, so they had

to implement a blanket ban to stop it. I think they reviewed their decision and decided that they would allow businesses that

are "legit" and well known in the community. If something goes wrong, Facebook can take legal action against legitimate

businesses, but not against "face-less" scammers.  Angry

Thats right. Facebook only bans ico and not the overall crypto companies , that is the reason that we can still see some crypto related ads especially wallet service providers such as coinbase  but the ico banning issue do still have a huge effect to the crypto economy because facebook is one of the largest platform which means many people can possibly invest on these crypto related projects and that can also help for the price to increase more .

I think it’s definitely a good news. Many people still haven’t any concept about crypto world . And now-a-days facebook is a well known social media. So facebook will help to give some knowledge to newbie about cryptocurrency by advertisement.

This is a money grab, and a money grab only. Yes it may bring some more customers to Coinbase, and other exchanges who are advertising on Facebook. But these people -- in my view -- were going to find Bitcoin at some point anyway. As the only way these people are being targeted on Facebook is related to their interests, so this is going to be people who were most likely going to find out about Bitcoin at some point. I also think that this may have an effect on the Bitcoin price -- but it won't change anything relating to adoption (which is what we should really be focusing on, as price means nothing if no one is going to accept bitcoin)

Facebook is very open to encryption recently. We have reason to believe that a new social media support encryption world will come soon.

Facebook initially banned crypto related ads because they wanted to stop the scammers who are running fake ICOs and stealing public money using the global reach of Facebook. However, businesses like Coinbase is no scam attempt. It's great that Facebook finally understands that!

the beginning of the banning of crypto ads had a substantial impac for the development of crypto at that time because it is undeniable that facebook is an effective means for advertising and promotion of crypto that should not need to be stopped completely but facebook can provide specific rules or regulations for crypto ads so it will filter where crypto is real and scam, this way the user facebook holder crypto does not need negative judgment to facebook

not really. mainly because these ads are mainly used to advertise shitty ICOs and/or scams. and when a legit company like coinbase advertises there, they are not increasing bitcoin adoption. they will only get people who already know about bitcoin. and they are not advertising bitcoin but their own service to already bitcoin users.

I think banning crypto currency ads is not strictly implemented by the facebook developement team. Maybe there is a huge percentage of crypto ads who is willingly to pay facebook just to advertise their ICO and crypto platforms on facebook.

It's supposed to reopen a good future, Coinbase is a well-known and big platfrom so it's no wonder getting approval from Facebook to do advertising in the next few times, to me this is a gap for some other well-known cryptocurrency platforms to follow like Coinbase, promote more marketing comprehensive and adds a relationship with Facebook that is considered the greatest social media.
For the price issue I think it will not be good in the near future, it can be said not too strong to face some uncomfortable news this end, in the future there are still many opportunities to build relationships with big people, big platfrom and give a very big effect, I sure that.

the only people who were really awaiting this were the ICO scammers who needed the platforms like Facebook for their advertisement so that they could impact a larger number of people and be able to influence more of them and as a result raise a lot more free money for doing nothing.
otherwise regular users don't care where these things are being advertised or not advertised!

Yes, I think we need A team that identify ICO & Scam Projects. So, Facebook can keep Clean and Clear ICO Project Ads on his platform.

Some of my Facebook friends was unfollow me when  I shared ICO campaign. That show us many tReguler user don't care about Crypto Campaign.

Buy $BGL before it's too late!
Allowing coinbase being advertised again would attract new investors and the impact will be positive for Bitcoin/crypto lovers, it means new players to invest another sets of new traders that have it's own principle and desired, but it's too early since there's a lots of debate regarding to crypto existence we need to allow people to learned and understand this type of investment system.

Of course yes, but only a little bit of impact. Every single event or policy always give impact to. Bitcoin.

Wink

facebook banned crypto made people psychologically prepare and no longer if they let themselves be deceived with facebook, that is to say people became aware that facebook can ban crypto and can return back to their decision, and people realized that facebook is not reliable.
The crypto community love freedom, privacy and trust, if facebook or any other company breaks these 3 things I said, this company loses credibility to the crypto community and facebook has already shown that they are not trustworthy

I agree with you that Facebook will not trustworthy if they break 3 things that you mention above. But you can't conclude that Facebook break the 3 things if the ban crypto.

No! Facebook didn't ban crypto. Facebookonly ban new crypto campaign that have a chance stealing people's money: ICO or ITO Campaign. That my opinion

Former JP Morgan Executive Says Banks Know Cryptocurrency Can Change The World; Costa Rica Workers Can Be Legally Paid In Cryptocurrency

According to Ethereum World News, Facebook has decided to allow a few specific cryptocurrency-related advertisements run on the platform. This is a few months after Facebook announced that they would ban all cryptocurrency-related ads. One of the cryptocurrency-related companies allowed to advertise on Facebook is Coinbase.

The CEO of Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, announced the decision in a tweet a few hours ago. He stated:

Facebook banned ads for crypto earlier this year. Proud to say we’ve now been whitelisted and are back introducing more people to an open financial system.

Will this bring a positive impact on bitcoin and bitcoin prices going forward?

i'd say this is some really good news not for bitcoin alone, but for the entire economy of cryptocurrency.

As we all know that social media giants, such as facebook, could greatly influence the masses in a global scale.  A ban instantly translates to FUD for many.  It is a very worrisome association with cryptocurrency.

When the design of cryptocurrency was to be decentralized, it is with great fear when a powerful entity bans it (though facebook's intention was to cut down scammers that went hay wire crazy last year as bitcoin reached ATH).

So hearing of the news that coinbase got whitelisted is really a relief.

A lot of companies / startups that weren't legit was using Facebook to promote their product. This misled some people and Facebook decided to take down all crypto related ads.

I think this is a good step because Coinbase is a legit company that provides value. Hopefully Facebook will allow more companies in this space to advertise as long as they are legal / provide an actual service.

yes, maybe this news will have an impact on bitcoin in the future and affect bitcoin prices to rise as many people are buying bitcoins,
and the limited supply of bitcoin is only 21 million and if it is shared to everyone in this world one bitcoin per person will not be enough, and really the price of one bitcoin will be very expensive.
