So it looks like Facebook is once again changing their policies on crypto currencies (https://tipestry.com/topics/5cd562f5d774147570d8c561/facebook-rolls-back-its-policy-barring-cryptocurrency-ads). Is this good or bad for the community? I think in a way, it's good because it will shed light on garbage projects and bring investors to ones that actually deserve investments. What do you guys think?
Nor bad nor good. Facebook is the biggest social media manipulator, undoubtedly. They first decided to ban the crypto advertisements and they intend to create the new crypto for their own purpose. It is not understandable but I guess they want something that they can control whenever they need like XRP.

TBH I got mixed feeling about this.

To be honest it's upon people who actually should do a work on their own and make a decision whether they want to invest or not. There are also good projects out there so why snatching a good promotional way out of their hands?.

However I would still would be inclined towards benefits from this action after watching the upsurge in no. of scam projects these recent years.

I think they understood they lose money and crypto is something unstoppable no need to ban ads for it no more and maybe soon ICO ban will be removed too and i think other soc networks will follow this as they cant let Facebook take all profit.

this will have a good impact on new projects. I think the Facebook step is right now, what's more now IEO is popular. so promoting a new project can be a little easier.

In general, it is strange to observe a ban on advertising from Facebook, when they themselves plan to create their own stable coin. Perhaps they will revise this ban later. Although the fact that a lot of rubbish that is advertised is now divorced, you are also right.

Well, it is a good initiative and a welcoming development but that is if Facebook will be able to scrutinize all of those projects that will be allowed and assure investors that they are safe for investment.
Scammers should not be allowed to advertise their shady projects.

It's no more use whether facebook change their policies and allow crypto ads to roll on their platform. The market even survived even without the help of their platform so it's just becoming another source of profit for them since they are allowing it again. And the irony is, there's a rumor that they will have their coin and they had banned their competitors through disallowing them to advertise on their platform.

It's more than natural for facebook to have a different vision and approach when it comes to cryptocurrencies ads since facebook itself is probably launching their own coin. If that article is true, facebook will have restrictions on what kinda crypto ads you can post on their platform like it was expected.

This is probably a PR stunt for their next centralized crypto. By allowing crypto ads on FB again, people will be exposed to cryptos and blockchain, and by the time FB launches their new coin, the general public will probably have a general idea of how cryptos work, and they'll waste no time in testing the new Facebook coin.

I just hope they've figured out how to stop the countless of scam projects that will start popping up in the future-

It is not surprising at all especially when we all know now that facebook is itself developing its stable coin and also there are reports that they are already working on developing their own blockchain network behind the scenes so now blockchain and crypto is a fact which is confirmed by fb as well i would say we are just starting there are great times coming ahead related to use and adoption of crypto.

If this is true I wonder what is what have made them change their mind, apart from the fact that Facebook could allegedly be planning the launch of their own cryptocurrency as some media say. In fact, this could be a good reason. After all, it must be difficult to promote the usage of something when you are banning it yourself on your platform.

It proves that Facebook has realized that crypto is the future. They can't ignore them no more. It's a large internet based finance which could be the best and long term advertisement revenue for internet based advertising platforms like Facebook.

I think this is a very good policy and later can have a positive impact on the development of Crypto. Many people use Facebook so promotion in the media will certainly be easy to get a lot of investors. In addition, there are good projects to explain so investors are not trapped in fake projects.

This is good for us and crypto market. Facebook do this because they are running a crypto projects named Libra. This project, with the influence of Facebook, could attract billions of dollars and new big investors, institutions come into crypto market.

This in a way is good for the community. It will help crypto to reach more people which will be good for the adoption of crypto as well as the price. I guess they are planning to launch their own crypto and that's why they lift the ban.

:)It's really good and a good news for that matter to see that they are rolling back crypto related ads. We need them to at least create more awareness concerning the blockchain technology

I think with Facebook changing the rules about cryptocurrency for the good news makes it easier for cryptocurrency among the community and investors too, and for the bad news it could be that the rule is misused personally by someone who is not for the project to introduce a project scam or just for personal gain

I was overwhelmed when I saw this new. Facebook wants to get into the crypto space that's why they adjusted their policy on banning crypto ads. I think crypto and blockchain are gaining massive popularity nowadays, everyone wants to have a share of the cake. It's a good sign and the market is really encouraging, there might be a bullrun in coming days.
