If this is true, then 2014 is off to a spectacular start.

I do not know what's so spectacular, because Facebook and Zynga also receive USD and each credit card payment.

Being able to accept payments in BTC, whether or not you can also accept credit card payments, helps make Bitcoin more mainstream.

The more mainstream Bitcoin becomes, the more valuable it should be.

Even if it was a testing phase there should be some kind of announcement, if not in the press at least in Facebook developer's forum or at least in the advertisment payment options: https://www.facebook.com/help/203680236341574

There's not even one result in their site about bitcoin: https://www.facebook.com/help/search/?query=bitcoin
I'd say this announcement is totally fake, maybe someone needs to sell badly..

So 2 pages and no one points out there is not one credible source backing this up?

This could be a scam, ie, photoshop.  No one has verified this.  On the other hand this is just in the testing phase and not an actual press release from FB.  Anyone on these boards have a business in Netherlands?  Open up a business account via FB, it's free, and try to start and ad and pay for it, see if its an option.

As much as Zuckerberg hates the W Twins, I didn't see this coming, but who knows...

Is this legit? Is there any indication of this not being a fabrication?

I can't find any official anouncement on the net.

It seems still in early testing phase, I doubt we'll find an official announcement soon
