now it is really extremely difficult to do this. Only assessments of experts can give at least a small idea of the project without reading a pile of white papers and so on. I hope in the future in this industry will have more opportunities

Fake ico has only been detected after the ICO is finished, this is caused by several factors:
1. Because the sales target in the ICO was not achieved
2. bad management
3. lack of promotion
4. and failed to make smart contract or secure tokens.
this happens a lot when an ICO fails.

Pls what are the best way to detect fake ico and fake project... We can't continue working to promote them and later discovered that it is bounch of fake... We really need tools to detect fake ico

Sadly there are many scams everywhere in crypto market. To prevent joining and investing to fake ico and market, I think you should have a background check before joining them. Also look at the reviews and the ratings cause it give us hint about the ico and the project. To be safe enough just join some projects from successful ones.

Many ICO and fake bounty are being created and camouflaged perfectly. So it is very difficult for us to detect them. Only experienced experts do it. So it is best to join the Bounty and ICO of the famous BMs here and have been successful with previous projects.

You need to know for yourself, people nowadays is more genius than the legit ICOs. Try to analyze their whitepaper then if you find out that the concept is too good to be true stay away from them specially if they are not attending any conferences. You can check 1 by 1 about the team information in linkedin some they are using other people to fake their profile.

The most terrible situation in crypto-currencies is when you are an investor and bounty hunters of one project in which you invested and it eventually turns out to be a scam project, it's very hard and very sorry for everything that we lose

There seems to be no tool to detect ICO scams, for now we can only assess an ICO from their history, their projects, products, and whitepapers. I always see ICOs from trusted websites, you can see info like Icomarks, icobench, icoholder, and bitcoin news. But what you need to pay attention to is the detail of a team that runs the project, because it is very important to estimate the value of an ICO.

What I mostly do is to check the profile of the bounty manager. I also look into the ICO radars. I mostly check them on coinschedule to know their trust scores which range fro A to E. If a project's trust score is below C, I am not engaging in their campaign.

There are a lot of articles out there about this and actually there are no tools to detect fake ICO except your knowledge. The best you need to learn, draw lessons from mistakes to avoid investing, pick the wrong scam ICO.

This has been said on the forum for a very long time. However, no effective tools have been invented yet.

There is a lot to be done to detect fake ICO. Sometimes, some of them can be so deceptive and hard to detect. So, what i do is to continue to carry out research on it, while still engaging in the bounty, but for ICO investment, it is best to wait and finish your research and be sure, before investing into it. There was a particular project i detected was scam barely two weeks after joining the bounty. My focus most times is on the eam, because a good team with good integrity will give you a good project. If you are sure the team, then other areas will require less stress.

For me, it is somehow difficult to tell if a particular ico is a scam or not. But I think checking through their Whitepaper, telegram group and gathering more fact about them might help.

It is very difficult to define such projects and there are no tools for these purposes. It is required to learn it on your own and after some time experience will appear. Before investing I recommend to study white paper, team members, their achievements.

There are no tools available to find out fake ICOs, but all projects provide whitepapers so that we can read them carefully, and the best way to get rid of fake projects is to concentrate on famous manager projects.

You should do some background check to their team and if you see something suspicious ,
Then don't join them they are provably just a scam you should really be careful in choosing where to invest.
