I did a similar thing on "Dragon's Tale" (the casino) 1-2 years back. Thought it was a sure shot, but no. Didn't lose 4 btc, and the bitcoin price when I did it was waaaaay lower, however that feeling I got was horrible, so I feel you.

But don't leave bitcoin. Leave gambling! Smiley

A few days ago I lost 4 BTC in a single stupid bet on Just-Dice. 96% chance of winning - or 4% risk of losing, which was exactly what happened. That was my entire bitcoin balance, gone in the blink of an eye. No words can describe how horrible that felt and still feels today.

My wallet balance now sits at 0.00128 and I have no one but myself to blame.

So this marks the end of my bitcoin adventures. I still believe that bitcoin has a bright future, but there's simply no way for me to stay involved. I want to forget everything and move on.

Moral of the story: never gamble what you cannot afford to lose.
Farewell bitcoin community.

Lol. People usually when they gamble gamble on luck. You gambled on unluck. You were wining lots and lots of bets, but at some point you lost. It was 100% chance you will lose it. It would be same as if you would donate your initial BTC to that casino before you started losing time there.

Why you say farewell to bitcoin?

Shouldn't you say farewell to gambling?

4 BTC is a lot, but you can still recover your bitcoins if you work for it now. That would be a lot better than blaming oneself without even trying to improve the situation.

He should have gambled with time and waited for 2-5 years and wait the bitcoin price to rise. He could have high chance of  winning.
Casinos are made to profit, the profit comes from you. The already have tested formulas no matter what you do the house will still profit on the end.

I have lost thousands before in forex trading. I thought of quiting when i lost but after I got few hundreds I still end up trading with another broker lol.. lesson learned is that when i get to win, have to take profit and go short/long with obvious pattern. Sadly theres nothing like this on dice game.

Sounds like a huge fucking scam.... those 4 BTCs would have been worth $160K if the Winklevoss prediction comes true

I have lost over 9-10 BTC by risky Alt coin investments so I don't feel sorry for you, sorry

whats the winkle prediction?

4 bitcoin is a lot, but nothing you can't recover in less than a year in the forum, even if make no conversion fiat-bitcoin in that time

Maybe, but I'm sure he doesn't have the time to earn such an amount over the course of a year. It's not that easy really and you'd need to put in a lot of work. I wouldn't quit, but I'd earn a little bit of bitcoin or as much as possible then just save it as an investment and don't touch it. It's very rare that gamblers win in the long run.

Lesson 2: always change your client server before big bets, or fall in the selective seeding trap.

Feel sorry for you but this bet wasn't smart at all, if I'm right you did a 4 BTC bet to win 0.16 BTC with 96% chance to win? In my opinion It wasn't worth the risk compared to what you win, you should of taken 0.16 BTC from your 4 BTC and played It on live roulette , blackjack or sports betting or online poker.

Gambling is bad habit which is not easy to get rid of. Once you win, you want to win more and bet more, then lose more. Once you lose, you want to recover back and bet more, then lose more. You end up losing everything you have. No matter what you are gambling with BTC, LTC, fiat etc, you should learn this lesson. It is none business of leaving btc community. If you have strong faith with btc, you should leave btc.
