with faucet bitcoin you can get free bitcoins, but it may take a long time.
you can find in this forum some topics about this way to get free bitcoins.

Faucets are really a waste of time.
You can get more bitcoins by working (in the real / virtual world) and then buying bitcoins.

Exactly.
I have tried using faucets, and can only get around 20000 satoshi an hour (= 0.07 USD).

always give your bitcoin faucets in an amount not too much, while the node is something related to network your coins ...

okay so I have a dice game i want to install on a site it has a free coin section that would require a faucet? right?

A faucet is really a website you do something small like type in capatcha and get a very small amount of coins.  A dice game could include a faucet like function ( look at prime dice is best example.  You type in capatcha and get small amount).  You could do it in the dice game or separate page completely.  In game is a lot nicer for users.

You might consider hiring someone with your coin if your trying to make it work and need a lot of advice.  I think your most difficult item will be getting it on a exchange.  Espically with premined getting attention will be hard.

Im new to the faucet and nodes. I have a few nodes operating on our coin and i was wondering why is a faucet needed. or even needed for bitcoin and how do they make money on them?

Faucets bring traffic to some web pages. Those that run them usually have advertises there.

But on other hand Faucets are nice way for BTC adoption i might not first heard of BTC this way. But i installed wallet because of it and first time started researching bitcoin.

Just like bitvestor?

You mean bitvisitor? Yup, and there are many more faucets like freebitco.in, and faucet rotators like landofbitcoin.

Faucets are places that drip you small amounts of BTC. In contrast, nodes are usually painted in a much better colour; nodes store a copy of the Bitcoin blockchain and help very much in network security.

A faucet it a website in which you type a captcha and get somewhere less than 1% of 5$, but payout in bitcoin. Payout and prices differ among faucets. If you hold on long enough to them you can get a dollar or so.

Look at launch of LTC was announced and he mined 1 block the genesis block. Then was open for all.  With premining even 1 percent getting on a exchange at this point  is hard.  They will ask what your coin brings to the table.   Getting adoption will be a battle, i wish you luck.

We would like the idea of getting on a exchange after the 1% is gone. I am working with a few developers to get that in the process soon.

plus we are looking into an exchange for our own site(the coins own site).

1 percent is just huge if not used for giveaways etc.  Having a coin with a different logo and name is not enough anymore.   I wish you luck but i think damage is already done with premine.

Did you pay someone to make you a coin?

I did think about that and we are not keeping the premined coins we are going to used them to help people learn how bitcoin works and how altcoin work. Most people who I talk to never heard of bitcoin. So we been trying to get on a trading exchange for btc to our coin. Without the premined it would be hard to show them how it works.

+1.

The response you get in your altcoin thread tells you exactly how people don't like pre-mining. There are only a number of people replying there, and all of the response are quite negative.
