two complete different thing, faucets is just a site that give you small amount of coin, you need to type your address in the field, nodes are other computer connected to the network
They are different and I think faucets are nothing but waste of time. They give very small amount of reward.

I did think about that and we are not keeping the premined coins we are going to used them to help people learn how bitcoin works and how altcoin work. Most people who I talk to never heard of bitcoin. So we been trying to get on a trading exchange for btc to our coin. Without the premined it would be hard to show them how it works.

Look at launch of LTC was announced and he mined 1 block the genesis block. Then was open for all.  With premining even 1 percent getting on a exchange at this point  is hard.  They will ask what your coin brings to the table.   Getting adoption will be a battle, i wish you luck.

faucet is to run a giveaway
used by altcoin owners to run giveaway and let people join this
or you can say its a kind of advertising method

they make money by selling advertising space on faucet site

Okay which is good because we premined our altcoin for giveaways. So then I would need a faucet next

I would think twice about premine.  If you look at coins most premined fail.  If you do a launch and announce time with open to all you give it a better chance long term.

okay so if i wanted to give out coins on my coin i would need a faucet for that because we have premined for an exchange or more members using the wallet. the nodes we have a few connected to the coin as it was.

A faucet would only be needed if you are trying make money off others using your website to pay them.

You should be able to pay a transmission fee on most coins and it will be sent through nodes.

So like an exchange would be a faucet?

A exchange you can change coins for a different one.

A faucet is its own beast you do something on a website and get a very very small payment.  For example a site has ad's you look at it and enter your BTC address and get a VERY small payment.

No a faucet is a service that gives out a small amount of coins for people to test it out
Example Gavins faucet long ago so people could try out bitcoin.

Faucet and nodes are not really the same things.   I node is used for connection of the coins network.  A faucet is a site where you do something and get a very very small reward.
