I don't have a faucet yet nor having a big idea about how captcha works but let me ask a question for faucets owner : did you notice with funcaptcha a difference between previous and actual payout?
I mean maybe it is just counting bots that visit the site and you think that it is blocking them, i said that because I don't see any difference between are you human and fun captcha in the way to solve things.
Correct me if I am wrong. Thx

As I said previously, I wouldn't trust these "Bots blocked" statistics from FunCaptcha at all. That said, FunCaptcha can't be solved by any CAPTCHA-solving service I've checked, so it should help to those that were really raided by bots. However sasa87it was clearly attacked by some bot and I think he was using FunCaptcha, so unless he made a mistake somewhere or was hacked, FunCaptcha can be bypassed somehow.

We're still working on more solutions to these problems.

To a bot, it could be the exact layout and way of solving. However, if the code is completely different and more confusing, a bot will have a lot more trouble solving it.

Is Funcaptcha really effective against bots? I added funcaptcha two days ago and it shows 5600 bots were blocked in 48 hours. I am using 15 sec timer + funcaptcha, will this be helpful. My average daily payout was around 0.005 BTC before funcaptcha now it is 0.01 BTC per day

Funcaptcha is working very well for me!

Just don't understand how we can earn with that..? From 2 weeks i have "Pending". Do we have to active this somehow?

I think the patent is pending for everyone. The earnings are calculated based on RPM so the estimated earnings should show once 1000 captchas are solved. As far as their captcha service is blocking bots, I would not bother much about earnings

wow that awesome Smiley
i think funcapta can block some bots

I am using clicky analytics, in the last two days I got around 3500+ visitors. I think bots are also counted as hits, so 5600 bots blocked is confusing Huh

I lost almost 0.6 Btc less than 3days! Whats happened?
i lost 0.6 btc from bot attacking.  why no response from you? my faucet closed from yesterday.

What would you like me to do? Problems with bots were already covered in this topic multiple times, there's really nothing more I can add.
I cant search at this topic,27 pages! Fun captcha service is legally?

how can I turn on all the faucet ? I do not want just one. how can I do?

What do you mean by "turn on"?

You pay a bot to solve a captcha ?

if you pay 50 satoshi a captcha ,

I would make sure that the usere must solve 10 captcha . to receive 450 satoshi .

That's correct if there's no vulnerability that allows to bypass the captcha entirely.

It would be enough to do an audit ;
if the average withdrawal in half an hour is < 30 seconds flag as address dangerous ;
Addresses are free, so a bot can just use 30 different addresses, one for each second. No single address will have withdrawals less than 30 seconds apart.

if an address works for more than an hour flag as address dangerous ;
Addresses are free, so a bot can just use another set of 30 addresses after an hour.

if an address claim more than 0.0025 in one day flag as address dangerous ;
There are many legitimate addresses like that, for example: 1BDSf6T17iCRFkSwXbWUFWqsr29j24KqGu . It's not a bot, owner of this address runs a very popular rotator. And there's a lot of rotators and faucets list etc, most of which have significant income.

Unfortunately your suggestions wouldn't help.

We really thought it through, there's not much we can do with our resources. We're preparing a service that will allow us to ban entire networks (like entire Amazon Web Services) from using faucets, but it'll take us a little while (we still need to figure a good way to detect and report new networks abused by bots) and even then it won't be perfect. They'll always be some cheap VPS provider that we didn't find.

To be honest I'm dissappointed. It's the CAPTCHA services duty to protect faucets from bots. Looks like they all fail to do that and they're only purpose is to annoy users...

you must be a guarantee , if you want to grow .

well, are you paying. I can hit the address suspicions and not pay them . discourage attacking the network faucetbox .

indeed , improve service , and acquire many independent faucet . because they would feel protected in knowing they will get back the money stolen by bots .

This is a bot .

I have made a antibot TOR node redirect with a  code for your faucet

I am selling this secret for .01 but if you're broke I WILL GIVE FREE IF YOU DON'T CHANGE THE REDIRECT PAGE FOR A MONTH. I will send through skype. Message me  in bitcointalk if interested. I don't mind sending first. Smiley

Most bots attacking FaucetBOX.com faucets don't use Tor, but public clouds like Amazon Web Services.

There is no way that I can be able to buy one scrypt " premium " ?
You help me to " defend " ?
It's difficult to defend against things that look like humans. It's not that he doesn't want to help, he can't do very much.

i must only select cloudfire on page advanced to active proxy?

No, as you don't use CloudFlare. Using Faucet in a Box script behind a load balancer is a bad idea if you don't know what you're doing.

Also: I think that you weren't just hit by a bot, you were hacked, which allowed the attacker to bypass your faucet's security measures. Payments patterns looks way different when people are just hit by usual bots.

Manual validation is a stupid idea, unless you want to go through hundreds (maybe thousands) of transactions per day, every day.

Trivia: yesterday we sent coins to over 16 thousands addresses. And that's just Bitcoin.

i just looked it up By my count, there are now 10,130,200 IP's for AWS Public IP Address  way to many for a htaccess redirect code.... would probably freeze the server.
