Coinbase used to work in my country, South Africa. I am not sure if they still work now.
Seems like the best one for my side of land is localbitcoins.com. If you live in a 1st world part of the earth, you shouldn't have a problem with Coinbase, Bit-X or Bit-e

Have to stick with Coinbase for BTC/USD.   It works but still don't keep much on there.  For alts. I really like Banx.io It used to be Atomic-Trade but recently merged with Banx.  Much faster and secure than Polo/Bittrex.   It's been around for over  a year and has never been hacked.  Another plus is it's licensed/registered in the US.

to trade in Kenya, Indonesia, South Africa and Malaysia.

I usually trade with this site

No you got me wrong. I just said that I found a better exchange that suits me better.

I have never said that bit-x.com is a scam Smiley

Bit-X is on the upside for now  Cool
spending more than BTC20 / month for signature campaign is awesome

I used to like Poloniex the most.
But since they seemed to me that they started to increase some of the fees, I am just looking for a good replacement.

Then you should go for bit-x or btc-e [but not recommended that much]

Thanks, but they don't have (yet?) the altcoins I also play with.
Bittrex has too many coins and I've also read some odd news at some point.
HitBtc looks good, but .. I am still searching.
Will keep an eye on this thread, may help me too.

You can recomend bit-x which coin do you want to see in bit-x, they have a recomendation page. They will add it for you

I actually sent an email to the support asking a few questions, but after a week still no response.

I guess crappy support team for bit-x.

You can ask your question here, marco will reply you when he will be there
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bit-xcom-exchange-btc-ltc-usd-eur-gbp-rub-bitcoin-debit-card-874312

Thanks

Nah, it's fine. Found another exchange who is fast, trusted and gives me a good rate.
Although it's certain that it won't scam me because it's an Australian company and provides an ABN, and there's numerous positive feedbacks, but who has used igot.com before?

Thanks

Would you think that site the marco is advertising is scam you? The site that is giving away more than 20 btc every month on sig campains ?

I'd probably say Poloniex. Not for anything else, but just that I happened to have made some profit from the site.

But the transaction processing time is freaking long.

Yeah. If you want to sell your bitcoins on localbitcoin.com , you get the cash first from the buyer and you need to release his coins afterwards.  This is the best exchange I had ever seen in my life.

There are so many right now. Apart from the one in my signature, there are localbitcoins, kraken, cryptsy, poloniex which I've all used before without facing any problem. currently I'm using bittrex and there is quite a heavy movement over there which makes it great for doing fast trading and also fast profit.

kraken, for the fee and the speed

Is Kraken like Circle?
Deposit/Withdrawal from the company? or do you have to look/create offers?

No, it isn't. kraken is different from circle, you should deposit eur with a simple bank trasfer and after create the buy order.

The Kraken is good if you live in the EU in a country that uses the Euro because it does SEPA bank transfers for a tiny fee (something like 9 cents). If you live outside the EU you have to pay the going rate for a normal wire transfer which is a hell of a lot more.
