I'll close it until I can get the stale rate down, thanks for testing it.

I sent some payments out manually from my wallet to the addresses I saw on there.

much appreciated Smiley

How can you claim there was no pre-mine when you haven't announced your coin before starting it ?

And no, announcing it 5 min before launch does not count.

Why not?
I was in the forum at the right time.
when i started there was like 300 blocks.

Nobody told me... i was paying attention.

I think his point is that it's not fair to those of us who aren't available to stalk the forums all day long. A true "no pre-mine" is when a coin is announced days, weeks or months in advance (not minutes in advance) so everyone has a TRUE equal opportunity at being an "early adopter".

I'm not complaining since I could care less about his "nothing new / me too coin" ... but, You must usually allow a week or more to allow people to review the code or understand the concept.

In this case it was needed to start it fast because there was really nothing worthy to spend time understanding.

Here is an example of a coin that was released with no pre-mine.

I did a poor job of modifying p2pool but it seems to work, I got a block to pay out to my address anyway.

cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://fpool1.zapto.org:19327 -s 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0 -u PUT_YOUR_FC_ADDR_HERE -p x (and other tuning stuff)

No GUI but you can go here http://fpool1.zapto.org:19327/static/  and on the bottom make sure your address shows up for a payout after you earn some shares. If you have a payout and you notice a new block is found (in the table) and you didn't get paid, then let me know / disconnect. I haven't tested it out enough yet.

The stale rate is too high Sad

got it work with cudaminer aswell with the following settings :

cudaminer.exe -o fpool1.zapto.org:19327 -u -p x , however 50% are rejected, so perhaps not the best option Smiley

Shouldn't we have one by now? I usually find one in this amount of time solo.

Probably, but it's seeing 50% DOA so the pool's net rate is a block every 15 minutes. If nothing pays in the next 10 I'll close it for troubleshooting and send some payments to the shares I see.

Anyone can post detailed how to compile cpooler cpu miner? I want to experiment with some prototype coins hence the request Smiley

Also I am happy to provide server with fat internet pipe in usa datacentre for the pool for this coin for say 1,2 day, in exchange for chance to understand how pools work Wink I am going to exercise if someone wants me to setup up pool server with putty access let me know Smiley

Just got a payout, did your wallets see any action?

Let me know when you get another one, I just pointed my 1500 Kh/s at it like 5 minutes ago, nothing yet.

There will be more coins...

I guess it would be helpful if there was a topic labeled:
"Launching a new coin?  New coin guidelines to follow"

Maybe in the newbies section...

I think it's generally assumed that if you are forking your own coin you have most likely been around long enough to see enough complaints about coins which are mined with little to no announcement in advance and should theoretically know and comprehend the true definition of the phrase "no pre-mine".
