Normally for someone who takes football so serious without having the understanding of sport will always feel unhappy whenever his team lose and it is not suppose to be this way. A match is a game that is always unpredicted that you can't really tell even which team will win. Sometimes we support the best team to win but because of how games can unpredicted the best team we think we think can win a match can also miss it without anyone expecting it because of how strong the team is .

It is important for people to understand what sport is all about , their is no need to have hard feelings about it because it is all about luck and anything  can happen .

It's part of the game, it is what makes betting exciting the expectation of winning and the agony and sadness of losing, you have to expect this from happening so it's always advisable to accept the outcome even if it hurts if you can accept winning you also have to accept that you can lose.

This is why you only have to bet based on your capacity to bet to avoid troubling yourself, gambling is a game of unexpected even the best team could lose to a weak team.

Of course, losing your favorite team or (especially) losing a bet is a little disappointing for every player. But it’s hardly worth taking this so seriously. After all, losing is part of the game and there are no players who do not lose. On the other hand, every loss should teach us something. If your loss doesn't teach you anything, there's something wrong with you. You are doing something wrong. In general, this is a very cool idea - making the most of losses. How can you do this? At least by collecting your statistics and summarizing them.

Show me somebody who feels happy when he looses money, his favourite team looses or he fails at something. Even though who have said goodbye to money when they have place a bet before the event, feel bad when they start to realise that they have lost. I doubt that gamblers can be called or have something equal to masochists, or feel positive vibes when everything goes bad and they feel pain. Maybe people are good at hiding their emotions during the loss and someone think that people dont feel bad when the lose, but in reality such people curse silently

Of course, everyone feels like that, being sad is part of placing a bet and also as a fan of the sport. Your mood will be completely affected by different reasons like the amount of money you bet, the outcome of the game, and most especially because you feel disappointed by the defeat of the team you supported and placed a bet on until the end of the game.

Sometimes we have a double disappointment if we have high expectations and even consider that the team you put your bet on has a higher chance of winning based on the statistics you have checked prior to placing the bet. That's really disappointing to see the result like that.

I'm actually not very happy when betting on my team when facing a team that also has the same strength, obviously it will make me lose money if the team I like turns out to play unsatisfactorily, I'm not a fanatical supporter of the team I like, it's just betting. it uses money so I always use money that I am really ready to lose, even though it is okay to bet on our favorite team, that doesn't mean throwing away money just betting on a match that is quite complicated to win, especially against a team that is also strong.

Incidentally, I am happy with Manchester City. I will not bet on my team when they face Madrid in the UCL quarter-final match. To be honest, I feel annoyed and disappointed when I lose a bet on my favorite team. That must be there because I once bet on Manchester City when they faced Chelsea at that time, but the final result turned out to be a draw even though Chelsea played inconsistently at that time but my team couldn't beat them instead they got a draw and the saddest thing was how easily four goals could go into Manchester City's goal, that was a terrible defeat I really can't forget and I lost my money betting on that match. 

If I use just small change to stake, I will not feel sad at all. If I use high amount of money to gamble, I will feel very sad. What that will determine my emotion is how much I used to stake the match.

It is not about my team it about the team that I placed bet on. If there is no bet, I can not be sad for my team losing. But I noticed that when my country lost in final match of AFCON, I felt bad but I was happy and good from the inside because it is just a football match.

It's always sad when the team we support loses, but the feeling of losing a bet is different from when we don't place a bet. This happens because we are losing money, and no one wants to lose money. I never placed a bet so that it would just be more interesting to watch the match, I always wanted to win, and of course losing affected my mood, even losing a small amount made me upset. I think this is a normal human reaction to a loss, by the way, I experience something similar when I have to close losing trades in trading.

Honestly, it cannot be denied that my favorite team loses, especially in a crucial match. my response at that time depends on the situation and conditions when watching the match. It could be that, as you said, our mood will disappear, especially if we also involve betting. this kind of situation, is nothing new in sports betting. in fact, we often experience this over and over again. But what I prioritize is how a team plays its match. I mean my favorite team, as well as their opponents.
For me, I enjoy the progress of the match more, enjoy the game, especially if both teams perform equally well. Well, this gives me a stronger adrenaline rush.

I will take examples of several matches, but not my favorite team. in last year's Europa League final, the match was really very boring. In another match between Madrid and Manchester City, I enjoyed how City played the match very well. As a football lover, I enjoy matches that show excitement in the game. Likewise with my favorite team, if they lose and they perform well. on the other hand, the opponent played much better, I already enjoyed the match despite the fact that I lost the bet. On the other hand, what annoys me is if my favorite team plays badly even though they win the match. well, this is my perspective in football regardless of my favorite team and betting.

It won't really affect our mood if the bet we make is not on our favorite team, but it will be a double disappointment if we lose the bet and also see our favorite team lose.
However, actually I don't bet too often on my favorite team or athlete because the odds are sometimes not interesting at all, but when I see them as the most favorites losing it is quite disturbing to other activities because as fans we really hope the team we like will win, like the Liverpool vs Manchester United match a few days ago, it was quite annoying and disappointing how they couldn't maintain their lead and lost in the final minutes of the match because of a fatal mistake.

I bet you are not sad because your team lose the match, you are sad because you lose money, everyone hates to lose money in anyway and thats why many people are stagnant in life, losing money should bring you more knowledge but in the case of gambling you can't grow.

You are left with the option to reduce the money on your bets, I won't feel a thing if I lost $0.50 in a bet, its not compare to how much I can earn in a week, not even close to a quarter of how much I used to make, isn't this the perfect way to take risks in gambling?

Since its all about luck, why should I even risk any good amount on gambling? Its not investment where you can risk some money in different projects and hope for one to do well, to gain all you have risked back and also make some good amount of money.

Nothing will stop you from feeling sad when your favorite team lost a match unless you're not dedicated to that team. It's more painful when you bet on them and lose at the same time. I have my favorite team I support but I don't often bet on them to avoid story that touches the heart unless when they play against a very weak team that I have much confident on their winning. However, this feeling is sometimes subjected to factors like a team playing against your favorite team or the manner in which you place bet on them. There are some matches that you know your team will definitely lose and you won't feel sad about it if they eventually lost the match. In such situations, you don't bother placing bet on them because there's no guarantee. What hurt more is when your team lost lost to underdog teams after you confidently bet on them. The best is to gamble responsibly either or your prefer team or another teams.

I think this is a double sadness when your favorite team loses, but you also lose money because you bet on it. This is a common sadness when we play sports betting, because most of us prefer to bet on our favorite team, rather than follow in analytical data. Even though we know our team is not as good as opponent , if we watch the match live, we can't help but bet on our team, right? I have also experienced this double sadness many times, so now I only bet on my favorite team when they play against the underdog team.

The level of sadness will depend on the competition and the importance of the game your team is playing, If it a trophy deciding game, I will feel sad if my team looses. Likewise the level of sadness you will feel if you loose a bet will depend on the amount of money you stood to win, or the amount of money you gambled with in the first place. If you used a big amount in betting, and you loose, you will be sad. If you used a moderate amount and then lost the potential win which was huge, you will also be sad.

This is double kill so no one will be happy about experiencing this kind of losses. I’m always place bet to my favorite team so that I can have extra fun while watching them since both I and the team itself has something important for their specific matches. This way I can feel the importance of the game to win because Imhave stake on the mathc same with them that is important to their franchise.

I think no one will be happy after experiencing this scenario unless they have a second favorite that needs this lose in able for them to move forward just like the regular season final matches for qualification on the play offs match.

It is common and quite normal in my opinion to feel sadness and even disappointment when one's team does not manage the give us a victory (both morally and monetarily).
I personally feel quite affected when I lose money on bets, for some reason, so I try to only bet with moderation and when I do, it is on teams which I feel quite confidence they are going to perform well in the match, otherwise I choose not to place a bet at all.
It is not only about common sense, but money and sentimental management on what one is doing with one's money.

If someone does not hurt when losing money on sport betting, then I would say that is also a problem, the apathy to one's losses also leads to financial problems.

The feeling is more saddened when you place your bet on your team and they still lose a match . If you are a regular Gambler or regular football fanatic, this is more like a reoccurring decimal to some of us that are gamblings. As a sportsman this will be a normal thing to you,  you shouldn't be too angry because it happens on a regular basis. So in answering your question OP, I don't have mixed feelings any more when my team loses a match, same thing when I lose a bet.

If the opposite team is a capable team and has the same strength and potential to win I won't feel bad especially if they played well. It is a game and so it should be taken.

But if they lost to underdogs then it will be taken in another dimension especially if they lost woefully.


Most times when gamblers feel bad about losing a match is because they have over staked their capacity and so they regret betting as much as that and wish they didn't bet that much and had the money with them. So, it is a natural feeling that depends on how much was involved.


Having the ability to control oneself after the outcome of a match is very important. Some gamblers grumble for a long time after they lose their bet or their team fail to win and that is not very good to our health. At every point we don't need to stress the heart because when you leave yourself to feel bad after a long time that could create sadness in your body that can also bring you down to a point except you got hold of yourself and move on.

The best and proper way to deal with gambling loses is to deal with it as a game and you don't have to over stake on a bet.

My team winning or not winning definitely has an impact on my mood. Losing a bet doesn’t bother me too much because I don’t make large bets.

I usually only make $20 accumulators so a win is usually $250 - $400. Obviously I enjoy winning but it doesn’t seem to happen that often

For sure it will make me sad if my favorite team loses for sure, it wasn't going to be a good day just remember NBA finals and how hype it is, plus if I had a bet on it that would probably be worse.

It is part of the game, we surely gonna have losers and winners in the end, but that is where the sportsmanship came in right, the game is entertaining and fun at the same time because of this thing.

Were surely gonna hate losing, I mean who doesn't want to win, after all, this is all part of the game, and gambling as well, if you don't feel anything when you win or lose on the game and on the betting probably because you're not really enjoying it, probably it might be one essence of it, In the first place sports is entertainment and gambling as well so we should get entertain on it.
