As much as we know that the election wasn't done transparently, there is still a handful of Nigerians that voted for Tinibu to be the preside so one way or another, they all contributed to oyr current predicament. It was clear from the onset that there wasn't much to Tinubu's intentions other than the fact that he just wants that power like you mentioned.

- All his relief packages including school loans, this 8k naira distribution are geared towards poor families which makes sense zero because that money will do very little for the said family. Also, Nigeria has plenty of money and resources but government is only throwing crumbs to it's citizens. Government can to 100x better but choose not to.

Exactly i agree with you, he just wants to rule so that dey will put is name in the constitution that is one of president in Nigeria he never even reach one year our economy just dey somehow. Op you really make sense with wetin wey you talk for here, to me I don't think the 8k will do anything to the poor, with the way this country be na, na wetin 8k want do sef, 8k for a whole month and the the 8k na for the whole family, even if say una dey 5 persons for una house na the 8k una go use.
People like us wey dey use internet on daily bases sef, that 8k no go even reach us buy data for the month not to talk more of feeding with thesame 8k.

Okay even if the government want really share the 8k, the people wey  dey front go no allow the money reach the real poor people, because mago mago go dey inside the sharing formula, people wey dey close to government go use this sharing as an avenue to use enrich themselves and their families, the money go reach the poor people at all..

Me I for say make the government just try work on this fuel subsidy and make the price of fuel come down so the poor can access the fuel and go on with our day to day activities, this 8k sharing formula no go help at all, the money too small, and the money sef no go kuku reach the poor, na people wey dey front go still chop the money...

That is the most stupid thing ever. And this shows that Tinubu e no go fit do anything in this country. In fact the way things are going, nothing good go come out from this government. If you want to do things you no dey use force but in a gradual process but Tinubu is using force and things are not working the way we want.

Tinubu removed fuel subsidy since June and fuel go up to 500+ so I no see any reason for fuel to go up again in this month abi dem secretly removed subsidy again, I no come understand the whole thing again sef.

Now coming to the 8k for six months, that is the most useless thing ever. We are crying for high cost of living and dem dey tok about giving us 8k. Where 8k go help pesen when a dollar is 800 naira now. This president has nothing to offer.

I'm not surprised by everything that is happening in the country or the policies being put in place by the tinubu government. It was clear that Tinubu has no real ideas that would help Nigeria grow other than the fact that he just wanted to rule. It's a good thing that those people that voted for him are all experiencing the effects of their choices like everyone else. Might escalate further, we're less than 2 months in.

Chai.. My country Nigeria, when will our governments learn how to live above expectations of her citizenry? Which one be 8k for this time wey price of goods and services d on a rise? The 8k for cushion fee for fuel as they take put am no be around   13litres if you calculate am with today's price of fuel wey be 612naira. Do they expect the poor Nigerians wey d call us to use 8k per month for buying of fuel only because no how food no d, peso go use the 8k wey FG give am to buy fuel? This our FG needs to be considerate. Make them no d take us for granted like sae we no sabi anything or get any sae for the country.

This 8k promised just d like you wound peso finish, instead of to carry am go hospital, you come carry sweet the give am make em keep quiet for the pains wey em the pass through. What can of nonsense be that?

What I see in all this things, na another way d people wey on top wey be FG wan siphon wetin no good for the country account. Em don become a normal thing for FG to the do because each government d create and promise ways dem go take help the poor, only to turn it milking project for themselves.

8k? Sometimes, I try not to be think negative about the country and her leaders. I try my best to have something positive to say about Nigeria. I try and try but the more I try the more it seems I can't find any faith left in the leadership of the country.

The distance between the rich and the poor is a wide that it is just absolutely impossible to connect the both of them. How do these people think that 8k for a month will cushion the effects of the the subsidy removal? How does this even make any atom of sense. Some very poor people spend 8k in 5 days on transportation fare from their house to their work place alone. We haven't talked about food and other daily needs.

Our government has failed us.

No mind them, dem dun dey find new ways to carry pocket money wey was meant for poor masses. Why we no get sense for this country, our government only like to dey give palliative so we go dey mumu for dem dey vote dem into office so dem go continue to dey give us chicken change from the millions dem dey thief. So you go give millions to politicians for allowance and salary but na 8k you wan give family to use hold body because of fuel subsidy. Tinubu dun dey disappoint me, I no expect him administration to dey follow bubu steps. Why dem no use this money put together carry do something wey we go see know say our government dey work and that thing fit bring employment for us so we go dey see food chop everyday and no be this handout wey no go even do to feed us for 1 day.

You no know the poor masses, na their people dem na, na people wey go pocket the money as dem dey use am compensate them for helping in giving the current administration power. How dem go use track say the money dey go the right home if for real dem wan run this thing from their good hearts. The doubt for the way dem don make this palliative something be don dey high. Of course Nigeria phenomenon go still enter the whole thing because we fit still dey hear say Dem want pay while some don collect as e take happen for COVID-19 palliative. We dey in a precarious situation with the government distrust. I'm sure say this past election don open people eyes say the people wey dey always enter for government no be people wey we elect to enter office. I no see any sense wey dey for the palliative wey dem dey plan say dem want do while people suffer don increase.

I am wondering how they are even going to distribute the money, is it that people will apply or what strategy will be used aside from it being a scam as far as our leaders are concerned, what annoys me most is that, 8,000 naira is too small to be shared is better they don't even give anything at all, a country like Nigeria sharing 8k with all these plenty expenses, not worth it, I actually expected more from the government, am sure they won't even pay.

To share money to people no even be the thing because me I know say na scam we go see. No be so the school feeding take dey happen until breeze don blow and we don see the colour of fowl yansh, if you know, you know 

Government no dey do wetin Dem suppose do. Dem always want make loop hole for syphoning our money. Nothing stop government to identify the people wey go get this through BVN. But make them build infrastructure, no be the story of sharing money because na scam.

They don't have any particular strategy to use than to randomize the whole process and the lucky ones will have the opportunity to apply for this grant and get awarded, some may not be aware, some may wrongly apply for it while some may apply but never get any feedback from the application made, everything has to do with taking risk, we can still have some people who will have the opportunity of having more than one when some were yet to receive anything, things can never be balanced this way except the government adopted more accurate means to ensure equal distribution with fare justice.

As it is now everyone living in Nigeria knows that 8k monthly can not go a long way for a family catering, because naira had lose its value for a long long time ago, if we continue to depends on the government funds we can't meet up to our standard of life we wants for our families.


We all know the real aspect of the whole thing in Nigeria, we can't easily get free funds except through luck 🤞, if we managed to get this free funds I have a thought that it might be only 5k down word or nothing so I don't expect people to put their hopes on the free funds.


That thought of yours can't be done anytime soon because even the government as some citizens don't even have time anymore because we 9ja we all have the mindset of adaptation.

As it is currently in Nigeria, 8,000 cannot comfortably cater for the monthly grocery supply of a family regardless of the size of the family. Let's not even add even aff transportation and other necessities.

Well, I'm not sure how they arrived at this said amount to be disbursed to the entire populace, but I feel there should have been better ways to cushion the effect of subsidy removal and not just by disbursing a mere 8,000 that's not going to yield anything meaningful than a meagre square meal.

The sad reality of this disbursement is, not everyone will have access to the funds eventually. Because someone might just end up diverting a chunk of the fund for his/her selfish interest. Such a sad reality.

In my opinion, the PBAT economic team should come up with creative ideas than disbursement of 8,000. And whoever is in charge should be keenly observed to avoid misappropriation of funds.

Ah no expect much from PDAT and I no dey surprised by dis decision to give 8k to poor Nigerian families in de next 6 months to cushion the effect of Fuel subsidy removal, maybe na because I no like de way de administration take enta office. I no support this move at all because na waste of de people money. Wetin de 8k wan do for de life of an ordinary Nigerian talk atleast of giving 8k to each Nigerian family. We no dey hungry abeg make dem use de money do beta tin. Dis one na anoda wey to loot money be dat because las las dem go just give us  update leta say after de removal of fuel subsidy, de PDAT led administration was able to assist Nigerians financially in dis difficult time by giving each families 8k.

What do you expect from a government that claim to be feeding school children that are locked down at home during covid19? Abi you dey forget when they told us they used recovered Abacha loot to lift 10 million Nigerians out of poverty?

If monkey, snakes, rodents and other animals ate billions under Buhari, don't expect anything to change now so long as APC is still in power.

This is a useless orientation and initiative from the new administrative, I thought that Tinubu has come to liberate the people of Nigeria from poverty but instead he has come to make things worst than before. If these poor ones are given 8k for 6 months,who will fend for them for the remaining 3yrs and 6 months but because the hardship continues.

8k is nothing compared to the high rate of inflation that they country is in which was because of the removal of fuel subsidy.
I don't see any good that this new government will do to the people,because Tinubu has gone to borrow money from other country to use for their personal and greedy interest. I pity this our people for Nigeria because when our debt reach an extent those foreign countries go come take over our country and we go become their slaves. All Nigeria leaders are the same people with different name.
