The federal government plans to use 500,000,000 billion naira to give people 8,000 naira as a one time payment, I think this is a very unthoughtful move and it shows the government has a shallow mindset for Nigeria and Nigerians.

It is a one time payment but I think the government wants to provide palliatives to every part of the nation to ease the pain of this fuel subsidy removal which made the price of PMS to be higher which is also affecting the citizens in their daily activities.

Currently in the country 8000 naira is practically useless due to the bad economy and harsh recession the country finds itself in, I think rather we use the money to see how to make use of out natural resources and try as much as possible to be a producing country rather than a consuming country.

We hope and pray that the government looks in to that possibility and explore our natural resources. N8000 might be very small to you but in some parts of Nigeria and their way of living, N8000 will go a long way to solve the affairs of their daily needs for some period of time. This cannot lead the poor out of poverty but will definitely lead to decrease in pain and suffering being encountered by many of them now.

We've heard from the news, the plans federal government has towards the poor,  they say is to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy, which is giving the poor 8k per month for the next six months to 12 million people.
Story story every day in this our country, I don’t even know why Federal Government is making such promises, is it because they are looking down on us? because what will 8k do for us in this current situation where price of goods and services are high.

1, how do you identify the poor in Nigeria, because half of the Nigerian population are not working, so they can be seen to be poor too, so what measures will the FG deploy for the selection of the poor?
Because in the Buhari's administration, we had a social intervention program introduced too, and the FG said, they selected the poorest of the poor for the program, and billions of naira was doled out for that program and lots of people never saw a dime from it.
When it comes to sharing anything to benefits the poor, Federal Government will always be looking for ways to cheat the poor because the people running the government will still be the once to share the benefits for themselves and federal government will be claiming they have distributed goods to the poor where the poor did not receive anything.

But when it comes to sharing and collection of electricity Bills, they will know their way to each and everyone’s house to collect their money.

2, to what extent will 8 thousand naira go in cushioning the effect?
To what extent will 8 thousand go in cushioning the effect of the fuel subsidy, because the prices of goods and services has gone astronomically high, ranging from electricity bill, transportation, food items etc...
They don are how far it will go because they know that they have all it takes to survive, they just want to do it so that they will use it to brag when looking for extension in the next election.

3. the last administration had this idea.
The previous administration had a conditional cash transfer, that we couldn't find a single person that benefited from that program, now to what extent did the program go, they said they gave physical cash to millions of people.
I think the FG should come up with real robust plan to  really cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy,  like providing busses 🚌🚌🚌  at strategic locations within the country, that people can pay a subsidised transport fee,  constant electricity at an affordable rate across the country and fighting food inflation etc

Creating employment opportunities and skills will go a long way because if everyone have something doing, we will not see the effect that much if we all have money to afford our bills.

Abeg even if as we no support the evil goment make we dey try talk tru and discredit with fact. Na tru say dem chop money inside well well but dey share too. People benefit from my house but people wey come to give them money commot 2k inside the 10k wey dem suppose give them. E go dey hard for corruption to end for this our country. Trader money also dey and many people benefit from it including myself thou na just 10k. No be say I dey hail the government but make we talk tru some times and desist from online propaganda abeg.

The names, account number /bvn of people working with government, companies or business who earn above 100k should be collected and set aside, then every account not associated with the working class or earn less than 100k should be paid 30k on monthly basis.

Wait ooo how many people dey earn more than 100k monthly for this country? You for just talk say make dem pay 2/3 of the entire population na. The salary of director wey be the highest paid officer for civil service is slightly above 500k and the rest range from level 10 down ward earn less than 100k so everyone is qualified for the palliative be that if we are to go by that formula.

Make dem bring back humanitarian Sadiya to share this 8k palliative, she knows the poor Nigerians. We go use am buy Bobo drink Lol Grin

This is thoughtful of you, do they think they can play with our intelligence?.

If anything will be done, I can suggest FG to beat the money up to 30k , then requirement to be a beneficiary should be by having a bank account.

The names, account number /bvn of people working with government, companies or business who earn above 100k should be collected and set aside, then every account not associated with the working class or earn less than 100k should be paid 30k on monthly basis.

To do this, it requires skilled and professional technologist/programmers to put this in order to avoid embezzlement. This mechanism will be automated such that everyone recieves their pay directly, no need to entrust Any special body with the disbursement of the fund.  I believe it is possible since the bvn carries the people's information.
Bank account that must be used must  be trusted banks in Nigeria.

Everyone who didn't recieve it's pay should forward complain to a body who is entrusted to monitor the flow of money into all acoount.
