Fibre v1.0.0.8 mandatory update

As promised we have now updated Fibre to fix the block chain fork issues some people have experienced during launch. Unfortunately forking can happen for many different reasons, and in this case if you are having issues you will need to follow theses instructions.

Update Instructions:

- Download the new wallet. latest links will be in the OP.
- make sure your old wallet is not running.
- locate your Fibre support folder,

default locations are...
Windows :[C:\Users\<>\AppData\Roaming\Fibre]
OSX: [/Users/<>/Library/Application Support/Fibre]

- Make a backup of the wallet.dat file somewhere safe on your PC / in another folder etc..
- Delete all the files and folder in there EXCEPT your wallet.dat file, DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE or you will loose all your coins!
- Now start the new wallet and you will be syncing on the correct chain.

As it says above the update is mandatory but is not classed as a hard fork.

Thanks.

Thanks Bobby6killers!!

I have added the update to the ANN and updated the Windows Wallet download link and GitHub.

Also, thanks you to the community!! We could have been swamped with a wave of FUD. But everyone kept their cool and let us resolve the issues.

This is not one of the many shit/scam/crap/bull coins released everyday. We are going to build something here and we want you all to join us.

Killa

i have also set the payment to auto payout mode

Actually I think as long as we keep our old wallet.dat we should receive all payments once the new wallet is out Smiley

Correct!! This is the case.

Do not delete your wallet.dat under any circumstances.

please do not move any coins out of the pools until the new wallet update is ready to use

 Oh dear... Really?

I've been using auto payout, as I'm sure pretty much everyone else has.. So does that mean its all lost?

Cheers.

Hi All
unfortunately sometime a blockchain fork will occur if there is an error caused by a wallet during launch time, and during launch time when there is massive fluctuations in Hashing power going into the network is the most likely time to happen.

All morning we've been working to determined that the chain fibre.suprnova.cc is on is the correct version and will be pushing out a new wallet update with instructions on how to make sure the correct chain is picked up when launching.

just to make sure, please do not move any coins out of the pools until the new wallet update is ready to use, which will be within the next few hours. The new wallet will also include a checkpoint to make sure it only connects to the correct blockchain

Thanks

Thanks bobby6killers!! I have removed the download links until the updated version's are ready.
