Anything that makes any match to reach the extra time and then to penalties is no longer a game of who is more better, Brazil was truly better than croatia but when the game reached penalties it was all luck to control who is gonna win the game and they lost.

Am really disappointed in Brazil because i just a 100$ stake on them to qualify to the next stage and they have truly disappointed me for now i think i will juat lay low and just go for a first half draw in the remaining games because this round of 8 is really a do or die affair

I just can't take this result man. Croatia just parked the bus and somehow carried the game to the penalty shoot-outs. This is like the most boring kind of game strategy I have ever seen. Of course I know that they were the underdog and they needed to play more carefully. But I just don't believe they deserved to advance.

It is a huge disappointment for Brazil. They really tried their best from the beginning to the end. Neymar's goal was a result of a great organization and I was like "That's it!". But Croatia still scored the goal somehow. Brazil needed to be more aware in defense after getting ahead.

What a goal that was by Neymar Jr. But in the end that has come to nothing. Brazil fought like a man and lost. Croatia has always done the same. They have dragged every match to penalty and won. This is like history repeat itself. I hate European gameplay. They have like no class in football gameplay. Let's see what the other team does in this series.

We weren't playing good this whole championship but we are an experienced team that plays the best when no one gives us any chance, like today. After first 5 minutes it was obvious that we will give them hell and that it won't be easy win by Brazil as everyone expected. The point is that Brazil scored the goal in the 105 minutes and when they know they had to defend for only 15 more minutes why they kept the defense too open? Why Brazil did not go all in defensive and win the match? I think Brazil missed the trick here and lost the match that they should have won.

Bad luck to Brazil as they were one of the teams who could have and were capable of winning this world cup but they were eliminated in the quarterfinal by a weaker team Croatia.

Yes Levakovic is a hero for Croatia tonight, for sure, if it wasn't for him there would be no penalty shootout.
Brazilians probably did not expect such a stubborn game. This is generally the problem of South American national teams, they are very dependent on the mood.
Neymar of course tried as hard as he could and almost made the game, but then some unimaginable way Croats won back, probably affected by the fact that Brazil has older defenders, who can still play at a high tempo in the main time, but the additional one is felt to be lack of strength.

It wasn't unbelievable but rather unexpected. Brazil tipped to play the finals have been eliminated. I don't agree with you that its an early stage the last eight isn't early. Although shocking but it wasn't a big upset like the Argentines vs Arabian. The problem I have is Brazil always depends on individual brilliance and went off immediately after scoring. Croatia showed tenacity, dedication, team work and had believe. Livakovic made 9 saves to send Croatia to extra time. Another wonderful display by the Croatian, he deserves a red carpet welcome no matter were they finish from here.

Any country coming to face Croatia at semis must be prepared. A back to back semi final isn't just a luck. This is the real generation squad
