Well, seems so obvious, but I still didn't place that bet... The French team secured their first place, maybe they will rest some important players and play a relaxed game. And Tunisia has some theoretical chances to pass if they win with more than two goals difference (and it's very, very hard) and draw between Denmark and Australia.

And I am not sure about Denmark, I expected more from them definitely. Can they wake up before this match? I'm not sure about that, and Australia will not give up that easily. Anyway, it will be a tough game!

To me Iran looked like lack of attack , their main focus was defence and control ball which definitely helped them to control USA from scoring more goals.
The Iranian players were totally focused on ball possesions, of they have worked and tried for attacking side they would have scored 1 goal . But anyways a good game from two teams but I was expecting Iran to win .

Here I agree with you, the sport has changed, I can’t say that it really angers me, but it definitely reduces my interest in events when I see clear signs of such interference. USA has appeared 11 times in the FIFA world cup. Their first participation in 1930 they advanced to semi-finals. Since then they have had series of group stage and knock out stage eliminations in which 2002 the reached the quarter finals. 2022 might seem a bit different for them the have advanced to the knock stage again after defeating Iran by 1 goal. They will have to work harder to escape been eliminated from the knock out stage because Netherland might be a strong contender for them.

USA really suprised me in this world cup, I don't really believe they are going to perform well in this world cup, let's see what will happen in round of 16. This world cup is just completely different, most of the countries that I under estimated are really performing pretty well in this world cup, I noticed some African countries are also performing incredibly well. Bravo! I have never doubted the USA against Iran, and the team did well, they planned their world cup strategy very well and got to the round of 16. This means so much, their main defensive strategy is paying off. They could not qualify for the 2018 tournament, but they have proven again that they are worthy contenders in this year's competition. And as for your concern about whether they have ever qualified for this round, yes, they qualified in 2010 and 2014. The team has always faced challenges, but they mostly give their opponents trouble if they want to.

USA is not a country with so many great players and neither are they known in history as very strong footballing country but with the way they are playing in this world cup you will understand that they planned this world cup and they are following a particular method to succeed.
