Yes, Argentina is a great selection and, if you say that they are favorites, I don't doubt, even when France won the last trophy. In my opinion, this is the main reason that I believe that the two most deserving teams were able to reach the World Cup finals. Both France and Argentina were thought to be contenders for the World Cup.

I think France has an average defense but their midfield and attacking options are really effective. But I do not think that France has a bad defense. Maybe they lack a bit of coordination, but that is not a serious thing.

On the other hand, Argentina have a really well-rounded team with Lionel Messi playing one of the most impressive World Cups of his career in my opinion. Yes, Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia but that does not make them a substandard team.

As a whole, I think this World Cup will be an exciting final, and I'm looking forward to it.
