Technically they have even the best squad among the other teams in my opinion. If they keep up a good form and Southgate makes the right decisions then they are also a big candidate for the title. Besides Maguire's absence made me uncomfortable first but he played decently in this one. He had a shot bouncing off the goal post and he made an assist also.
England dominated from the start so it was difficult for Iran who lost in competitive quality and just kept defending and playing counterattacks. Even so, I appreciate the 2 goals they scored in this match, although there is a bit of regret for not seeing Kane's name on the scorer's list for England.
Right now I'm looking forward to another game between the Netherlands and Senegal and I'm optimistic about the Netherlands in this match.
