Iran is not a strong team to be compared with England no doubt about it but this is a world cup where a lot of preparations are made so every country is expected to display a prolific performance despite the number of stars in the team which they play against in the group stage. Truth be told England is a better team and it's a clear indication of the goals they have scored in the first half and the great performances from the England squad.

England is not lucky to be in the group B where they are because every group has a strong county in it so I think USA and Wales are also good teams in the group so England will have to fight to also win their other games after defeating Iran today for the comparison between the host nation and Iran, I think Iran has a better team than Qatar.

I agree Iran is not a worthy opponent for England, the game has been going on -+60 England beat Iran 4-0, I believe in the second half England will add another goal for Iran, Iran in my opinion is not a worthy opponent to be scheduled for the 2022 world cup for british english.

It's very far from Iran on the counterattack in the second half I've seen this game in the first half and Iran didn't perform so well that I assume England will win in composure.
England can get through the next matches with USA and Wales as long as their game can be consistent like this and maybe it will be different. The England squad has a line of great players so that should be their mainstay in this world cup.

After seeing England play the first half I think they might even end up winning the whole world cup. They seem like a great team, many great players with strong skills, and they play very fast.

So far the Iranian front line has not threatened the British defense much, they have not even built many attacks. The difference in quality is quite far. In the first half, we saw that England performance was not matched by Iran. From all lines, of course Iran still cannot close the gap, especially the back line is very vulnerable, plus the main goalkeeper who has been replaced, it is clear that the game is in England's favor. Iran is very sorry because Iran is not able to attack much. England are more aggressive than Iran and conceded three goals to Iran. However, Iran has some faults which is that their distance from one player to another is too close. And they should play long passes. On the other hand, because England play long passes, their game is much cleaner and better Attacks are increasing.
Meanwhile Iran are playing short passes which are not clearing their game and can't hold the ball for long which is causing their game getting wasted I think Iran must play long pass.

what an incredible 3-0 at half-time. Of course I know England excel in this match. but to score 3 goals in the first half is beyond my expectations. I think the change of goalkeeper in the Iranian team really made it easy for English players to break into Iran's goal. And possession of the ball really in control by England in this first round. I wonder what Iran will do in the second half. whether they will focus on strengthening defense as their strategy in the second half. because of course Iran doesn't want England to add goals to Iran's goal.

It was great to see England playing since the beginning, they have great speed and control of the ball. The goals were just inevitable. 73% ball possession for England in the first half, absolutely dominating Iran.

The second half will probably have more goals for England.

I was surprised to see a massive 14 minutes extra time, that must be a new rule as I thought it was 5 minutes maximum. Most players were already ready to go after 5 extra minutes.

It's been an unbelievable first half for England, packed with goals that the Iranians can't fully grasped or comprehend. It just keeps coming and coming. Interestingly, Harry Maguire has been impressive in the game, much more than his club side performance. He's had better ball interception, defence, had a ball on the wood work and an assist for Bukayo Saka. Wonderful goal by B. Saka, lobbing the ball right over the obstacle and found the back of the net.
Haven't been an easy one for Harry Kane, as the Iranian defence have found a way to nail him down not to make any dangerous moves but then, his got his moment with an assist.
