My favorite club (Flamengo) can finally play against European giants, although in recent years Flamengo has been in decline (or bad lucky). Maybe with coach Filipe Luis, who is young and has a winning spirit, things will change, because the last coaches we had were nothing but disappointment after disappointment.
Flamengo is in the same group with Chelsea which is the club I support especially from the fact that none of my country club made it this far. Is good to know Filipe Luis is now the manager of this club. It will be a reunion with him with his former club in the EPL which was Chelsea, I still remember he had a brief spare with Chelsea. Although they still have a high chance of making it pass group D, since there are 2 teams qualifying from each group to the next stage.

I remember when Filipe Luis played for Chelsea. He was a reserve and was very disappointed with José Mourinho for not playing, but he really wasn't doing so well defensively at that time. As for his career as a coach, he has been demonstrating a way of working that has been very pleasing to the fans. It's a style very similar to what Jorge Jesus did during the 2019 season, when he reached the Club World Cup final playing on equal terms with Liverpool.

Chelsea last played against Brazilian teams in 2022 against Palmeiras, one of the best teams in Brazil. I'm really looking forward to this championship. It's not every day that we get to see Brazilian teams playing against the big European teams.

I still don't know what to think about this tournament. FIFA is hyping it so much, but I'm not very excited about it yet. I don't know how important this tournament will be for clubs after long season fighting in national leagues and UEFA cups. But we will see.
Difficult to say something about groups. But we can expect that only clubs from Brazil and Argentina can compete with European clubs.
Yes, the Brazilian teams are definitely kind a of force to be reckoned with base on their performance , we have five teams qualify this tournament from Brazillian league, Flamingo ,Boca Juniors, Fluminense, and Botafago will also do well in the 2025 tournament,  furthermore,  we will have club like inter Miami from USA to challenge any of the European clubs due to the presence of Argentina Lionel Messi. Would be an interesting tournament to watch it's games.

I'm going to watch Botafogo's matches on this tournament, as it's the team I'm fan and as I'm enjoying their current season pretty much. I like the charisma of the team, besides the performance they are displaying. I'm not sure yet if I should be excited about this tournament, because I don't know how strong the another clubs are going to be, but I hope to watch some exciting and thrilling games, like the ones from Brasileirão 2024 and Libertadores da América 2024 involving Botafogo.

For other people who don't have a strong connection with any of the participant clubs, I think this tournament won't be very interesting, though.

When the initial list went live on X, a lot of people had questions about how Chelsea qualified when teams like Liverpool, City and Arsenal were much better last season and didn't make the cut.
Chelsea quilified for 2025 FIFA club world cup as the winner of 2020–21 UEFA champions league.
Note that Manchester city will take part in the tournament too. They qualified as the winner of 2022–23 UEFA champions league.

Can someone share the eligibility requirements / criteria?
UEFA has 12 slots in the tournament.
Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City qualified for the tournament as the winners of the last 4 editions of the champions league and the other teams qualified through their four year ranking.

After seeing Inter Miami, it would have been nice Al Nassr too; maybe we would have had the Messi and Ronaldo comparison to spark up the competition.

I see another competition that Chelsea can win, but hopefully it is not to the detriment of their Premier League season that is good so far, and they look like they will be able to secure a Champions League spot for next season.

I enjoyed this Tournament when my team (Liverpool) competed and won it. Looking forward to doing the same even if we're not participating this time.

The only positive thing about this tournament is that it will be free on TV, globally.
For the tourament its just a marketing money tournament.

Imagine teams that need to play in July and the following season starting 3 weeks later, with players without preparation of holidays.

It will be a such bad for the team involved here.

This is new format of FIFA world cup club and FIFA has decide to held this tournament for every 4 years so it is similar to World Cup but i am not sure this tournament will be effective or not even some or European Clubs has been protest about this tournament because they fear their players will gets the injury because FIFA pushing those players to still playing after long season at their domestic league

If we talking about the group phase certainly strong teams from European would be the favourite in this tournament and indeed the strong contender for European clubs probably Brazilian Clubs or Argentina Clubs however i have seen Inter Miami will be participate so automatically Messi will playing in this tournament and Group A is relatively easy because the strongest opponent on that Group probably Palmeiras

Among the Brazilian teams, the only team that had a bad season is Fluminense, which is fighting to avoid relegation in this year's Brazilian championship. I believe that the rest of the Brazilian teams can have a good Club World Cup. Botafogo (winner of the Libertadores) has even been playing the best football in Brazil.
