I don't think Brazil's fault is underestimating. it's a long and tiring fight. Croatia had its advantage. because previously their mentality was very strong when they won on penalties against Japan. they have good confidence to win in the penalty shootout.

Of course they didn't take it completely lightly, but I think if Brazil didn't give space to Croatia in those last minutes then Brazil should have won the match. But unfortunately Brazil did not really close the space for the Croatian players so that goal was created. Also Alison Becker wasn't really good on penalties either, she couldn't make a save and that didn't help.

The Netherlands vs Argentina is currently 0-2. Argentina are almost safe to win the game after they are 2 goals up, but there are still a few minutes to see how it turns out. Argentina will meet Croatia if they win this match, it will be even greater.

Argentina have made a really good start to the match. They are in the lead by 1-0 thanks to the goal they scored in the first half. Messi is such an amazing player still. His assist to Molina was really fascinating to watch. I don't know how he sees that small gap and manages to make the ball get past through it. He is just the usual Messi.

Netherlands couldn't do much in the first half so I wonder how good their reaction will be in this half. I don't think we are likely to witness another surprising result tonight.

Argentina have broken the deadlock very early so Netherlands will need to take bigger risks. Argentina have great players Messi being in the first place to benefit from those opportunities. A 2-0 score would just end Netherlands' hopes easily.

Indeed, like that, many believe that Brazil is the best team this year. Even in the quarter-finals, it is difficult to score goals, but it's a fact that Brazil was unable to make up for it well against Croatia and it can be said that Croatia's weakness has not faded which continues to fight for the final worthy of the 2018 world cup first.
This surprised many people, especially our fans, maybe they understand how Brazil's game dominates more than Croatia's but all is just that any match can happen even though Croatia doesn't have a myriad of great players but solidly they can win even though it's on penalties.

I was really disappointed with Brazil's performance since the first half. They lack the creativity of the midfielders so Croatia can really improve their game. I didn't see Brazil leading from the first half, but in the second half they managed to put Croatia under pressure. Brazil's failure was because they underestimated Croatia in the last 15 minutes of extra time, of course they should have won after Neymar scored but in the end Croatia had hope after equalizing.

Many people are disappointed with what Brazil went through against Croatia, but this is a game where every team has a chance to win and eliminate other teams even if they are not the favourites. In the previous World Cup Croatia were runners up, will they repeat that at the Qatar World Cup?

this is really a surprising thing because Brazil is the favorite because there are many talented players in their team's squad but it's not enough to get past the solid Croatian team.
in the penalty shootout round there are no more favorites, all teams have the same opportunity.
but what is really regrettable is that Brazil was unable to break through Croatia's defense in 90 minutes of normal time, had hopes of winning the match after Neymar scored a goal in the Extra Time round in the 105th minute but in the 117th minute the goal came for Brazil because of Bruno Petkovic able to score after receiving feedback from Mislav Orsic.

What should be appreciated in this match is Luca Modric, he was able to balance the midfield to make Croatia superior in Ballposition and this senior player was also able to become a leader for Croatia, he has been very influential so far in bringing Croatia to the semifinals.

We all know if it was win or go home type of game, they would have humiliated Cameroon six ways to Sunday.

Each one of Paqueta and Neymar wasted two important chances in the match so far. Livakovic made many saves so far and I agree that he is one of the most impressive players now. We should emphasize the strength of their defense so far as well. Gvardiol and Juranovic have had the most impressive performances in defense. Croatia are already a defense-weighted team and they have just met the expectations until this point. Brazil couldn't play comfortable on the front. If they were able to make use of even one chance then the match was going to be over most probably.

There is a feeling like we are going to penalty shootouts slowly. Brazil actually have more skilled players but Croatia have many experienced players as for critical moments like this at the same time. I still want to believe in Brazil to do this.

Now match is going to come to a point where the match is going to be decided in extra time or penalty shootout. I seriously was expecting this from this quarter final as both team will use defense and attack .
Definitely good job done by goalkeepers as they defend the attacks and strikers with great efficiency.

The attacking combination of Rodrygo and Richarlison seems to be mounting much pressure on the Croatian defense, but the Croatian goalkeeper; Dominik Livakovic is becoming the hero of the day. He had saved a handful of goal scoring chances. The recent one was a close range short from Lucas Paqueta. The Croatian team is using a very potent slow football strategy. The seems to be slowing down the game which have deprived the Brazilian team from playing their fast paced style. Luka Modrić is the engine room of the Croatian team. This old war horse have been tireless and tactically alert in this game. It is glary currently that the match can be won by any side.

I know there are goalkeepers that are really good in normal games and others are good in penalties. I don't know much about the Croatian goalkeeper, but from his performance in this match today, the Croatian team has a better chance of winning if this game goes to penalty shootout. The Brazilian players would weep bitterly if they lose this match because from the quality or rating of teams they got the cheapest quarter final team beside Morocco.
