I agree with you on this. Brazil will miss the presence of Neymar against Croatia if he is not feet to play the game and his impact will be missed because Neymar is a great player and someone whose presence on the pitch will scare the defenders and as a skillful player that he is it will be possible for him to beat any defender who he faces and Brazil will have an easy breakthrough when he is on the pitch.

I don't think it is a good idea for Brazil to reserve Neymar against Croatia with the reason of playing him in the semi-finals rather I will suggest they start him in the game then when Brazil is leading with a goal margin of 2 to 3 goals Neymar can be substituted so that he will have enough rest before they play their next match which is semi-finals unless Brazil is certain that they will defeat Croatia without Neymar.

Neymar's absence will definitely make Brazil weak. But at the same time, I don't think that Neymar is needed against Croatia. Ideally Brazil should reserve Neymar for the semi-final match against Argentina/Netherlands. They should not risk another injury for their star player.
