Oh yes, this year there will be the U-20 World Cup which is planned to be held in Indonesia as the host. However, from the latest news, FIFA canceled Indonesia as the host for several reasons. Not only that, before FIFA canceled Indonesia as the host, there were indeed many rejections for Israel from several community groups to politicians as a form of their support for Palestine. I haven't heard the exact reason why FIFA canceled the U-20 World Cup in Indonesia, maybe it could be related to the rejection of one of the countries that might make the World Cup unsafe, or it also has something to do with the tragedy that happened in Indonesia some time ago.
However, if the reason for the Israeli national team was the reason for them to cancel it, many would say that FIFA has a double standard on this matter. Because in the last World Cup they actually removed Russia from the list of countries that would appear in the World Cup. What do you think?

To be honest, anything that is not the actual World Cup is not that relevant.

I mean, sure, U20 World Cup should exist and all, but no one is watching that.
I see what you mean, maybe you want to say that the U20 World Cup is not much in demand when compared to the Senior Level World Cup. However, when something like this happens (I mean canceling as a host) there will definitely be a fundamental reason, and what is being discussed a lot now is the rejection of one of the national teams competing in the U20 World Cup. Now what I want to emphasize here is what do you think if what is being talked about a lot now is true. Is that FIFA standard uneven or what?

Bummer alert: U-20 World Cup in Indonesia got canceled, leaving young players bummed about missing their chance to shine on the world stage.

We're not sure why it got axed, but safety and security might be the culprits. Plus, think about global sports events and how politics and social justice issues can sneak in. As football lovers, we gotta back these young players chasing their dreams. U-20 World Cup or the big one, these events bring folks together, united by football fever.

Looking ahead, everyone involved in football needs to team up and make sure major sports events are all about fairness, respect, and friendship. That way, we keep the football world a place where young talents can flourish and reach their goals.
True, this will be an arena for young players to show their abilities so that later it is hoped that many clubs will be interested in signing him. I'm talking about the canceled hosts now, Indonesia is on the list because they are the hosts and that's one definite slot. And now if it is canceled it is very likely that they will also be removed from the list of teams that will compete in the World Cup, this will of course be a very big disappointment for the players.
Regarding politics that still enters football, when will football be completely clean from politics?

Messi can always change his opinion. It is also not excluded that the body eventually no longer wants and can no longer. But you can't say that yet. I wonder if he will be present at the 2026 World Cup. In any case, the pressure is no longer there to become world champion, so if he can't participate, he probably won't mind. I'd like to see him in action for a few more years. If he wants to quit the Argentina national team, everyone understands that of course. But Argentina without Messi, then you have little chance of success and in principle virtually no chance of becoming world champion. It's all still a long way off, still 3.5 years before the tournament starts. First, we will have Euro 2024 in 1.5 years.
messi is a legend and so is Ronaldo. Both have their own speciality.
I think apart from the personal decision - there is fate which shapes our destiny - and for muslim Ronaldo is the blessed person to have been landed and admired so much on the holy land.
Although the next World Cup will see the game of the new generation, if we do not see the game of the living legends like Lionel Messi and Ronaldo, then watching the football game will be a pleasure to enjoy, there will be no peace of eyes.

I have enjoyed watching every World Cup in football for the last 30 years or so.
After the 1986 World Cup and Maradona, I thought no one would be able to top it, but then other great football stars came along like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho and later Messi and Ronaldo. It is the natural course of life, some leave, others come. I am sure that at the next World Cup we will see new football stars and enjoy great football again  Grin
Mbappe will surely be a big star at the next few world cups, and I'm sure that Neymar has not yet said his last word in the Brazilian national team.
But if you are a true football fan then you will really miss Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The next World Cup will bring new stars but the living football wizards like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will be nowhere to be found. And you can never equate Neymar and Mbappe with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Of course, who wouldn't want to see them play in the upcoming world cup? The fans will certainly miss them if they are nowhere to be found because they are used to see them. But unfortunately, there is a big chance that both of them might not play anymore because by that time, they are already on their 40s and we know that age is just a number but there's no doubt that a person's performance will really decline once they reach that age.

Messi and CR7 will surely be missed just like the other legends but that is the reality of it, a new era will always come to replace their place and that is inevitable.

The world cup is a very sure game for me and ba lot of gamblers had made quite a huge fortune from it including the host country that make there stadium available as the world cup venue. There are a lot of persons that had been agitating on the location of the next venue for the world cup. For me, allowing two countries to host the world cup is not a good choice for us that are good fan of the world cup games. But we have no say on where the next region would be or choosing the host country.
You not even following up the reason why three countries will be hosting the next world cup, the main reason for this is because in the next tournament more teams will be participating in the competition,  I think this is one of the reasons.  Their might be other reasons  for this new system of hosting world cup in different countries  .

The qualification process for the FIFA 2026 world cup has not been finalized but this is for sure that more teams will be able to fulfill their dreams of playing in the Fifa world cup.

I'm not sure how to respond to this, happy or sad, or appreciate it. 48 contestants, how long will it take for this world cup celebration to be held until the final round. On the other hand, we from Asia have an additional quota of 8 slots to compete in the 2026 World Cup One more slot can be obtained by Asian representatives through the intercontinental playoffs.

Does FIFA plan for more advanced football, or will the matches become more monotonous with low quality participants? without taking the Asian participants for granted, but there will be more small teams than big squads. big clubs will be disadvantaged by the length of time the world cup performances will take place, especially if their star players get injured. and there is no guarantee that by increasing the quota of participants, the development of football will experience many changes, especially in Asia.

I think FIFA is intentionally doing it with 48 teams instead of 32 in order to promote football even more, even in countries which had never a possibility to be in such a huge event like the World Cup and I agree with this policy they are taking for this upcoming World Cup.

I don't think that the games will be monotonous at all,the so called small teams will give not their 100% but their 200% because they want to show what they are made of and we will most probably see a better World Cup than this one we just saw in Qatar just a week ago.

I love world cups, they are those events that allow people from many parts of the world to unite and diversify cultures, I liked this last World Cup held in Qatar a lot, despite the different customs that this country maintains and the controversies that occurred, I managed to create a social impact and in my opinion it was a different experience for both the players and the audience. I hope that the next soccer event in this category breaks all expectations and manages to exceed the previous one, it may be that with the new implementations it will become a bit difficult to meet the level that would be expected, it is the first time that it will be carried out A World Cup with three hosts, I am intrigued as to how this organization will be carried out, and now with the opportunity for more teams to enter, it will be something interesting to see. I also agree that the players will give all of them, in order to show what they are capable of and put their country on top.

In fact, football world cup creates a sensation all over the world. Before the start of the World Cup, all football fans prepare to watch the World Cup and go to the World Cup Stadium. Those who stay in distant countries prepare their home televisions in advance so that no World Cup match is missed. These things are really happy and cheerful.

Mbappe is the best new generation in world football at the moment and I hardly see any other potential attackers who will have big names like Mbappe, there are some that I see are good young strikers, that is Haaland (Norway) and Rafael Leao (Portugal)

but they are from a weak country so their chances of having big names in the 2026 world cup are quite small unless their country makes it to the semifinals of the 2026 world cup later

The level of the World Cup has long lagged behind club football, and in fact we will see interesting games starting from the quarterfinals. Although this bunch of participating countries and a bunch of host countries creates an atmosphere not of a serious competition, but of some kind of carnival. From the point of view of entertainment, it's probably cool - but only if you go there live, but I won't watch most of the games of this tournament even for money.
I think manager issue is the biggest issue there and we need managers who run both club and national team to make that happen again. Because we see managers who only manage national teams, and those guys have like maybe 10-20 games a year at most, whereas club ones have like as much as 60 depending on which teams manager they are.

So national teams do not really pay that well, plus managers don't want to sit at home for 3 months to watch their players in clubs. If we can convince people like pep to manage Spain, or Mourinho to Portugal etc etc, while managing the club as well, that would be a good idea for sure. I think it would bring a lot of success to national teams, and more fun as well.

I think it's a terrible idea - because I've seen it not in theory but in practice. There was a period in my country when the head coach of Spartak was also the head coach of the national team. Naturally most of the players in the national team were from this club even if they were in obviously bad shape. This state of affairs led to tensions with other clubs, and when things were going well for the national team, it could somehow be tolerated, then in bad periods it led to squabbles and scandals.
And in general, in modern conditions, this is a dead idea. No club (which pays coaches tens of millions) will agree to the fact that the coach spends his strength somewhere else in parallel.

They are going to be missed but other than that many young players who emerged in this world cup Mbappe,  Enzo and many more looking forward to their performances.

This is the first time we see three countries hosting the world cup and 48 countries the world cup, we should wait for 2026 to see the result of the decision of FIFA, I know it can decrease the quality of the 2026 world cup so I'm not a fan of the increasing number of the teams but in the same time it will increase the community of the world cup by letting three countries host the world cup and it can have benefits in the other hand.

as mentioned below this will be experiment for the management as well. I am not sure what came to their mind when they decided that three countries will be hosting FIFA world cup - I think they are experimenting new things -first they allowed muslim country to host it now they want three countries to host FIFA cup

This is going to be an experiment for fifa and when a new experiment is done many discrepancies are likely to be emerged . Its going to be a huge success that's for sure becausee  to popularity to football in Europe but how they'll manage games and how fans and teams will move around is a big question  .

Even if beer was banned from stadiums in Qatar what’s the big deal about that, before the World Cup we had some sort of ideas about the religious laws in the Middle East I don’t think it’s right forcing a country out of their own culture.

Regardless of all the critics Qatar raise the standards in World Cup hosting and I am not going to envy the next host of the World Cup because it would be hard to out do Qatar .
I also agree with what you said!
I believe that even before Qatar was chosen for the World Cup, FIFA teams and staff knew that, that country has different cultures, it is a very religious country, and have several strict rules.

Will we have any restrictions during the world cup games in 2026?

Yes and before the recent World Cup happened, the FIFA council made sure that everything they do, they will have a discussion with it or relay it to the organizers to make sure that whatever they are planning to do will not be against to the country's culture and beliefs because FIFA will certainly be under heavy criticisms once a single mistake will slide out. But this time, I bet the World Cup will be much looser because the countries in North America which will host the next WC are pretty much open to almost everything.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar just ended with a bang. The organization of this World Cup has created a great stir all over the world. By doing this, FIFA has been able to match themselves in a great way. Hopefully FIFA will hold the next World Cup in a more extraordinary manner so that football fans are enthralled again.

From what people were watching on TV in the 2022 World cup everything was fantastic and there was no problem they also saw the stadiums with last technologies and even the people who visited Qatar for the world cup enjoyed the hotels and the services they provided there but in fact, many workers died and billion dollar spends for it. I think they let three countries host the world cup to avoid these mistakes because there won't be one country handling the world cup.

I think that's not the reason why the next world cup are going to happen in North America because I believe that even before the Qatar hosted the World Cup, the schedules are already settled like who will host the next WC. It's not that they are going to select it impromptu who will host afterwards because this has a process and it will undergo in some biddings, etc. And in the recent talks, it looks like that the KSA-Greece-Egypt will likely host the 2030 World Cup because I think they already won the bid.
