I predict that in the future we will see world cups with even more participants and that these competitions will be held more often, probably every 2 years.  Grin
FIFA really knows how to get income and every tournament they hold instead of adding tournaments, increasing the number of participants will also be just as profitable and maybe what you think will also be implemented by FIFA because they are not satisfied with every money they get from this tournament, so carry it out every 2 years, but the question is whether 2 years will be enough for countries that have never hosted the World Cup to prepare the supporting infrastructure for holding it because there will definitely be more stadiums that must be provided due to the greater number of participants so only countries who have huge funds that are able to organize it or this will be a tournament held by several countries.

FIFA also needs to have enough as an organization and tournaments like the world cup can be good options for them also since they accepted multiple countries hosting the world cup and there will be more countries in the world cup in 2026, they aim to increase the community of the world cup. Increasing the community will give more income to FIFA and maybe that's the main reason for them to make these decisions for 2026.
I don't want to say much about what FIFA wants to gain by increasing the number of participants in the World Cup, or they make the World Cup in 2 years. There are positive and negative things that will certainly be debated later. No I mean when they base this on the money they're likely to get of course it's going to put a bad image on them. However, there are things to benefit from, in this case the opportunities for countries that have never participated in this biggest football party will have even greater opportunities. Of course all countries want to be part of the World Cup, that's what they dream of.

The next world cup will be having a record 104 matches, compared to 64 during Qatar 2022. BTW, FIFA is expecting a revenue of $11 billion from the tournament, which will be an all time record if realized.

That's a lot of money, this makes me wanna ask how fifa actually makes their money,?
Is it just by selling tickets to those who would want to attend the stadium and view the match live, or are there other ways through which the make their money aside advertisement?

Cus I am of the opinion that if it's just by selling tickets and from advertisers, making 11 billions dollars would be pretty impossible in my point of view, except the tickets are sold at an exorbitant high price which only rich men and women can afford.

I have wondered how they will spend this money since this time, in comparison to another world cup, they will certainly earn much more money because there are more teams participating and more matches in the world cup. I believe FIFA should raise the price for teams, spend some money on food for those countries who need it, as well as build stadiums and schools for those countries.
Fifa is definitely the biggest organisation and football is the most played sport in the world, next world cup is going to be more interesting interms of new teams and new matches.  I hope fifa includes teams from Asia as we have less Asian teams in last world cup .

In fact, as far as I know, for the next World Cup 2026, FIFA has already increased the number of Asian national teams that will participate, if I remember correctly, Asia will have 5 representatives at the next World Cup.
However, as I said earlier in this discussion, I do not think that a larger number of participants in the World Cup will increase the quality of the competition, and in fact I think that we will see more bad and boring matches.
Of course, due to a greater number of matches, FIFA's earnings will increase, and that is obviously the most important thing in the whole story, not some sporting motives or reasons. Considering the enormous organizational and financial demands, fewer and fewer countries in the world will be able to organize a world cup, which is also bad news for all sincere fans.

I agree, this definitely won't increase the quality of the world cup and it can even decrease the quality of the games because there will be more weak teams from Asia or even weak teams from Europa they don't actually deserve to win the world cup normally. It is possible that once the number of teams participating in the world cup is increased, there will be a greater interest in watching the games and a larger community as a result.

It has lots of advantages and disadvantages to expand the number of participants. Relatively, each continent is now more equally represented and that is something I guess we all should like as fairness is what we stand for. But in terms of quality games, you are absolutely right, there will be some horror games that are extremely boring for those who are used to European soccer. But we should not forget that all these countries have their own people cheering for their players. That is more than fair. The thing is that Infantino didn't expand the field for reasons of equality. He did it because he knew that would save him a second term as FIFA president.
How much do we actually think about football? FIFA World Cup 2022 is just over. The next World Cup will probably have to wait another four years. We have already started the discussion about the World Cup, however, we hope that in the next World Cup we will see some new surprises, much more than this World Cup. Hopefully FIFA will give us more great gifts.

Increasing the community will give more income to FIFA and maybe that's the main reason for them to make these decisions for 2026.

The FIFA is actually a registered non-profit organization, but that is where all the issues arise from. They say that they are investing the money back into soccer development around the world, but you can still make shady deals or contractual setups where certain individuals or organizations with close ties to the FIFA eventually profit from. There have been tons of investigation into the expenses and investments that the FIFA makes, but when they say that they invest in the development of soccer, that can almost mean anything. If they funnel money to a company that is supposed to contribute to soccer development, you might get an idea of how the FIFA can use their money in shady ways.

The thing is that FIFA is such a huge organization with massive amounts of money coming in, so it's a really easy place for corruption to take over.

I haven't really looked too much into it, but the possibility is there.
Being a richest sports organization receives big amount and corruption happens easier as the money comes in and out through different sources and for different purposes. Registering as a non profitable organization is to get tax exemption and the same helps in easing out corruption. We hadn't come across big news on this, but it is happening and the match hosting rights issued for Qatar is mentioned as one of the incident. Now the talks were about Saudi Arabia requesting hosting opportunity with a big bags of money.
We expect to see many new young players in the next World Cup. Because every team currently has a lot of old players who are getting old and will not play in the next World Cup. Those places will be taken by young players from each team who are currently playing for different clubs. So hopefully we will see some great tactical play in the next World Cup.

looking fwd for the upcoming FIFA world cup. But this is a new experiment. Hope they will be able to manage well

I have no doubt that this World Cup will be a game changer.
First time that it will be hosted in 3 different countries and will also have a significant amount of participants...
Well... I have no doubts that it will be beneficial for the host country and also for the countries that never had the opportunity to participate in a world cup before.... well, I don't know, I hope that everything goes well with this new structure for this tournament event

For the distribution of ticket results, whether the host team as the organizer gets a share or FIFA monopolizes the ticket results, I think most crazy with 11 billion dollar from ticket but the host national team did not get anything yet. There are not doubt with FIFA how their viewed about money and controversy when adding national team participants in the next FIFA World Cup from 32 become 48 teams.

One thing still can't believing with FIFA how their transparent about money aside advertisement from World Cup,  every World Cup edition have many enthusiastic from companies become part of World Cup partner and spent much money for them how to get name appear when World Cup matches on board advertising, but one difficult thing from FIFA how transparent with how much income from advertising and broadcasting.

BTW, FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed that the FIFA Club World Cup will be expanded to 32 teams, and will be played every 4 years. Currently it is being played in a knockout format, and only 7 teams (one from each confederation + winner of previous edition) takes part. Out of the 32 teams, 12 will be from UEFA. CONCACAF, AFC and CAF has been allotted 4 slots each. CONMEBOL and OFC are left with 6 and 1 slots respectively. Similar to the FIFA World Cup, this tournament can also become a major revenue generator for FIFA.

Here is a hypothetical scenario for FIFA Club World Cup:

Another crazy bullshit from the schizophrenic Infantino. I hope there is someone who has an extra gun ammo to stop him before he does all his "innovations" like the World Cup every two years, net play time, etc.
On paper, such a tournament may look interesting, but in reality it is just another rubbish, since the clubs in the current conditions no longer have time to participate in all competitions, and with such a tournament the season will be completely broken.

The year part is the worst part there, because right now there is this thing about winning 6 cups in a season and even with every year that's a bit of a trouble, hard to get. If they do it once every 4 years that would eb even harder to do and most teams won't be able to do it and that will stay as 2 thing and will not happen again and that will be an issue, doubt that it will happen again.

I am sure that they will see how much money to be made from it and maybe reconsider it because if they do 32 teams and every year during the summer or something or during some other time, they will be able to get a lot of teams and players and also make a lot of money.

I agree that the new format of both competitions, with more clubs and national teams, will bring more matches and more income for FIFA, but I think that the quality of both competitions will decrease and that we will see more bad and boring matches with no result significance.
However, football has long since become just a business, and the sports side has been completely neglected, and this is a trend that has been going on for the last 30 years, unfortunately.
