The World Cup in Qatar was the most expensive tournament ever. As Qatar is an Islamic state, there are some religious customs that the visitors have to follow, but that was not a problem for the World Cup visitors. The steps taken by Qatar in hosting the Football World Cup were really great. People from all over the world now know Qatar well and have some idea about their culture. All in all, the World Cup in Qatar was definitely enjoyable.

Qatar will keep getting the benefit of hosting the world cup for many years and more investors and tourists even immigrants will keep increasing and it will be more than they have ever recorded in previous years. Hosting the World Cup is like another type of investment generally with all they spent to make it a reality they will make much more within future years

The World Cup in Qatar was the most expensive tournament ever. As Qatar is an Islamic state, there are some religious customs that the visitors have to follow, but that was not a problem for the World Cup visitors. The steps taken by Qatar in hosting the Football World Cup were really great. People from all over the world now know Qatar well and have some idea about their culture. All in all, the World Cup in Qatar was definitely enjoyable.

Life is colourful and have to spent on the thing which are predictive - wine and beer are no use seriously.

The Qatari authorities have been able to organize this World Cup very well.

Because it is alleged they were not able to completely build the place where people were supposed to stay, also they had a deal with an important brand of beer and the government of Qatar cancelled the distribution of Beer in the last second, probably with a negative effect to that brand.

Keeping those things in mind I am almost certain the next world cup will be definitely better organized, more enjoyable and free.

But I'll add something I haven't said yet, I prefer the World cup with 32 teams every 2 years hehehe, instead of 4 years. It's a lot of time to wait until the next one.

I believe Argentina will have a big problem to make another team without Messi, obviously, but the coach and confederation will probably talk with Messi to make their plans to 2026, where they can plan to build the team with or without Messi.

The Argentina team will have to prepare the team without Messi and Di Maria for the next World Cup. Because the chances of both of them playing in the next World Cup are very low.

I agree with you.
Groups of only 3 teams could lead to a lot of manipulation and fixing of results, and the quality of the game and the uncertainty of the competition will decrease.
As for Argentina, it seems to me that Messi has stated that if Argentina becomes world champion, he will play in the next world cup as well.
Whether Messi and Ángel di María play in the next World Cup or not, Argentina is a very good team and will be competitive for the title again in the next World Cup.
Of course, if they play without Messi, it will be much more difficult to repeat the result from Qatar.
Tradition speaks against Argentina because the last team to defend the title of world champion was Brazil back in 1962.

Well.. we need to define what "grand" means. Obviously the North American countries are not going to spend $290 billion similar to the way Qatar did. Also, Canada and United States are some of the top migrant destinations in the world and they don't need to showoff their wealth, and neither do they have hundreds of billions of USD worth funds coming in every year from LNG and crude oil sales. At this point, I am more concerned about the visa requirements. In the US, they have a very strange system where it is relatively easy to enter as an illegal immigrant, while legal migrants wait for many years to get a visa hearing.

But the qualifier matches will be starting sometime soon, and especially with confederations such as CAF and AFC, there are multiple layers of qualifying tournaments. Therefore I don't find anything wrong with this thread being created at this point. Also, the tournament format is not finalized yet. We can discuss about the qualifiers and format until the tournament starts. Also, construction hasn't been completed for all the venues.

The involvement of three countries to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup might make it a grand one. However, what Qatar had made in this world cup push them to do better. Qatar have done the best of its ability that none thought about. The oil money and the proper planning help them achieve it and the government worked on it for years.

There will be 10 matches in Canada and 10 in Mexico, I believe the logistics will be optimized.
The United States is a country of continental dimensions, but the infrastructure is very good, and the games can be divided up by region, making it closer for the countries to travel.
Remembering also that there will be 48 countries in total, so a large country can be advantageous.

I don't believe that Fifa will put, for example, first round matches in cities far away from each other in the United States.

The thinking for the 2026 World Cup has already begun. The World Cup will be really great as it will probably be held in 3 countries. Those countries will want to organize better than Qatar.

So organising World cup requires alot of financial stability and developing countries who are already struggling economically can't afford this burden. I think FIFA decision is a sensible one as total burden will not go on one country plus all revenues will not go to one.

With the wealth that Qatar has, it's not a number that will be problematic for their economy.
And in my opinion, one of the reasons why the next World Cup will be held by 3 countries is because considering that there will be more teams that will play than the previous World Cup, which was only 32 and increased by 16 to 48, this addition is a significant number for one country to organize it will be very crowded, plus the number of spectators will increase because there are 16 additional countries that will also try to watch the match live

Not sure about the planning and management but group stages will be held in different countries and super sixteen but after that quarter finals and semi finals will be in one country . This will definitely control alot of cost and burden on one country and different countries will get the credit of hosting world cup . A very good initiative by fifa.
