i am sorry for saying this words.
i think i can't make FFC wallet because of the response of exchanges.
they wouldn't update wallet though we make new wallet.
i am not the original developer so can't make them act for us.
do anyone know their policy about wallet update?

i have listened some ideas from board and email.
so i concluded like this.
1. introduce KGW algorithm to stabilize mining.
2. introduce halving time to promote FFC price.
3. link block explorer
4. make stable seed of nodes for network stability.

i will make this till about 1 Dec.
if anyone has other ideas, mail me anytime~~~

new features ... NOPE this is a classic old school (ha 2 years ago) SHA ... it just needs the bolts to be tightened and a little bit of oil cannin.

danny's list is good ...

"2. introduce halving time" say something a simple as quickly cycling thru 3-6 halving cylces then go back to orginal half schedule.  This algo was conceptualized on btc time table ... slow ... the distributions can be adjusted to bring FFC in line with the current market support while leaving enough coins still mineable to produce for 50 years.  Again we speed it up the reduction rate not the block speed thus the surplus coins are not produced ... but rather can be pushed into the future say after 2018.

4. Nodes Nodes Nodes Nodes
5.  repost the the SOURCE on different websites / drops ... just incase factor backup the backup and then back thatup

I traded this coin at cryptsy and got burned, is there any new feature concerning the coin? I asked because i still have some with cryptsy.

So will cryptsy get their act together and open the ffc wallet now? Maybe the op will set them straight.

There is an close relationship between block reward, difficulty = time between block (on average) and the profitability of the coin to mine, given an exchange rate.
Shorter block times produce a lot of forking in the chain, thus orphans.
I would say keep it back to 2 or 3 minutes target block time.
Also, make the reward proportional to the difficulty. If difficulty is low relative to a recent hash spike, reduce the reward in proportion to that, so you don't flood the market with relatively unvalued coins.
KGW was known to have a time-warp exploit. Be careful what variant of these type algorithm you implement.

i agree with you.
i saw some coins have had network fork problems like jackpotcoin. its faster than FFC.
but fast confirmation has many profits too.
we can send and get FFC within ten minutes now. its much faster than bitcoin.
so i think its better not to change the block time for now.
..and i wish we could try POS but it seems to be so hard because of block version.
i think the alternatives.
for examples making FFshare like bitshare. and exchange them equally 1:1 automatically.

i am worrying about future action of cryptsy.
they seem to be doing something.
i think we need to reduce the production of coins which has no having time now to promote fireflycoin and make connection stabler and so on.
we need new homepage and block explorer too.
i am making some of them now.

let me know if you have a press release or article that you would like me to publish

The beautiful of the coin is the reward. I see that in all exchanges the peoples want to buy the coins for 1-6 Satoshi. when I mine a block for many coins I will sell this coins for more Satoshi - 120 * 5=600 Sat. This reward keeps the coin. I can try to mine with my old Blades (2x10Gh/s) and to solve some block as solomine, this is not possible with any other coin. i think that for coin which can produce block for every one minute is perfect. Almost perfect. Must look for e-hops where I can buy anything with FFC (no btc/ltc).

go little bug go ... keep on flashing

if HARDfork
1. keep sha-256

2. reducing reward ... not a problem in my opinion ... just do a halving reduction for say the next 180days take it down 12 notches a notch every 2 weeks  ... then go to a long flat rate of mine production  ... FFC is cool because it just mines on forever ... it will take years to get to money base stability at the current speed ... but don't alter the forever mining concept.

3.  maybe plan on a reward increase (way down the road) to maintain flat 0.5% growth (example) ... I want to mine this coin in 30years hapefully more too.

4.  gravity well, heart bleed, whatever is the latest clean updates.

5. api stuff / blockchain / maybe text in the chain? (FLO)

i agree with you.
kimoto's gravity well is good option.
mining is so unstable now.
and we can't change hashing algorithm. it needs too much cost.
but if we want newer chain algorithm, we need to change the whole block, or the chain may be unstable.
that means a new coin.

The BlockExplorer is almost ready, but I want to make some checks for true information in it. I checked some blocks which I am sure that I have mined coins, I see my address only if seek it via address, but when I open the block all address looks like btc address (beginning with 1 instead F). Can Anybody to help with the checking of FFC in the BLKXPLR at http://mobiblocks.cointech.net/ ?!

The pool http://firefly.cointech.net is linked to the explorer, so all miners can check their info via the pool's links.

Best Regards,
Rossen

Got a server error when I tried to look at your site.  I'd guess your address version/magic is incorrect.  When I played with ABE and firefly, I used the values below.  I never actually verified the chain. So be sure to verify the values.

Code:
    datadir += [{
      "dirname" : "/home/***/.fireflycoin",
      "chain": "fireflycoin",
      "conf": "fireflycoin.conf",
      "code3": "FFC",
      "address_version": "u0024",
      "magic": "u0004u0004u00b5u0004"
    }]

class FireFlyCoin(Sha256Chain):
    def __init__(chain, **kwargs):
        chain.name = 'FireFlyCoin'
        chain.code3 = 'FFC'
        chain.address_version = '\x24'
        chain.script_addr_vers = '\x05'
        chain.magic = '\x04\x04\xb5\x04'
        Sha256Chain.__init__(chain, **kwargs)

when try to load abe first time you see the internal server error, but after few tries you will see it. I wait for new servers and will separate the pools and Abe.
