Now let's see if I can become the second 2020 newbie to hit 1000 merits  Wink

Status log: OK that only took, what, a total of 14 months? Shame that I didn't make it in time during 2020  Tongue

I'm registered in 2019 but since it was at the very end of the year I tend to consider myself a 2020-era user.

Didn't really want to make another self-congratulatory thread that's going to be filled with sig spam anyway so this'll have to suffice  Smiley I hope you're OK with the necrobump OP, my guess is that you're cool about it.

That's....incredible.  I don't know who else has a stat like that, but the only member I can think of off the top of my head would be nullius when he was active.  I wish I could read German so I could take a look at what you wrote in the German board.

Thank's a lot! I am actually really lucky to have such an active board with many helpful and fair users. You might want to try to use a translator, but since German is pretty difficult at least Google Translate often translates absolute nonsense.  Cheesy

I am currently working on more English translations for the International boards, so everyone will be able to read it.

Anyway, congrats on getting all that merit.  It looks like you're doing a pretty good job of spreading the sMerits you've earned around as well, so props to you for not being stingy.

There are so many users around here, who write excellent posts. That's why I usually spend all my sendable merits as soon as I get new ones. If I am out of merit, I am currently saving the links to the best posts in a Microsoft Word document to merit these posts at a later point.  Smiley

So, to break my record, I will have to speed up. I earned the second thousand in 6 months and 2 days.

Or to put it simply, you must earn a minimum of +166 merits every month.  Smiley Good Luck. Wink

Uff...let's see how it goes! I will try my best!  Cool

As your username it also a bullish on your merit history I wonder if you you're still okay on that if year 2021 comes, lol  Grin Just want to congratulate on your milestone.

Haha, I was hoping that my forum-username would trigger a massive bullrun..., but let's see - there are still a few month to go... and if there isn't a bullrun this year, it looks like I need a new account in 2021...  Cheesy

Thanks to everyone else (@Bitcoin577, @cryptomaniac_xxx, @UmerIdrees, @FIFA worldcup, @Raflesia, @Upgrade00, @mole0815, @Findingnemo & @ Pffrt) for your kind words! I really appreciate it!

According to my data, @bullrun2020bro is the sixth quickest to reach 1k earned merits (259 days since account creation in his case), although the shortest period of time to gain 1k merits was 245 days (2020-01-24 .. 2020-09-24) – 20th fastest 1k earned interval.

Thanks for sharing your stats @DdmrDdmr. The sixth quickest to reach 1000 merit... only beaten by theymos, satoshi, LoyceV, DdmrDdmr & Ratimov... sounds damn good to me. Or what do you guys think?  Cool

2 forum newcomers with relatively recent registration showed the same result. That's interesting.  Smiley

Well, now it's up to the next record-breaking beginners, if he breaks the record in 259 days, he will break both mine and bullrun2020bro.

Haha, that was a close race my friend! But don't worry, I'll do my best to beat you at the 2000 merit mark.  Wink
This is not easy task for any one you done great job as now you are example for many other newbies like me we have to follow these good things for reaching this milestone and need some good community back up as well because without this its not possible to achieve targets like this great work and many congratulations for this all.

Congrats buddy, we are in the same campaign, and I see your name pop up after every week to get the weekly bonuses.  Smiley. I'm still a long way to go, started the campaign as member (both of us), and now I'm just a few merits to Senior member status. So you are one of my inspirations to at least finished the year as Senior or Hero status.  Smiley

I find it much harder to get merit in the local forum because there is less activity.

Well, that certainly depends on what local board you are talking about.
There are some locals where there are lack of merit sources or lack of activity. But in local where there is a good activity and some merit source, it is a good place to get merit.

My local board, portuguese, lacks activity... I am the merit source there, and there are very few new posts per day to merit...

Same is the case with our local board Pakistan where there is not only lack of activity but also there is no local merit source who can read local language and give merits on good posts. However i will take this learning to my local board and will share with them that we should support each other.

This is very impressive that many bullrun2020bro people have achieved considerable merit to move up the ranks and have been waiting for Hero Member => Legendary Grin less than a year is something that can motivate a lot of people especially in contributing to this forum you are very active in those threads that means you have done your best in this forum. I say congratulations and this is really amazing.

Ratimov, zasad@ Rikafip and bullrun2020bro are the people I observe in posting even I want to be like him.
I should be able to.  Grin lol

Congratulations on your achievement on the forum and the near record breaking time it took you to get there. I can't read most of your posts, but the ones which I can were quite impressive and educative.
A self made (potential) legendary member in less than a year is quite commendable and a testament of how the merit system works and how, with enough effort anyone can climb up the rank rungs to the top.

Most of your merits are in your local, german.
Ah, I was wondering why I didn't recognize OP's username--especially since he's earned over 1000 merits in less than a year.  That just goes to show you how important it is to have merit sources on the local boards.

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. MTwain
<…> We are waiting for the DdmrDdmr data dump to see your result in the background.
Are you referring to the data in the first 4 tables of this thread?: Nº días necesarios para llegar a 1K, 2K, 3K y 4K méritos (in Spanish, but the tables are easy to interpret).

I’ve just updated all the tables on that thread:

- The first posts display the amount of time an account took to reach 1k and/or 2k and or 3k and or 4k earned merits. Here I’m considering as a starting point the most recent date between the date of the Merit System kick-off, and the date the account was created (not first merited on).

- Subsequent tables on posts number 8 and 9 display the shortest time interval than an account took to reach 1k and/or 2k and or 3k and or 4k earned merits, from any point in time.

In both cases, I’m counting the number of distinct days needed (disregarding the time). I readjusted the content of the first 4 posts accordingly, in relation to prior calculus updates, so as to be aligned to the remaining tables (+1 day).

According to my data, @bullrun2020bro is the sixth quickest to reach 1k earned merits (259 days since account creation in his case), although the shortest period of time to gain 1k merits was 245 days (2020-01-24 .. 2020-09-24) – 20th fastest 1k earned interval.

Hey bro!

Nice thread and if you have reached this milestone in record time you can celebrate it.
The performance and motivation you show here every day is quite impressive. I know how much work is behind it and you you are leading the ranking that Lakai01 regularly creates for us since a long time and you are undisputedly on the 1st place.

Keep up the good work, stay a helpful user for the bitcointalk community and especially for the DACH area and keep going towards 2000!

Have a nice weekend and ciao Cool

Cool achievement. I didn't even notice you getting merit such faster, I thought Rikafip, Ratimov and zasad to be the recent fastest merit earner. Great job, anyway. Keep up.

I find it much harder to get merit in the local forum because there is less activity.

My local board, portuguese, lacks activity... I am the merit source there, and there are very few new posts per day to merit...
And when it comes to my local, wait, I mean my local thread (no board for Bengali yet), there's a few activities lately but no merit sources yet. In fact, there was very few people sharing merit in that thread until BitcoinDream quoted a few post in his merit source aapplication.

This is the problem. If you write good posts in your local forum, then most of the merit you will get from merit sources.
And other participants will not be able to give you merit, because they do not have it or very little.
For a good publication in the local forum, you can get 10-20 merit, and for a useful publication in the main section, the reward is higher.
Therefore, I find that earning merit in a local forum is much more difficult.

I hope I understood correctly that you are not a new person in the world of cryptocurrencies? I will be waiting for your interview.

Thanks a lot for your request. I am happy to post the answers to your questions in your thread within the next few weeks.

I understand how much effort you put into getting that much merit. Keep moving in the same direction and overtake Ratimov Grin

Haha no way! Ratimov earns his merit faster than one can spell the word Bitcoin. There is no chance to beat him!  Wink

Luckily the German board is very active and a great place to receive merit. If you put some time into your posts most users will be happy to reward you. Especially our merit sources are doing an outstanding job.

Congratulations OP. You can see your merit stats here. https://bitcoindata.science/supertable.html

Thanks a lot for sharing these statistics. I will look into them of course!  Smiley
