Hats off to you. It's rare to see new people earning hundreds of merit so quickly, most of us stagnate a few months in.

Now let's see if I can become the second 2020 newbie to hit 1000 merits  Wink

Congratulations OP.

That is certainly an impressive mark. 1000 merits and 280 activity!!  Shocked

Most of your merits are in your local, german.

You can see your merit stats here. https://bitcoindata.science/supertable.html

sadly i don't update this very often and it is about a month old now. but you can see where you got most of yours merits. At least 85% in local.

That’s pretty special, OP. Congrats on what is really a great achievement here, it’s not easy to get respect here as a newbie so getting 1000 Merit in under 12 months, starting from 0 is very impressive.

You’ve reached the required Merit level to become a Legendary Member before you’ve even become a Hero Member Grin

Great work, keep it up. I have a bunch of Merit to distribute so + 5 for the achievement Smiley

Hey Bitcointalk community,

yesterday was a special day for me since I received my 1000th merit. This makes me the first user (newbie) who registered in 2020 to reach this milestone.

My Bitcointalk history:

I registered here on Bitcointalk on January 9th, 2020 and on September 23th, 2020 I received my 1000th merit.

Average Merit per day: 3.9~ Merit

Month with most Merit: May 2020 (156); March 2020 (144); August 2020 (143)

Why am I starting this thread?

First of all I would like to thank everyone, who supported me on my journey here on Bitcointalk. I know there are many "newbies" out there who are trying to cheat the merit system and try to gain a few merit just to enter well-paid signature campaigns - that's why I am very thankful to everyone who gave me a fair chance to prove myself and show that I am not a shitposter.

Nevertheless the main reason why I am starting this thread is that I would like to encourage other newbies to write quality posts and contribute something meaningful to our community. Writing meaningful posts might feel difficult at the beginning, but if you are willing to invest some of your free time, I am sure you can do it too - and believe me other members will reward you sooner or later, if you are writing good posts.

I remember when I saw Ratimov's thread First Newbie of 2019 who received 1000 merits !!! here in the Meta-Section at the beginning of the year and I replied the following:

Wow congratulations, that's very impressive. Just 7 month for 1K Merits, sounds damn fast. Especially your last 4 months are outstanding. Almost 200 Merits every month. You must be delivering brilliant content. Keep up the good work, the forum needs more people like you!  Smiley

Ah btw, your success is a nice incentive to achieve my Merit goals too, but I still got a long way to go.  Wink

His thread indeed was an incentive for me to work on my post quality and it really encouraged me to write quality posts. That's why I really hope this thread will help some other newbies to reach their goals and to create high quality content. Ratimov and I did it - you can do it too!

I am very happy to be part of this awesome community. Thank you guys!
