Did they include information on what currencies are accepted for payment?
I went throught the tweet OP shared and the guy behind that Bitcoin bar confirmed that its of course possible to pay with BTC, LN included whihc is good option to have in the times like these when fees are high.
Of course, it uses LN Bitcoin payments, and it is the best option for time efficiency and cheap costs.
He also embedded a payment video using a DIY ATM Sats machine that will convert Fiat Coins to BTC quickly.

It is remarkable when Bitcoin is allowed for real transactions.
In my country, this kind of payment is illegal and violates payment laws.

Most of the bitcoin users have the mind to have a business with bitcoin theme, but very few go for it whereas the majority don't execute plans for different reasons. Most common reason being the fear, because very few countries have regulated the usage whereas the majority hadn't announced anything official. This means there'll be fear, as the  government might take action against them.

Often we were able to similar businesses popping out around different parts of the world. Most common business seen around with bitcoin themes were the cafe, food chain and bar. This is good, because it is the common place where people often have their meetups.

Look the beautiful stuffs people around the would are doing and building with Bitcoin, this bar definitely will be the first place I visit if i ever get the chance of traveling to Bulgaria, and I am actually motivated to build something like this in my area here in Nigeria when I make enough money to finance it.

Do we have forum users from sofia, Bulgaria here with us on the forum? Check this bar out.
And to the general forum users, isn't this a good business idea?
Great news from Bulgaria. The excitement in the faces of the people in the picture is encouraging. This will help in spreading the news of Bitcoin in that city. Many people see Bitcoin only as an investment but this bar will expose people to the fact that Bitcoin can be used to pay for goods and services.

Before you start such business in Nigeria you should ensure that there are customers who are willing to pay with Bitcoin. Nigeria has a large number of crypto users but these citizens mostly use it as investment and hedge against inflation. Many people don't use Bitcoin as a payment option in most developing nations. I just hope the transaction fees of Bitcoin will reduced soon so that people will be able to use it for payments. But using the lightning Network will also be a good option to make transaction fees affordable.

A few days ago we had a discussion about wearing clothes with the BTC logo and I think most people think it's a bad idea, and all those who think so would probably think twice before entering such a bar.
Yeah that's another thing I don't understand, people wanting to wear tshirts with bitcoin logo (I do have as I got it from my good irl friend, but I am only wearing it around the house)but by far the worse thing is having crypto themed licence plate. No better invite for a $5 wrench attack than that.

I was asking if it was solely Bitcoin or fiat payments were also accepted, and if any other crypto was accepted, I didn't see any information on that in the thread.
I doubt that you can open up a business and not accept the official currency, which in Bulgaria is Bulgarian Lev so that must be accepted too.

Sure I naturally assumed this, it will only make sense for a Bitcoin themed business to accept Bitcoin, lightening network is a plus. I was asking if it was solely Bitcoin or fiat payments were also accepted, and if any other crypto was accepted, I didn't see any information on that in the thread.

The concerns about a physical attack on customers are valid, but should not be used to deter businesses which wants to adopt Bitcoin. Indirectly potential customers will read the comments and refrain from patronizing such businesses, but still visit other luxury shops that suggest wealth with no reservations.

I wish they picked a different theme. These people are making themselves a target. I mean it is cool to have some “btc accepted” signs here and there but making the place a crypto bar? Especially when the lawmakers are going hard on crypto, that’s not a good move financially. The police won’t like it too. They’ll keep an extra eye on that place and that’ll spook the visitors. Can they even accept btc legally as a payment method in Bulgaria? If so, than at least it wasn’t for nothing completely.

The sign looks stunning even as a decorative piece, I am glad the icon of BTC is made that way. And no I am not from Bulgaria, And isn't crypto banned in Nigeria, because a member was sharing his story that he was stopped by the Nigerian police and was brutally forced to send them money even given death threats. (hmm isn't that member was you).

But I hope you will one day have enough money to start a restaurant, not a bar because I don't like bars, A restaurant is a better place, and I hope crypto will become legal in your country and in mine too. So we both could contribute to our local communities in terms of guiding them about BTC and blockchain technology.

These type of things do happen here and there in the world, there was a coffee shop somewhere too, and there was another bar at somewhere, I think it was Ireland, so it is not like this is the first one that happened and the "theme" type of places are quite common in the world.

I do not think that it would be all that profitable for the owners, don't get me wrong at the start everyone will want to go visit it at least once, but for a bar to run smoothly, you need some sort of regulars that keep coming in and drinking, and when you just have people who visit once and then leave, that's going to end up being a lot more important. I think that's going to end up being something that will matter a ton more and should be risky business.

It must be a good way to promote Bitcoin in Bulgaria to a wider audience who hasn't been in direct contact with Bitcoin yet due to not having the opportunity or the right encouragement to do so. Also, this pub will be a friendly place for Bitcoin enthusiasts to meet each other, to make new friendships and talk about cryptocurrencies. Hopefully it's going to be a success in Bulgaria, although to have a Bitcoin brand isn't enough, neither a guarantee of anything. Tasty food, quality drinks and a nice clean environment are a must and will be the decisive factor for customers when deciding where to have some good time.

I'm not from Bulgaria, but definitely, this kind of business is good for Bitcoin. Maybe they can held monthly or even weekly meeting there and talk about what else their favorite subject, BTC.

And they you have the chance to meet different people, know them by faces as we all know that maybe some of their chooses to remain anonymous.

Although it might be a haven for some cyber criminals to target Bitcoin enthusiast and committed what we call a 5 dollar wrench attack. So everyone should be very very careful as the statistics are growing with that kind of crimes, just saying.

This adds up another hype for bitcoin in that place since they would provably get curious to know about what bitcoin  really is. Also this will add up more sales to the owner since provably all of bitcoin user in that country will try to visit on his business and join the hype of people who's been amazed on the concept of the first bitcoin bar in Bulgaria.

For that settings you can possibly meet a lot of bitcoin users and who knows by hanging out with people there people will get to know a bitcoin investor or businessman will get an interest to work with them or hired to since this could possibly add some spice on their career.

But also I'm concern about the security so hopefully they can make sure that this place is safe since as we know bitcoin is money and criminals have a hot eye on what they think beneficial to them.

While I like the motif and design of the business since we're all good for Bitcoin. But for me personally, I wouldn't go there. Someone who comes there might give the bad people the idea that you are truly into Bitcoin.

Well, I am paranoid? Maybe.

But I want to make myself safe from others assumption because attacks are happening everywhere and the known wrench attacks.
I will not join it too. Those places and events are for people who love parties and want to be famous. I am not that kind of person and I know about risk of being attacked physically.

Known Physical Bitcoin Attacks.

They love what they are doing and they actually make contributions for Bitcoin adoption. We can not stop them and if anything we can do, just a reminder for them about risk of physical Bitcoin attacks. Then we have to let they do what they want. Bitcoin bless them.
While there can be people that are not into Bitcoin that shall go there and be part of the party. Someone can also play out that they know nothing about Bitcoin and just jam there.

But even with that, I'll not go there.

And about the concept, we're not discrediting them but we just wanna choose what we think is safe for us.

I'm not sure if this is fine, but compared to the one discussion about wearing a Bitcoin shirt in public, everyone might think twice before they go in this kind of place. Wearing a t-shirt with the Bitcoin logo can attract attention from some people who know about it and thinking you have much money as you hold Bitcoin. What more if it's like this, a bar, all about alcohol. This kind of business does not attract only the few people who are curious about Bitcoin, but also those people who are interested in the Bitcoin you are holding.

Partying all night and drinking alcohol, the risk is too high. Anyone who goes in this kind of place will only be putting their life in danger. It seems like you're asking for the bad guys to be their victims.
Why think about the negative part, yes there could be a risk but I'm sure the facility is safe of course the building or the bar cannot operate thy don't comply to business rules and customers security is one of them, but out side yes its a different story, but the thing is if you are a responsible owner or holder of a bitcoin or have a huge amount of bitcoin holdings of course you will not be a target if you will not give an information, the most effective way to keep out of the radar is keep lowkey, doesn't mean you attend to a bar dedicated to bitcoin means you have a bitcoin holdings or enough to be a targer by those malicious intent, anyway be happy because this kind of entertainment is being build it will help to spread bitcoin even more, more establishement being build dedicated or themed by bitcoin  could help to even more bitcoin investors.

OP, I understand that you want to share your excitement with everyone else, but was it really necessary to put up so many pictures - and if you can't do without it, you could at least reduce them a bit so that all those browsing the forum with slow connections or on smartphones don't have to wait for your post to load...

I can't say how good a business idea such a bar is, but I can agree with @Rikafip that it's not a good idea when it comes to the privacy of anyone visiting such places. A few days ago we had a discussion about wearing clothes with the BTC logo and I think most people think it's a bad idea, and all those who think so would probably think twice before entering such a bar.

Something similar, only in the UK -> Satoshi’s Place, U.K. Bury, Greater Manchester

If I'm not mistaken, this is not the first time what we hear a Bitcoin bar, I think we might heard similar bars around Europe already. The good thing about this kind of setup is that it can be a good place to held meetings and maybe we can follow it up from here, in our community as to who's who in Bulgaria as far as crypto and bitcoin goes.

But as others have said, just be careful of those criminals and just look back when you are about to go out and get into your car as someone might follow you at home and physically attack you.

I think this is a unique thing and I see the people in the picture really like Bitcoin, this is a good topic, and in this forum I think it's rare for people to make topics like this.
in a bar there is a view of bitcoin, in my opinion it is a beautiful view and at the same time it will remind of the fluctuating price of btc. and always provides benefits for those who invest in it, and is always detrimental for people who are not wise and have no knowledge in investing in BTC.

I think it's a great idea to have a bitcoin view in a bar like in Bulgaria, and perhaps having a btc scene in a bar will make bitcoin better known throughout the world.

But of course building a bar with a view of BTC become has its positive and negative sides, and it is feared that there are bad people monitoring the place because they think that the bar's visitors have a lot of Bitcoin. But the positive side is that many people who were not familiar with BTC can to know about Bitcoin after visiting the bar.

Woohoo, it's kinda cool, very cool to see business accept bitcoin. I agree of the opinion that accepting Bitcoin payment in open business place and public service  brings  recognition for bitcoin. Some customers will have the perception to buy Bitcoin because they see that the Bar uses it. to sum up, it will be nice if this bar also decides to pay their workers in Bitcoin.

This type of business actually looks great for bitcoin. Not only it will boost the interest of people to try out Bitcoin, but it will also make more people motivated to get knowing bitcoin. The bar looks classy and the theme itself looks very promising that every customer that gets in will be attracted to the bitcoin representation. I have also my dream building bar with bitcoin, but I think it will be hard to realized because our country itself does not support Bitcoin.

Kudos to another bitcoin achievement. This will not be the first and last, but surely there will be more bars like this that will pay tribute to bitcoin. Rooting for that.

My thought exactly when I saw this. I mean it looks cool and everything, kudos for the effort but by visiting it you are putting yourself to unecessary risk via $5 wrench attack.
Yeah, today is different time where people that have empty stomachs will do everything for themselves just to get fed.

And those people that have got an idea on what these Bitcoins are for and what these are up to, sure gonna give them the thought of things that they shouldn't do.
