Does it mean that it was the first Bitcoin that ever been mined? And btw, who is the owner of the wallet now?

satoshi nakamoto obviously. though the coins from that transaction are not spendable.
So essentially that means those coins are lost and not part of the 21 million in circulation. There are a lot of coins that are in the ether that are not part of the whole amount of bitcoins in existence.

Those bitcoins belonging to Satoshi Nakamot are still part of the 21 million. In case that those are spent in full, it will create a huge effect on Bitcoin.

I'm not exactly sure if you are asking my first Bitcoin or who's the first person accept Bitcoins?
but if asking mine well i was got it from the faucets and giveaways.. Smiley

Yeah! Like most fans of Bitcoin.
I also started from the gathering Satoshi from faucets, while another could normally earn on them.

As for the topic, as far as I know first Bitcoin transaction took place on January 2009. Satoshi moved another 100 BTC cypherpunk and cryptography named Hal Finney https://blockchain.info/tx/4a5e1e4baab89f3a32518a88c31bc87f618f76673e2cc77ab2127b7afdeda33b

People are actually sending bitcoin to that address now also which i think is basically burning them, they will never be used them coins.  i doubt if satoshi would still even have the private keys...... well its satoshi, so he probably does.... Cheesy

How do you know how much has been sent to that address? Kind of like a tribute to Satoshi?

You can see the address https://blockchain.info/address/1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa and that is how you know how much is sent to an address, like the most recent one was sent on 2016-03-31 and no, I don't think its paying tribute to anyone, more like throwing money away for no reason, it'd be better if they donate this to me ..err to a charity instead of this.  Cheesy

why are some of the transactions show a red line in from of them saying "Unable to decode output address"?
what are those addresses?

From the above transaction link, the address comes out to be 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa.
So now you can view the address balance easily here : https://blockchain.info/address/1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa

Yea, it's the Genesis Coins .... No inputs, just a output.  Huh The first time coins went from one person to another, were between Hal Finney and Satoshi. I can just image the excitement, when they did that

first transaction and it worked. I sometimes wonder if Satoshi and Hal recognised the potential of the technology with the generation of these first coins or if it was still just an experiment to them. I think most

people thought it was a novel idea, but it will end up as a fad or geek money... and it will never go mainstream.  Roll Eyes

Very cool, thanks for sharing.  Completely fascinated by early early Bitcoin and Satoshi's vision and intentions.
