The first time I bought Bitcoin was an excited discussion with my friends all night and I bought the first one carefully. Because my friend has already made money in cryptocurrency, I still trust him and talk to him about my thoughts. I was actually very excited after the purchase, and kept paying attention to the price of Bitcoin, hoping to make it rise even higher.

I'm not sure when I first bought bitcoins. but I know bitcoin only because I saw ads in articles about bitcoin and how to get it.
first time i get bitcoin from free faucet on some platform. At first I didn't believe that it really pays and finally I tried to withdraw bitcoins from the faucet platform and it was successful and I had a small amount.
and i tried to read more about bitcoin and i finally decided to buy from a market.
I tried to buy for about $60 and at that time I felt as normal as just buying gold from a shop. but after bitcoin pumped up the price I was so happy that I once sold my motorcycle to buy more bitcoin in large quantities. and after i have held bitcoin for a few years the price is pumping again and i am very very happy to take a step forward and i am so happy i try to buy bitcoin for $50 i share it with my family to hold. because my family knows that I get a lot of money from investing in bitcoin.

that's my short story

For you how was your own reaction/expression in your first time of purchasing and owning bitcoins, was it so different? I would love to know!

Its been so long ago that I barely remember how I felt about Bitcoins back then and what I thought about the crypto currencies. Back in 2015/2016 I was heavily trading CSGO skins, I put some money into the game only with the goal to trade for my first knife, after that it had to be an expensive AWP skins and so on. Eventually I had too much money in the game, and once I got lucky in some case openings, I really needed to withdraw some money out of my steam account. The fastest and cheapest option on the big sites was with Bitcoins, so I made my first bitcoins transaction and owned my first crypto coins. As far as I remember it, I didn't think too much about the cryptos itself. For me it was more a tool to transfer money out of my CSGO inventory. My biggest investment mistake was to sell all my bitcoins back in the day, I wanted to have the money on my bank account and didn't save any bitcoins at all. That why I feel a bit bad about my first bitcoin transactions.
Just as you said to you bitcoin was just a means to an end so it was natural that you decided to sell your bitcoin at the time and got fiat instead, besides as you were not that interested in bitcoin at the time even if you had for some reason held those coins it is possible you would have sold for a bad price and maybe you could have even lost money in the process as well, so do not feel bad about it, because even if a great deal of people wish they had invested in bitcoin years before they actually did, there is a reason why that was not the case.

Not too quite long I had a section in my home where I had to discuss with some of my neighbors about cryptocurrency/bitcoin and to an extent explained to them how the industry operates and the benefits it can offer. But this is not the actual point of my discussion anyway.
The thing here is that one of the person's I had that round table discussion with was to my oblivion doing  some personal research privately about bitcoin based on all she has been told about it for the past many days after that very discussion. And so yesterday she came to me asking that I should assist her in purchasing bitcoin worth about $160 as she is avoiding on making mistake by doing it by herself alone since it's her first time. After every process and the said amount of bitcoin was purchased successfully into her account, immediately there was this expression of the feeling of joy the lady expressed with a wide smiles that seem unending and I was amazed at such level of excitement she showed.

Then after she left, I started asking myself, like did I also acted same way when I first got my own bitcoin or is the lady just been overwhelmed knowing she now own a certain amount of bitcoin or am I missing something as to why she reacted the way she did?

For you how was your own reaction/expression in your first time of purchasing and owning bitcoins, was it so different? I would love to know!

I came across a very sad day for me by chance, I just remember that at the time I was managing a community on kodi software and some users entered the chat writing Buy Bitcoin.  So I asked what it was and I didn't quite understand, I was only reading about euphoric people because it was about to surpass $1000.  So I opened Firefox and searched for Bitcoins, I spent hours trying to figure out what exactly I had to do in order to have some, and I remember that my choice fell on kraken.  Damn I surrendered my privacy.

My initial reaction was not like this. Because I wasn't certain that how it worked. I simply treat it like any other currency. But I'm learning more about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies every day. I'm proud to say that I'm now involved with cryptocurrency in some way. Although I lost a lot of money in trading, it has helped me a lot on the other hand. You did a good thing by explaining cryptocurrency to others. They are learning from the start of their journey.

My first BTC was not bought instead,I was paid with it at a service I rendered for a rich man. He told me that he just gave someone all the funds on him, quickly I said yes that day was my most excited day.
I never told anyone about it and didn't let anyone hold my phone, each time I will check my wallet to ensure the safety of my BTC since I had little knowledge then. Later after 3 months, I couldn't hodl anymore,I had to sell it and that was how my BTC journey started.

I got my first Bitcoin when I received an Altcoin from an event I participated in.
But they sent my payment to an exchange which required my to complete my KYC but since I wasn't prepared to let them have my details I then decided to swap the alts for Bitcoin since I had no faith in the Altcoin.

How was the swap done, was it on the exchange or off the exchange through peer to peer? You did the right thing swapping that altcoins as chances are, that altcoins is dead by now or been trading at a negative and most likely won't be rated as high as it was during the time of sell. Altcoins are not trustable as they can collapse at any moment even though they're top projects.

We saw projects like Luna crashed even though it had billions of investors backing throughout the period of existence through investment in the project. Such scenario can't be said about Bitcoin because it doesn't have flaw in its code that hackers can take advantage of meanwhile altcoins are full of them.

My first Bitcoin buy was a bit sad, because I had the feeling at the time, that I was too late for the party. I bought when the price was around $400+ and I was thinking that $500 would be the All time high price... and I would not make a huge profit.  Roll Eyes  A little while after that, the price increased to $1000+ and I sold many of those coins.  Angry

To my surprise, the Bitcoin price just kept on going up ...so I bought more and I hoarded those coins. I sold many of them for a huge profit at $18 000 and then again at $25 000 and the last ones at $40 000. ( I had no regrets, because I paid of most of my debt and I had some extra money in the Bank..... just waiting for the price to drop again )  Grin Grin

We all relate to this part when we first buy bitcoin and see the numbers in our bitcoin wallet, Mine was in 2017 when I first bought my bitcoin I don't really know or understand what bitcoin is but it was just a great feeling, especially for someone like me that doesn't really invest. It definitely gives you a lot of excitement when you do learn things about this bitcoin technology, when everything go smoothly from your learning and then you also earn at the same time is just a great feeling as an investor.

It is quite new to a lot of people when they first hear about this bitcoin thing, in my country when a bitcoin wallet was introduce it was just a new thing of transactions that business love but its not actually convenient to others, just the fun of having bitcoin or experience to buy things using bitcoin is just great since it is a new technology to some people.

I was so excited to own bitcoins for the first time, every second I wanted to open the app and check my bitcoins. Even when I go to bed at night, I think I bought bitcoin. Can't control my excitement.
I will also share this joy with my friends. It was my friends who introduced me to cryptocurrency, and they were so excited to see me.

I remember the first time I received my BTCs was from a campaign signature that I joined way back in 2017. I was a Jr. Member and I participated in one of those campaigns that yahoo managed. When I first received my coins, I quickly converted it to cash (through our local exchange) and spent in on food! I remember feeling so powerful and satisfied to the point that I was able to purchase something using my own knowledge and hard work in this forum.

Fast forward to 5 years from 2017, I still participate in campaign signatures and I have used majority of my coins to fund my own education and for the books of my brothers. Definitely, the power and convenience of working online is such a privilege that I want to exercise and maximize forever.

People that does not know what is Bitcoin that's not why you eat and does not invest in it so many people who comes into the cryptocurrency investment and especially bitcoin does not really go back again and understand the concept of Bitcoin but now what I want to say is that it is good for me to learn and understand more bitcoin is all about
People who like to earn Bitcoin always be excited in Bitcoin so I'm trying to let you know don't understand that bitcoin is something that when you go into the industry you will definitely like it unless you lose in which amount of money that will make you to regret to go into it and then when some people get the regret of joining bitcoin is mined the thread and refused to understand the meaning of trading

Then after she left, I started asking myself, like did I also acted same way when I first got my own bitcoin or is the lady just been overwhelmed knowing she now own a certain amount of bitcoin or
Pretty sure if she just owns the Bitcoin then she wouldn't get overwhelmed for no reason.
But once she knows about Bitcoin trading and interested to dig down everything about Bitcoin then probably she would get overwhelmed by any topics if she finds it difficult to understand.

am I missing something as to why she reacted the way she did?
She probably knows something and probably search something about the Bitcoin even just a bit which makes her really proud to even own the Bitcoin, hence she is really confident with what she offered to u. Getting something for the first time is such an experience especially if they are at old age, it's not only for Bitcoin but it's in general aspect of life. That's always wonderful

For you how was your own reaction/expression in your first time of purchasing and owning bitcoins, was it so different? I would love to know!
Pretty happy to an extent it already changed my life to the better one until today.

I was lucky to have had some knowledge about Bitcoin before owning my first Bitcoin which make it easy for me to find my way through to this point and I felt fulfilled when I finally own my first one million Satoshi.

I think it is better to build a good knowledge of Bitcoin before owning Bitcoin that way one will know how to secure their bitcoin holding and limit the risk associated with Bitcoin and know when to buy in or sell off as a passive trader.

my first investment in bitcoin dates back to 2016, it was my first absolute investment in cryptocurrencies and I was quite happy to take this step, because I knew I was investing for the future, still today I am happy with the choice made

You were extremely fortunate to have purchased bitcoin in that year, 2016. That is also the year I first learned about bitcoin. At that time, I was earning bitcoin but not keeping it or saving it, as I mostly spent it at restaurants (as I was very eager to eat in those restaurants since we couldn't afford them before, but because of bitcoin, I can now afford them). 2016 was also the year of ponzi schemes, and most newcomers (including myself) were scammed because we thought that was the only way to earn bitcoin.

let's say yes I was lucky to buy my bitcoins in that period, less fortunate because of the place where I live, since in my part Bitcoin is not fully recognized and especially the restaurateurs do not accept currencies other than FIAT, unfortunately the schemes ponzi and scams also existed long before, never be greedy with money, always put emotions aside when doing financial or crypto financial activities

I can't explain how I felt. All I can say is that it was a very unique and memorable moment in my life which I remember full of joy and nostalgia. That is the kind of moment you want to go back in time to live again, although you can't. I remember setting my first online wallet, claiming my first satoshis through faucets' lists full of excitement for the next round after the cooldown. I was so happy that I kept talking to my family about what I've discovered, and I also wanted them to understand and feel what I was feeling. Unfortunatelly they didn't take me serious until bitcoin reached to more expressive price levels.

The first time I had bitcoin was around 2013, I had my first job I bought a little. I remember being too excited about it, I watch the market price most of the time and watch my investment go up and down. It's a mixed emotion since I know little about bitcoin during that time and I had to do my own research since I don't know anyone who knows about bitcoin during that time. As time goes by I found a group of people who shares the same interest and that group led me to this forum. Now I share my knowledge about cryptocurrency to those who are interested in it and those who are asking me questions about it.

What can I say? This is the exact same thing that happened to me, only the difference is I acquired bitcoin a little too late sometime in 2017. I really smiled when I read this because this really happened to me too, I was so excited when I had my first acquisition and kept on looking at the market to see if the price did goes up or down, I just can't contain myself to refrain those things. Eventually, I get used to it and things started to go back to normal where I don't look at the market frequently. But yes, that first time was really unforgettable.

My first dealing was with altcoins not actually Bitcoin and that particular coin was also purchased through the help of my very good friend, though I was really happy that finally I own a crypto.

Then when I used my hand to buy first Bitcoin was during 2017 crash, so I didn't feel excited because It was so unfortunate for me that day because all my money almost went to zero in dollar value, because it seemed like the market was waiting for me to buy Bitcoin just after 5 minutes of purchasing Bitcoin the market crashed.
