Guess you don't pick up the comedic angle of the article.  It is rooted in truth that is what makes it sad and funny at the same time.
I guess i just expected a stronger refutation from yobit's supporters of the first hour.
Something with facts and all that you know. But as you see i've somewhat come to expect fairytale stories from yobit supporters.

But hey, whatever floats your boat. So long you convince yourself that you're just promoting yet another exchange, what's the big deal? you do you.

you know shit's bad when you need satirical articles to prove to yourself that other exchanges are just as bad  Roll Eyes.

As quoted above I posted about the #1 exchange by daily volume which is Binance.I can find something scammy about every single exchange.  We have to trade somewhere, all these exchanges have to make money and when money is involved shady things will happen, that is just business.  I have never had an issue using Yobit and withdraws have always been fast.
Did you even read the article?

I find it hard to take seriously with quotes like these;

Quote
“This is my last chance to make a boatload of cash before regulators finally crack down and turn Binance into another REKT exchange like Coinbase,” Mr. CZ told our reporters while wearing what he called “Bermuda Shorts,” tight underwear that the British Army somehow convinced the Bank of Bermuda to adopt as their dress code.

Quote
When questioned about his IEO strategy, CZ told Coin Jazeera “I regret nothing. Changing the ICO “C” to an “E” was revolutionary because it enabled me to fool idiot investors and get shitcoin gamblers excited again.” He continued, “But this is only the first piece of my master plan before I retire to become a mentor to the children like my uncle Jack Ma.”

Quote
We interviewed former somebody Vitalik Buterin from Bangkok, and asked him his thoughts on Binance Chain. “If a project wants to list their token on Binance and do an IEO, CZ requires them to make a generous “donation” to his charity as well as create their token on Binance Chain instead of Ethereum. They are forcing tokens with liquidity of less than $1 Million to switch from Ethereum to Binance Chain or else they will be delisted. Binance Chain is where shitcoins go to pump and dump one last time before they die. If he wants the scams, he can have them. Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve recently discovered sex and I’d like to get back to that.”

Quote
We couldn’t help but notice a similarity in CZ’s strategy to another familiar coin: Polkadot. When pressed, he reassured the public that he was not creating an Ethereum competitor. However, when our reporters went to the bathroom to take a dump after eating some bad Chinese food that the Binance office catered for reporters, we overheard CZ speaking with Justin Sun while urinating. We also thought it was weird that there were six open urinals but they took the ones right next to each other.

Quote
“These Gweilos don’t realize Binance Chain is my Trojan Horse to conquer Ethereum. We used a forked version of Tendermint that removed smart contracts to calm the community. What they don’t realize is that my evil plan is to add smart contracts back in the future after we force enough tokens to migrate. When this happens I will recreate 2017 all over again, but this time I will make ALL the money! Get ready for the Changpang Gangbang,” he laughed as he walked out of the restroom without washing his hands.

Quote
Before we left the Binance offices our Coin Jazeera reporters confronted CZ with this shocking revelation.

Yes, you caught me.” he sighed. “My final plan is indeed this. We first had the ICO, then we had the IEO, and finally we will have the CZO, The Changpang Zhao Offering. My plan is to centralize the blockchain industry around myself, and then the world. Malta will turn into the most powerful nation in the universe.” When we asked why, why would he take advantage of humanity like this, he responded, “Because for years in my youth I was the fry bitch at McDonald’s. I told them that one day I would run a magical fantasy coin laundering service for the whole world but they didn’t believe me. They told me to focus on the potatoes. Now everything looks like a potato. And potatoes need to be scrubbed. Who’s McCuckin’ it now, bitch?”

We left the offices shocked and confused. We immediately went to the SEC to try and stop him from taking over the world but they only fined him $250,000 and asked him politely to stop. There was nothing else we could do.

Sorry, but did you actually just try to use this article to justify why yobit isn't so bad afterall? Seriously?

My god i am dying of laughter, and quite unsure what to think of this article..

Ya I don't really see what they are doing from other exchanges.  Every top exchange on coinmarketcap does wash trading. Hell, even Binance has their own coin which is completely pointless, they could of just operated on trading fees but they wanted that extra money from BNB.  Binance lists a lot of junk projects because they get paid.  https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/binance/  so many junk coins and its the top exchange.

Remember when coinbase only had btc, eth, and ltc.  All these exchanges are accepting everything these days.  Guess they have to make money like everyone else.

You can say something bad about every single exchange.   And those binance trading competitions encourage pump and dumps.

Since Binance is the #1 exchange by volume:

i follow Theymos' rules here, thx, take care bye
Thank god you do follow (theymos's imaginary rules on this topic?... Huh) because your own moral compass for sure is missing.
It delegates the responsibility to someone else. That's the idea.
YoBit is known to enable their own pump and dump schemes. They are known to have very ponzi-like programmes and some actual ponzis (correct me if I'm wrong). Their IEO email spam and other items also add to this fire.

Don't be a part of something you don't support.

<...>
What is wrong with you people. You acknowledge they're a scam yet you're eager to jump ship and be one of the first to promote them again, only to then claim that you're morally righteous for doing so/standing up for the community because... Huh you're taking their money?

i follow Theymos' rules here, thx, take care bye

haha nice try Wink

unlike most people my views are pretty secure, unlike MOST people i can have a PAID AD as a sig
and still voice that i DONT agree with how something (or SOMEONE) is
if YOBIT has a problem with my pushing them to be better, and standing up for the community with my words
they can ban me from their campaign, plain and simple

nice try tho , i know alot will be mad this campaign is back, but my opinion on the flag dosent change, i support it still
the PEOPLE will decide (by spamming or not) if this campaign will continue
remember yobit had a campaign here for YEARS b4

anyways this is OffTopic, take it to your own thread or something man

You are possibly the most confusing and morally misdirected person that I've seen with positive trust. Are you actually willing to bend your morals for monetary gain? Whether Yobit is shady or not I don't have an opinion because I've only had positive experiences with them although I am aware of the claims against them.

Yet you take a different approach don't you? You believe that Yobit poses high risk to those that use them and there are concrete red flags against them.

You created a flag with
Quote
CjMapope alleged the following, but later withdrew it: Due largely to the factors mentioned in this topic, I believe that anyone dealing with YoBit is at a high risk of losing money, and guests would be well-advised to avoid doing so. This determination is based on concrete red flags which any knowledgeable & reasonable forum user should agree with, and it is not based on the user's opinions.

However you continue to advertise their services although you believe they are a scammy operation according to your above reply. Are you really willing to risk your reputation and advertise for a operation that you believe to be a scam? As a result of your advertising you are exposing more members to what you consider to be a scam how on earth does your morals allow you to do that?

I share a similar view point to The Pharmacist in that I use Yobit and have had no problems myself and I don't actually consider them a scam operation. I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt that their customer service is awful and hopefully the current issues people are having are actually resolved.

I'm not going to support or oppose this flag, but I have much respect for Joel_Jantsen for creating it.  The reason for my inaction is that I'm currently still using them to buy a coin that I can't conveniently get anywhere else, and I'd feel like a hypocrite if I supported the flag.

I am well aware of all the scam accusations against Yobit, but many of them never had any followup to document whether problems were resolved or not.  I never thought of them as a purely scam exchange like Cryptsy or some of the others that took off with their customers' money.  They certainly have incompetent customer service and are indeed shady, but that's as far as I'm willing to go.

My views are not set in stone, however.  I could very well change my mind about this with further research, but I have a very biased viewpoint:  I've never had a problem with them.

Supported your flag.

They have shady practices, and I have lost funds to them due that I sent some alts to Yobit but their altcoin wallet was on a different chain.
I never received my coins, and they never replied.

Yobit is a deceitful operation to my eye.
Which flag did you choose? If they have personally scammed you, you should be going for that contractual flag (which is ideally responsible for the scammer tag on their profile.)

I simply supported yours.
I'd need to dig into it, since I never bothered to open a scam accusation against them. It happened somewhere in 2016.

But .. I doubt it will happen, that coin I sent to them has died since then so there is no blockchain explorer.
So it's only my word, I have no facts to present, hence why I supported your claims. Smiley

Needless to say,  I also backed up your flag without any hesitation, largely because of the numerous scam accusation topics opened against them and their recent ultra-spam encouraging signature campaign (which ended being banned).

Yeah but that wouldn't really make a big difference because we can't give them a scammer tag. Thanks for supporting the flag anyway. Smiley

Hi guys, I've only been reading up on flags for the last ten minutes.
Shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to understand it lol  Wink

Your flag link wants me to start a flag whereas other flag requests have asked me to support their flags.

Which would you prefer?
I wouldn't want you to start a flag since I did do that on my own. I want you to support my flag if you think it's appropriate. You can choose the Flag type as your individual choice.

Given the changes, there will be many request as such but I think using a common thread to report will be much more helpful.
That's true and hence, my own dedicated thread. Smiley

Can someone tell me why when Avirus commented that he support the idea, his comments was not deleted while mine was just a one sentence but the gist was same as Avirus was deleted 😡
Because your post is trashy and doesn't add anything constructive to the conversation like @Avirunes post. "I like the idea", "Nice project", "Very Interesting" are some of the examples of shit-posts that get deleted and in the long run you might get a ban if you keep on creating such posts. Avoid them. Support your "Very nice, I like the idea" with - Why do you think it's a nice idea.
