After browsing 4chan.org for a few minutes I eventually came across the Flat Earth thread, a string of confused users suffering from cognitive dissonance.
In an attempt to alleviate their confusion I attempted post some proofs and explanations. However to my dismay Google Captcha refused to let me pass and allow posting unless I paid them $20 BTC. I don't know what kind of racket these faggots are running so I'm going to make the economical choice and post it here.

You do know how big the globe is don't you?
That's the problem I see with many science deniers, and it's difficult even for science proponents. Scale, either really small or really large is just so far out of our realm of personal reference that it can become meaningless. And without a sense of reference it is very easy to draw the wrong conclusions from observations. Even attempts to link to our intuition like "more stars than grains of sand in all the beaches" quickly saturate our brains.

The only proof for Flat Earth is talk. There is only one scientific proof for FE. Which scientific proof is that? The same one that exists for evolution. Political science. Political science says that out-talking your opponent is proof. Political science also accepts lies as proof.

How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?
