Ethereum Gets Another Big Development Boost From Ernst & Young

ETH is getting closer to PoS mechanism and this could boost ETH value to new highs, with BTC having halving in a six months period, what do you expect in near future or a long term, do you think that flippening (ETH marketcap to overcome BTC marketcap) is possible within 2021?

ETH marketcap wont overcome bitcoins anytime soon my friend
i dont see any coin doing this in the next 10 years

I have a lot of respect for Eth but i don't think Eth can outshine BTC when it comes to market cap. The dominance of BTC will be difficult to break bt any coin.

No. I'm bullish with Ethereum but this kind of speculation is far to happen IMO.
Sure, there will be too many that will chase to be eligible with the PoS rewards of ETH but it doesn't mean that it will overcome BTC's marketcap. Just look on how much is the difference of ETH and BTC at the moment. Although most of us are expecting for ETH's all time high again but it wouldn't be because of ICOs but because of PoS.

We will see that what will happen after ethereum implemented POS system. if there will be more coins getting locked in the network and that flippening may happen but if that gives the opposite result and then I will never believe about the chance of ethereum flippening to the bitcoin position.
When you are taking the POS system as the only chance for ethereum to do the flippening and it may if it has a really low percentage compared when it was various feature to be offered in the future.
Some coins have already offered the pos migration but that doesn't give a lot of impact to the price of the coin itself. That needs more than a decade for ethereum to do that or never due to the hardcap supply achievement by bitcoin that is also pushing the price of bitcoin.

Price of Etehreum will most likely never reach the ATH it had in 2018. ICOs that were starting on ETH were what caused that price. Most of them have little use and new ICOs dont start anymore.

The switch to POS is not big enough to offer the opportunity to beat BTC. If everything happens as expected, it is expected to be the best staking coin, which will affect the price in a good direction. But, as long as the dominance of the BTC is too high, the second place will be the best position for ETH for a long time. So "Flippening" seems difficult in the coming years.
