Yep...not like im new to btc or anything but WHY is it, every time the pot starts to bubble, I run off to count my piggy bank for "just a couple more"? Lol
I'm curious if anyone else (that has been around long enough to know better) still gets these vibes?
I've been content buying the dips AND the tops...little at a time. Today was the first day in forever that I checked price more than once in a day lol...usually a sign that I'm gonna panic buy and of course, watch price drop the second in do.

It's simply. Everyone is scared as hell to miss the boat. Everyone knows deep down that this technology is here to stay and will only get better and bigger. Even haters. Haters are the most hilarious. They try to auto convince themselves that it's not worth it, but deep down they know something is up and have that itch to buy, they just don't want to buy because they are scared of losing money. All /r/Buttcoiners idiots suffer from this syndrome. Let them burn once we go Jupiter.

I will panic buy if we break 350 with momentum

The same here, I would definitely buy even if it is out of the budget. If that happens, I think many would follow suite, causing a new bubble to form with everyone participating in the hype.

Personally, I think the hype has already been created... a couple of months ago, people were seriously thinking it was truly the end of bitcoin as we knew it when prices were falling below $200.  Not to say that this wasn't the same thing when prices were falling from the skies at $1000; but I think people are starting to realize that this seems to be a healthier growing point bitcoin has reached as of right now with the steady price increases each week... not too fast, not too slow... the perfect medium for all speculators in bitcoin to keep steadily putting money in and not worry about some huge crash near that's nearing soon.

lol, yep... you've caught the bug that many of us caught when we were buying in at $600-$700 a coin.  It's just a matter of putting in as much as you can afford with out "breaking" the piggy bank you are going for to buy more coins... As long as you have a somewhat level head, and realize how much you can spend on digitalized money without foreclosing on your house or something like that; then you'll be just fine.  But mostly just try to buy the big dips, of course this is hard and anyone who could predict with certainty that a price is going to do what a certain given time would be a billionaire by now.

its totally normal behavior, the hive mind... people see a spike and the money rushes in... classic bubble action. you know the saying "nothing sells success like success"? this is an example of that happening in reality.

dont worry though we will see a bottoming out in February or march... then the next big rise up to November 2016. have your monies at the ready.

It's just a human nature bro! We all tend to wanna buy when we see something is growing and want to sell when we see something is dropping. It happens to me all the time.

The real truth is that we should buy when everyone is selling and sell when everyone is buying, at least that's what everyone says that is the key on making money in the markets! Smiley

You neglected momentum trading.

me..I've mined all mine since 2013....soon home mining will be dead for me as well (13c kwh) ..so not sure ..have held it all...even ate the electric price rather then cash out coin..so this either works or I will be...wait for it....'the beanie baby king of crypto' or something like it...if it all goes 'tulips' Smiley

whatever can't say this whole thing is not 'interesting' ..but so far don't speculate on coin....too confused just trying to follow the logic (none) of why crypto does
what it does when it does it...speculation scares the crap out of me...so until my miners (titans) go doorstop....I'm confused enough by my equip/elec/hoarding since 2013
thank you very much! Don't need the added stress/confusion Smiley

(if this goes beanie baby ..I will make a shelf with paper wallet wall paper behind it...send one of my Titan cubes to the place that bronze's baby shoes..get that done...then
decorate the shelf with tulips..as a monumental shrine to me being an idiot ..always best to keep the ego in check and a catastrophic back up plan ..in my case...folk will
ask ..I will simply point them to said shrine....(prob should include a reference to the evils of 'kool aid' but can ponder that another time)

Very few people can conquer those primal feelings. The ones that can are the market winners. The ones that don't are their fodder. It sounds dead simple to simply flip normal behaviour on its head. The reality is rather harder to implement.

The fact that I have zero desire to sell any of my coins right now means the price is going higher.

Are you sure you aren't one of the large group of people saying; when I buy the price goes down, and when I sell the price goes up?

No, I am the epitome of the average Bitcoin man, the canary in the coal mine.

I don't have that feeling. I know there will always be a better price to buy/sell within three months.
It has always been like this. It pays to be patient when it comes to trading bitcoin.

5 months before the halving?  Yea right.  People know the halving will take it to at least 400 and they just began pricing it in now this month.  You might get lucky and see some kind of flash crash to 260 or something between here and 3 months from now, but the trend is definitely up.  The fact that I have zero desire to sell any of my coins right now means the price is going higher.
