If there is a team start to use bitcoin as a payment method, others will learn to do the same. Every football club has a company behind it and they are very rich. Paying bitcoin as salary will be a good news to consider because when a football club makes that decision, it will spread the word around the globe. Bitcoin will surely be beneficial a lot from that kind of activities

Thanks to Chiliz (CHZ), I saw and learned the investments made by football clubs in cryptocurrencies. Football clubs have started to give importance to crypto and teams have started to issue their own cryptocurrencies, this is a good development. Regardless of the field, the increasing importance of cryptocurrencies is something that will benefit us. Football is already a very fanatic field, so I hope it will be given more importance.

In terms of economics, bitcoin is promising, but whether it will be easy to make a payment agreement because the price of bitcoin or other crypto always move in seconds.
and that must also have the approval of various management in the team and the players. if you want other bitcoin / crypto payments

Could this be the way forward for football clubs in the future
If I'm not mistaken, I've seen the club vs. bitcoin, in my opinion this news is familiar to the forum community.

For example topics that have discussed about it.

Topic: ###Bitcoin Draw Club###

Topic: BITCOIN SPENDING ON FOOTBALL TEAMS

Topic: Crypto has made it to mainstream! Football clubs PSG and JUV have their own coin

My opinion:
I hope that by 2025 all football clubs can pay their salaries or bonuses using Bitcoin to all the teams in football clubs in the world.

That's good news. More and more are adopting to Bitcoin and probably more will follow not just other teams in football but other sports will go into it in no time. They're probably be having a huge profit out of it in no time plus having a permissionl ess transaction with banks.

Football clubs don’t want to be left out of the crypto surge, that is why some clubs are optioning in for payment using cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin. This will give the club’s players an advantage over other players that are paid in none Crypto. The players stand to make huge profits from their holdings because of cryptocurrency market volatility.

This is one step forward for sure. But the aim here is advertising Bitcoin rather than focusing on paying with Bitcoin fully. Because everybody is aware of something that people can make investments with their salaries also.

The phenomenon of the use of Bitcoin in football has actually been going on for several years.
According to my knowledge Bitcoin began to touch in the world of football in the range of 2018. The profit in the use of Bitcoin is to reduce the practice of corruption in the world of football.

Yes, I think you're right. In 2018, the cryptocurrency venture Quatocoin reportedly purchased a 25% stake in the Italian club Rimini FC 1912 using the cryptocurrency.
This is the first time a cryptocurrency was used in professional football, as far as I know.

It's no news that some football clubs might consider paying players in bitcoins sooner rather later with the continued surge of the currency football clubs like Southampton and Tottenham have partnerships with some Bitcoin firms and Southampton plays could be paid bonuses in bitcoins.

Yes, seeing the very rapid development of bitcoin makes in all vectors, not only football, now bitcoin is widely used as a legal payment method. This shows a positive and many people are very interested in bitcoin as a payment method to consider in other fields. The hope is that if bitcoin can be accepted well, bitcoin development will continue to increase. This is a positive signal that bitcoin has a good future, even though we never know how long it will last.

I would have love to see some links to the news about some of the club listed above wanting to pay with bitcoin. I am not doubting this especially now that some clubs sponsors are known bitcoin projects. The most recent one is the crypto.com sponsoring Italian cup final https://www.coindesk.com/crypto-com-official-sponsor-italy-soccer-cup-final

To pay using bitcoin, it seems that players will also think about the risks that will arise.
Bitcoin is very volatile, of course, provides a big risk to lose value faster. soccer players will still think about accepting payments using bitcoin. Maybe if only a few bonuses were using bitcoin it wouldn't be a problem. Because nowadays many football clubs are launching their own club coins.

Bitcoin and crypto is becoming mainstream these days and more and more companies and clubs are ready to make payments to players and employees in bitcoin for which they need to have wallet and just transfer funds to the receivers Bitcoin address at once without any centeral intervention of banks. Here is list of some football Bitcoin related news:

1)First football transaction in bitcoin

2)Bonus to players in bitcoins with sponsorship of sportsbet.io

3) Sacramento Kings to offer salary in bitcoin

4)NFL player to get paid in bitcoin

These days Bitcoin demand is increasing among masses as they have realised that fiat value is going to depreciate over time with inflation and moreover they have to disclose their earnings to government and have to make third party transactions. But with Bitcoin comes profit and freedom of your funds which is future. Many more will also adopt the same method in future.

After reading the article and it was in the news in 2018, it fills me with joy for the important initiative of eToro to create alliances linked to Marketing so that soccer adopts bitcoin and blockchain technology is a long way as they affirm, because implementing a new one technology requires consensus, effort and development for the best use of it.

It is worth noting that this agreement was thanks to Tottenham Hotspur who are lovers of innovation and new technologies. On the other hand, eToro is established as the first company to pay for a Premier League partnership in bitcoin.

Quote
Tottenham Hotspur are among seven Premier League clubs to sign marketing deals with cryptocurrency trading platform eToro.

Spurs, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Cardiff City, Leicester City and Southampton will collect sponsorship money from the platform in bitcoin.

Away from Bitcoin, I think clubs should begin advertising for alts.

This will be great news, However, i don't believe that its adoption can completely eliminate the use of fiat currency.
I think those who are advocating the complete eradication of fiat or replacement by Bitcoin are too excited to consider the tiny part that won't make this possible. Bitcoin is high tech to be easily understood by the old and illiterate folks to be able to assess. Again, electricity isn't yet in every nation and that's the backbone on which Bitcoin operates.

It will be difficult for bitcoin to get mainstream acceptance and adoption without government support. So until the government backs up the credibility of bitcoin, many football clubs might not be able to use it.
There are some clubs which are already using it. I don't think it needs government's support before any club can do that, provided the government doesn't ban it. Talking about mainstream — the British Pounds Sterling isn't an internationally recognized currency over the US dollar, yet it's still more valuable in strength than the US dollar. Bitcoin doesn't need to be adopted by mass before people will begin to use it.

I think many soccer clubs are dependent on bitcoin. Bitcoin will bring the football club rich. They will have money to buy players, build new stadiums. They invest in promoting the club brand. How do you feel about this problem? In my opinion it is great for those clubs.

I don't think it is the way forward. Rather, it is just an option for the players. Bitcoin has not yet reached to that level, where it can replace the value of money. Hence it is not yet a preferred choice for the players to get their salary. They probably wouldn't mind getting the bonuses in bitcoin, but it is still a distant future when the players will get the salary in bitcoins. So it's not a way forward as of now but may change in future if bitcoin really follows the stock-to-flow model and reach 1 million. Some players might want to have a little amount of bitcoin in their wallet looking at the future possibilities. But that's not going to become a trend anytime soon!

What's the point of football clubs paying their players with Bitcoins?Do the clubs get any benefit from that?
I don't see any benefit from such move.It would be way better for the football clubs to just buy lots of BTC and HODL them. Many football clubs have problems with debt,so having an asset that gets more valuable in the long term is a way to make more money and payoff their debts.
If the football players want to adopt Bitcoin, they could just buy BTC with their fiat salaries.

Your suggestion for football clubs that have problems with debt is to gamble on bitcoin and hope that the price will pump hehehe. That is not a very good tactic for the CEO to keep his job, I reckon hehe.

@Alucard1. What they should be informed about is the volatility. Their salary can be -10% in 1 day after receipt hehehe.

Maybe it will happen soon in the community of football, players may receive bitcoin as their payment but before it happens, they should be informed first what bitcoin is and even some knowledge about decentralization and blockchain as well. This is the thing about cryptocurrency, it is hard to implement cryptocurrency as a means of payment because not all people knows about it and some people still prefer with traditional way or the fiat currency.
