Teams that cannot make money from tickets during the pandemic period make money by issuing tokens. If we give an example, we can give examples of teams such as paris, juventus, barcelona. I think it will continue after the pandemic.

What's the point of football clubs paying their players with Bitcoins?Do the clubs get any benefit from that?
I don't see any benefit from such move.It would be way better for the football clubs to just buy lots of BTC and HODL them. Many football clubs have problems with debt,so having an asset that gets more valuable in the long term is a way to make more money and payoff their debts.
If the football players want to adopt Bitcoin, they could just buy BTC with their fiat salaries.

It's no news that some football clubs might consider paying players in bitcoins sooner rather later with the continued surge of the currency football clubs like Southampton and Tottenham have partnerships with some Bitcoin firms and Southampton plays could be paid bonuses in bitcoins.
Could this be the way forward for football clubs in the future

Large amount transactions with ease is one of the purpose bitcoin and other crypto were made,so it might be the future for bitcoin and other crypto

Sometimes it can happen for players to get paid bitcoin, but it must get approval from various management in the team and the players. but actually paying with bitcoin should make it easy for players, and don't make it difficult for players because players have to focus on practicing football instead of focusing on bitcoin

There are other fan tokens already available in the crypto market such as PSG, JUV, ATM, ASR ... and all of them are trading in many exchanges including Binance. I can see in the future that players will be paid on their own native fan tokens. We are in the era of digital currencies which will make the future of our children be more reliable than that of which is controlled by the Government through the banking system.

The idea of football companies buying into bitcoin or even cryptos generally has paved way for projects to be of more value and sports to be more appreciable in the society that has a stronger bond for soccer than they do for any other. Let clubs take their positions in the bitcoin space and see the fortune it gives them.

Yeah, i can recall awhole ago, bitcoin was one of the icons on the Southampton Jersey and had booking reservations in the Saint Mary's Stadium for the best views from a vip spot of the entire game. It was and is still an awesome development.  I'm sure it brought some promotion to bitcoin and in time when the value of bitcoin becomes more and more accepted by the world, the next big 8nvestorss would be the football clubs and the footballers themselves. They are sure to come into the market huge and we would experience another boom that would create another all time high because, its on the way.

I see the deals that football clubs have made in bitcoin and many altcoins lately. There is an interest in cryptocurrencies in the football world. this interest is increasing day by day. I think this is a very good development. because what I noticed lately is that most of the new arrivals are people who are also betting. In other words, the more we are heard, the more people we reach. That's the good thing.

you don't need to start a partnership with some centralized "firm" to be able to pay your employees in bitcoin. you just have to have bitcoin and just pay them as you pay them with fiat but without needing the third party such as a bank.
that is not different for a footbal club.

As far as I can remember some football clubs since three years ago or more already has a betting sponsor partnership with various casino, so it's definitely going to be a trend. Maybe not for the top clubs, but mid-low table clubs could easily accept them, especially if the deal is good.

I heard that Southampton FC players can receive some percentage of their choice in Bitcoin, and one Nigerian player Ifunanyachi Achara from Canadian club Toronto FC also receives his paycheck in Bitcoin with Bitwage platform.
I am not exactly sure how exactly Bitwage work, calculate and pay people, but they are register US company and they work with many individuals and companies.
Other players and clubs will also face with inflation crisis soon and many of them will join Bitcoin community sooner or later.

This will be great news, However, i don't believe that its adoption can completely eliminate the use of fiat currency. It will be difficult for bitcoin to get mainstream acceptance and adoption without government support. So until the government backs up the credibility of bitcoin, many football clubs might not be able to use it.
Maybe bitcoin will co-exist with fiat currency because bitcoin needs approval from the government to be used as the payment system besides fiat currency. Even if our local store accepts bitcoin, that will still need government approval not to break any government regulations. Maybe it needs more time before the football clubs can be able to use it and until that time, we need to prepare ourselves for the coming.

maybe if a certain football club prepares their crypto as did one of the Juventus football clubs, which currently their crypto operates on the Binance exchange.
Not one of the Juventus football clubs, there is only one Juventus FC.  Wink

It's important to mention that Juventus has an agreement with socios.com. It's a community for fans. It's got nothing to do with players and club officials getting their salaries paid in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. The fan token that Juventus released allows fans to vote on certain things, but that's it. One of the things they could vote for in the past was the goal celebration of players. Another voting system was created to design the graphics on the team bus.

Adopting Bitcoin can be a good promotional move as it can surely be getting some good amount of media attention. Going deeper, I think that maybe we are already in the stage where Bitcoin (in particular and crypto in general) is getting the acceptance of a critical and influential number of people and organizations. We in this industry are all hoping that this is just the start of this evolution and that soon many other established firms and clubs will also be endorsing Bitcoin. This is a good path towards mainstream adoption.

It is just going to be an option for those football players if they prefer to accept their salaries in bitcoin.
Cryptocurrency mainly bitcoin, it is becoming popular and football clubs who have already started with sponsorships and partnerships with bitcoin related websites which is giving an entry to the club itself, players, staffs, management and as well fans.

They are clubs that have partnerships and sponsorships with Sporstbet.io gambling site. Sportsbet.io's partnerships. Watford is the first club in England has Bitcoin logo on their sleves.

Watford agree sleeve sponsorship with Bitcoin in Sportsbet.io expansion.

Bitcoin will be used more by companies and salary can be paid as an optional method for players, staffs. I only have my curious issue with such payment: privacy and anonymity for payment receivers.

NFL players are asking to get paid in bitcoin for a long time now and some of them got paid already so I think that it will only be a matter of time before we can see football players receiving their slaries in bitcoin or their preferred cryptocurrency. That is one step towards adoption.

Could this be the way forward for football clubs in the future

It could be, and as far as I know there are other athletes requesting to be paid in BTC, and other accepting it as mode of payment, NBA Team Sacramento Kings to Offer Players the Option of Getting Salary Paid in Bitcoin. And in Chiefs Tight End Sean Culkin to Convert Entire NFL Salary Into Bitcoin. And then we have Stake.com confirms first crypto sponsorship as they sign Israel Adesanya as ambassador. So you don't have to look in the future, it's already happening all over sports now.
