so the value of this token depends on how strong the club is, and how many followers they have. so if you want to get a hold of this type of token, maybe, choose a football club that have strong social media presence as well as large number of supporters. and if you are a solid fan for that particular club, i believe you can optimise the use of this token by participating on their events or acquiring items related to the club.
the token itself is not backed by any known alt, but the value is determined on how strong the demand of the token is in the market.

I know that FC Porto token would be launched few hours from now and the price is gonna be massive cause many fan supporters, team, and players are patiently waiting for when it will be launched. I think all this fan token has uses which means it's going to be use to pay fans, players at least at some percentage.

This is a type of ""technology"" that clubs are implementing, they have realized the great potential that tokens and cryptoactives have and are implementing in their teams (of course not everyone is doing this)

But generally speaking, I also believe with what @Woodie said above. Chances are these tokens are some kind of loyalty point for fans to use on their team, gifts, discounts at team stores, discounts on game tickets and so on.

I remember that I was surfing Telegram groups and I have found a group about the Juventus fan token.
That was the first time I have ever heard about fan tokens.I immediately thought that this is a scam.
Are those tokens really connected to the football clubs?Maybe the token developers are just trying to squeeze out money from die hard football fans by creating some fake fan tokens.
I don't get the point of the fan token business model.The fans might get some perks like merch or tickets,but can't they just buy discounted merchandise and tickets by using fiat money?
Tokens aren't really needed in this process.
I'm 100% sure that the fan tokens would never be used for gambling/sports betting.

Many of those tokens are listed on top exchanges and they all have good values just like Manchester city fan token which is listed on binance and many other fan token with very high value. There are several thing that Fan Token creators ^{[https://www.socios.com/]} describe in detail about Fan Token use cases. As far as I know, the token are tradable and some of them are still in the sale and development stage. The token also serves as a digital ticket to the beloved team to do some things.

Checking these tokens in the market CITY is the highest rank football token in the market I am not a big fan of football I have no plan of investing here, these football tokens popularity owed it to football fans because these are diehard football fans, if I may recall the first football base coin or token is XFC I participated in their signature campaign, but now it's not in the top rank in the market, price and volume are going down also, there's a possibility that these football-based token could suffer the same fate.

Yes, the same i feel about these token. These days it is a hype as every club is coming out with its own token but soon these tokens will lose the value. There should be some mechanism like on every win, the club will buy back tokens etc else i don't see any reason for these token to remain popular.

I'm pretty sure that the main purpose of these tokens is marketing, many clubs are wanting to "surf the wave" of cryptocurrencies somehow and release their cryptocurrencies just to demonstrate some relevance in this niche.

Second, it could be for cash as well, and soon we should see these tokens being used as a bargaining chip in some club partner casinos as well.

It is clear, these tokens doesn't have any real purpose or use case in my view. It is something like a hype/attraction. Just think of the football sporting fans around the world. It is a big number, these tokens market is big and more football fans will invest buying their favourite's tokens. This way market making is a simple task for them. There is no real purpose and slowly gets used on gambling needs which too is very minimal.

Since its not been clarified on whats the use of these tokens then we do make out some presumption its wether just for fan collection or something like that or simply ripping off money out of their fans.

Real use case? I cant see anything difference out of these tokens but just purely basing off or minding off with the fans money. Tongue

Thats why for fans out there then you shouldnt really make yourself fall into this trap if you dont like to lose money.

As far as i know you can also pay for certain services of the club with those official fan tokens, for example for merchandise or even for tickets and so on. If i remember correctly Lionel Messi also got a huge chunk of Paris Saint Germain Fan tokens as part of his signing back in August, which gave the whole fan token scene a huge boost.
I am also not really sure what the use-cases for those Fan tokens are besides an additional method of payment for certain services of the clubs. It just means you don't need a credit-card and therefore you don't need a bank to buy a ticket or other stuff.

So can FAN tokens only be used for sports services at certain clubs such as paying for tickets and purchasing other accessories or can only be done on FAN tokens as a form of community? Actually, I still don't really understand the sport token FAN in its actual function.

So far I haven't seen a gambling platform provide services on sports coins including the aforementioned FAN token, and I know FAN tokens from freebitco are used in gambling.

I think these are two different cases between football club fan tokens and gambling. It has absolutely nothing to do with it. Football fan-based tokens only focus on token project development and sale on the market and are not interfered with by any gambling. Unless certain communities hold soccer gambling when the club competes then outsiders make bets.

I think fan token are not in focus for gambling but for shopping in some shops such as a merchandise with a club logo or for the club itself such as buying ticket or used for collaboration with other sponsors maybe but over time it can also be used for gambling well in terms of token like that which can have a broad meaning for their use like currency in general anything can be applied because it involves money

I remember the post being made before as well, these fan tokens are actually something that would help the fans to vote on certain decisions regarding the team. I do think it's gives you a little say regarding the whole team and how it would work as well, therefore I do think it's perfect for people who are dedicated to a team perse.

I do not think they would be used in gambling tho. It would be more like : designs that you might choose for their jersey, vote for other superficial things as well. For gambling I do think it's easier to use cryptocurrencies they provide you with more options hands down..also some people go so far as to compare these fan tokens with NFT's which might allow you to sell them as well.
