Last season? Manchester United had too much injured players last season, like the injury was just too consistent, I can barely remember or recall a defender that was consistent for them last season. It went to the point of deploying Casemiro a defensive midfielder backwards to serve as a defender. Harry Maguire improved no arguments but considering his age, what he gives back to the club, his consistent performance and his high payroll for the club and in the premier league, it's wise of Manchester United to be open to offers for him come January transfer window. It is the best decision for the club.
Manchester United's injury cases was much and consistent last season, they had serious defensive issues to the extent of converting other players to play defense like Casamero, and they failed to sign good backups again this season, and now with less injuries, they have started to struggle again and defensive issues is still additional problem.
Ten Hag need to review his defenders and look for perfect solution to the defensive department of the team because even if your team is not performing very well, if you have solid defenders, you can maintain the team performance to some certain level.

Yeah Maguire already improve a lot, actually the last season he was improved, not like the last few years that he make many mistakes. I think it's not good to sell Maguire that already improved, Manchester United still lack of senior defenders. De Ligt and Mazraoui are two senior players, but I don't see them give a big contribution to Manchester United, but they're not that bad.

Opening an offer for him is not the problem but will there be any club that will come for him. However, I don't think this is the best time to send Maguire out from the club because his impact is being felt currently in the club because he was the one that was able to equalize the third goal in their last Europa league match. A player should not be offloaded when he is performing well, only if a club comes for him. However, the fat salary and little contribution by Maguire is a good reason to sell him and bring in a young vibrant player.

This season Maguire have been helpful no matter that Ten Hag cannot do his own job effectively. Last season was a big setback for United due to several injuries on the players but what is happening this season that has led to the poor performance of Manchester united like last season.

Harry Maguire have really improved from the poor performances and avoidable mistakes we were seeing from him last two seasons. It got to a point where most of us thought he was going to thrown out from the first team but his determination to work and improve himself I think has really paid off. He's one of the most important members of the Manchester United squad at the moment but sadly for him, he's currently sidelined because of an injury he recently sustained. I'm not too convinced about Mazroui but Matthijs de Ligt in one of the games he played for Manchester United this season produced the man if the match performance so I think he's got the leadership qualities needed to lead the United defense in absence of Maguire

From Zero to 2 times Self-Made Legendary
Harry Maguire is 31 years old and has not been very consistent in the last two seasons. He has played in almost half of the games for Manchester United in the last two seasons, which is very few. He has not been with the team for the other half. Therefore, his place in the team is no longer guaranteed. I think Manchester United may allow him to be transferred to another team. He has also played very wrong games with Manchester United in the past. Although he is generally considered a good player, I think he is no longer a necessary player for Manchester United.

Now I know the reason why Man United wants to sell Harry Maguire, not just because he is getting old or his performance is inconsistent, but I forgot that Man United has Leny Yoro who is currently still injured. Because there are so many options for the center back position, Man United feels they need to reduce their expenses. So the target is players with high salaries but minimal contribution, and that criteria lies with Harry Maguire.

Well now there is actually an improvement in Harry Maguire's game, but his contribution is still not that big, so I think the decision to sell this player is not a bad decision. On the one hand, there are still many players who have not shown their best game with Manchester United, so this is also a challenge for them to be able to restore the performance of several players.
One more thing that makes me wonder, why does Erik Ten Hag like to call players who previously worked with him, because the players he brought back were not very effective. There are many problems that must be solved within Manchester United, so this must be handled seriously if they want to return to their former glory.

The news of Manchester United putting Maguire for sale truly disappointed me. But I can accept it if they bring a better and more experienced CB to replace him. This is because he has been better than when he came to our club. His mentality is fully developed. That's after he got thousands, even hundreds of thousands of critics from United fans.

It's probably why he was working harder to reach this position. But it saddens me he must leave ASAP. They have around 7 months to sell him before the end of his contract. Hopefully, someone better than him to join us after they sold him.

But I'm wondering whose club has an interest in him. Maybe, Fulham? or Westham? The last time i've heard that they rejected 20m offer from Westham for him.

Hmmmm... What are you talking about  Huh
Barcelona voluntarily signed a contract with him and are obliged to fulfill it, if they want to break/change it, then they either pay a penalty or negotiate with the player (it is naive to think that he will reduce his salary). They also cannot sell him without his consent.
By the way, what do you think about Olmo? Look at his injury history  Wink

Oh you got me completely wrong my friend.  Grin  Why would I think they can just simply change his current contract conditions? Of course it is impossible. But maybe I should have written it more clearly.

Anyways, I actually meant doing that by a new contract. It seems like Barcelona doesn't intend to sell him these days. Then they can just offer a new contract and try to convince him for a lower salary. Yeah maybe it would be optimistic but maybe he would make sacrifice a little by thinking of the financial condition of the team.

When it comes to Olmo yeah I must admit he is also prone and already injured if I'm not wrong. But isn't there still a big gap between his and de Jong's salaries?  Smiley

Mo Salah is predicted to leave on a free transfer after his contract ends with Liverpool on June 30, 2025, Liverpool will try to retain the player who has contributed greatly to the team since being brought to Anfield in 2017, Liverpool management has prepared a new contract for him and is ready to open negotiations with him. However, if Mo Salah sticks to his decision to leave Merseyside at the end of the season, all parties must respect his decision and Liverpool must immediately look for other players to cover the gaps in their squad.
Rumors of Mo Salah's departure from Liverpool are also closely linked to clubs in Saudi Arabia. The club is reportedly ready to make significant moves to bring him to join a number of other stars who have previously played in the Arab League.

Yeah indeed so far there has been no indication that Mo Salah will extend the contact therefore Liverpool have prepared anticipation by targeting several players to replace Mo Salah position, from several sources Dortmund player Karim Adeyemi rumored to be the right player to take over and this player can play in several positions yeah we will hear this news in the upcoming transfer window. Another source reports Christian Pulisic on the target list, but I doubt this one.

By the way, measuring the potential for Mo Salah's movement will occur 100% if Liverpool win the League and that was the right moment, another scenario is likely to move 60% because he has not given a signal that he will extend the contract, yeah at least before the middle of the season.

The Red Devils will always come out strong, they have formidable strategy but these players are suffering from fatigued, thereby leading to the shaky performance of the club. Manchester United have an amazing players, the coach have a good thing going on but he just have to make sure he rearrange with proper strategies. Improvement is compulsory and constant for footballers. Manchester United defendlines have been extremely tactical this season, with the likes of Harry Maguire, Lindelof, De Ligt and Mazraoui are promising defenders for the club. Why trigger the sell clause of the English defender? Harry Maguire is in good form, although he's slacking behind when it comes to grabbing opportunities, he failed often to deliver when he's been called upon but atleast, he exerts his best.

I wasn't even expecting Moh Sallah to still remain in Liverpool this season due to speculation and rumor going on then towards the ed of last season that he will leave Liverpool for Saudi Arabian team which I don't know which team in particular, but before the beginning of the season when Arne Slot take over from Jurgen Klopp, he said that he will play additional one season before taking his leave, this has shown that he has passion for the club because he has some amazing memories, and will also not want the team in that same condition it was towards the end of last season.
The performance Liverpool is displaying this season might keep him till the end of the season, because if he leaves now, it will not be proper since he is part of the project and their team is performing very well because they are currently leading the premier league table and can win the title because they have good squad and Arne Slot is doing his best.
Judging from the rumors that have been developing since last season, Al Ittihad is the club that is most interested in recruiting him from Liverpool, there are even rumors claiming that Salah has reached a verbal agreement with the Saudi Pro League team. In my opinion, everything is just speculation, although Salah future could end up in Saudi later. Salah contract will expire in June 2025, Arne Slot seems to still really need Salah in his team, they will have difficulty finding a suitable player if they release the Egyptian winger. Besides that, it seems that there has been no news of a new contract extension proposed by the management to the player, but I don't think that means Salah will leave at the end of the season.
There is a time for everything, I think Liverpool is waiting for the right time to offer him a contract. The Egyptian player is a very useful player for Liverpool. He has done more than his best on the wing for years. I think he deserves a new contract and he may even consider quitting football with Liverpool. Of course, it is his choice whether he wants to spend a few years in Saudi Arabia to earn a lot of money. If he wants to earn a lot of money, he can leave Liverpool at the end of the year. Because Liverpool cannot give him the money that the teams in Saudi Arabia will give him.

From all indications Salah look set to leaving Liverpool when his contract expires in the summer of 2025. He said it earlier in the season that this will be his last season in Liverpool, and from that time he made the statement, there hasn't been any talk of renewing his contract. Liverpool on the other hand, have realised that Salah is already ageing and there is no need of giving him another contract. If at this stage of the season the Liverpool management hasn't proposed a new contract to their top Man, it only means that they are prepared to let him go. And if I was to advise Salah, I will tell him to move to Saudi Arabia. He has given his all to Liverpool and he has demonstrated his loyalty to the club many times, so now is the time to think about himself. He should go to Saudi and make money because his retirement is getting closer. If Salah leaves Liverpool today he leaves a legend and won't be seen as a betrayal. So for me there is no point of him staying beyond the season.
If they fail to extend his contract, Liverpool could lose Mohamed Salah for free next summer. The Kop rejected a record £150m bid from Al Ittihad for Salah last August. I also agree that Salah should go to Saudi Arabia to earn some retirement money. At his age, he is unlikely to play at the top level for a few more years. Leaving early will preserve his reputation with the fans.

As for Liverpool, they will be forced to find a replacement for Salah, which is a significant transition for the Anfield team. Which player is talented enough to replace their number 1 striker is a difficult question. Not to mention captain Virgil van Dijk and vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold only have 1 year left on their contracts.
The rumour about Mo Salah was into the radar of Saudi Pro League clubs has been appear since last summer but he has a commitment want to stayed for at least until his contract ended and if Mo Salah has decide will not to signing new contract then we won't see him playing again with Liverpool for next season and actually the contract for these 3 players actually will be expired on June 2025 which mean at the end of this season but not 1 year left and i think Liverpool still working hard to negotiations with them to talking about new contract but i don't know why the negotiation is still deadlock until now and Mo Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold is the key player of Liverpool so i don't think they want to losing them at the same time

The news is that Mohamed Salah will be extended for another season but I don't know if this news will come true? This is what I read a few days ago.
Finding players like Mohamed Salah is difficult and Liverpool need time to find such skills, therefore Liverpool must be prepared to lose in the future because after all Salah will get older and his performance will decline.
I think it is very reasonable to extend for another year because Salah still performed well in Liverpool. Whether it is valid news or not, I think it is the right decision that Liverpool extends his contract earlier. There must be many interest from other teams for signing Salah, especially from Saudi teams. Since it is difficult to get the replacement, it is better to extend his contract before it is over.
That's what I see about Mohamed Salah now that his performance has not dropped despite his age but for one more season then Mohamed Salah can contribute again.

The target of the Arab Club has been from last season and indeed Liverpool did not sell it, because the summer will expire the contract so it is easy for the Arab team to get it for free and it will be a little difficult to find a player like Mohamed Salah.
If the plan to extend the contract for another season is true, Liverpool will have plenty of time to find the right replacement for Moh Salah at this time. And there is nothing wrong with the decision taken considering the Egyptian international's contribution on the field is very good, it can even be said that Liverpool's victory in every match is inseparable from his contribution. Moreover, the management's decision will be beneficial if one day an Arab club wants to bring him in, they have to spend money, not infrequently Arab clubs will spend more money for the players they want considering they are a rich club. we'll just have to see what happens next.

Maybe Ten Hag still thinks his players have the same quality. or even improved. but as we see, United just wasted their money on Ten Hag's unsuccessful wishes.
Many have suggested selling Harry Maguire last season. but that did not happen. we know the player has a high price that does not match his performance. he is one of United's worst purchases I think. now they sell him at a loss? they are joking by wasting their money.
But it had to be done. even with some other players who may not have much role in the team. United need a lot of improvement.

Manchester United should have sold this player a long time ago, because at Manchester United he didn't contribute much to the game and even more defeats that he made which was very detrimental to the team because it could be that the mistakes he made made Manchester United have to suffer defeat. Regarding Haaland, honestly I don't think he will leave Manchester City so quickly, because he is one of the mainstay players in the front line and he can also be one of the players who can finally present the Champions League title for them. Barcelona? I don't think about that, because the finances they are facing do not support them to recruit players who have expensive prices, because surely if Manchester City sells Haaland they will not let him go for a cheap price.

Harry Maguire is always rumored to be sold every season, but strangely he is still at Man United and he even often plays as a starter. His performance is also not as bad as before, so if they really have to reduce the number of defenders, I think it's better to sell Victor Lindelof than Harry Maguire. Likewise, with Erling Haaland, I don't think he will leave Man City anytime soon (at least in the next 3 seasons) because there really is no strong reason why he wants to leave Man City.

This is rumor that has been circulating for some time, I have even mentioned it some time ago that Liverpool still wants to keep Moh Salah but with short contract for one season and until now there has been no official statement regarding this.
What is certain is that if Liverpool wants to maintain its performance next season and still wants to compete very well then they must still have Moh Salah because he is the only player who I think is most important for the Liverpool squad even though there are several other players who can also perform impressively, Moh Salah presence is very different from several other players that Liverpool has.
It was heard that there were several players who could indeed be replacement options for Moh Salah but I not so sure that several players who could replace Moh Salah can perform impressively as expected considering that the presence of new players will not immediately be able to show big contribution unless it is player who is really great and has real evidence of his sharpness in several teams that have been defended before.
