I think Xavi sounds selfish, if he really wanted Ansu Fati back, why did he still get so little playing time in the end? in other words Ansu Fati is playing at Brighton just to hone his skills and then Xavi will take it back. Isn't that selfish enough, I know it is their right because Ansu Fati contract at Barcelona is still long. I never stop thinking that Ansu Fati potential will not develop even if he returns, because he has to queue for a long time to get playing time. Waiting for the main squad to be injured and Ansu Fati remaining unchanged whether he goes to Brighton or not, he will remain a reserve player.
All Ansu needs now is to just keep his head focused on maintaining a good fitness schedule and at the right moment am sure he would get to show us why he is likened to the next Messi with the kind of potential he has displayed already.
You shouldn't be surprised if Xavi asks for Ansu back, once he can begin to feature more in Brighton matches and find his confidence. After all, what's the point of a loan deal, if the player on loan don't return to the original club who did the loaning.
Ansu Fati was sold because he was never part of Xavi project, check his last appearance in Barcelona before he went to Brentford, Xavi didn't start him and as a young player, it will be bad of him if he dont start most of the matches, there is too much competition in Barcelona and that's why he was loan to Brentford. However, what I don't understand is the option buy they included in the contract, Brentford can decide to buy after the loan expired and I wonder why they allow such option if if wasn't that they don't see him in Barcelona in tbe future or probably was just use to settle part of the debt Barcelona is dealing with right now.
As an academic kid that hail from Barcelona, this loan transfer is not a good idea in my opinion, to Brentford isn't giving at all. Ansu is just 20 with a single trophy won and 33 goals, it's going it be a long ride for in such club that hasn't won anything in a long time. It would have been better if he go to Arsenal where young stars are been celebrateed with good future. Imagine going to Arsenal and won the first Champions League, I know many will say it's a dream but you never can tell.
