There are reports that Arsenal are near a deal to sign 22-year-old Polish central defender Jakub Kiwior from Spezia. I think he’s the left-footed Center back Arteta was looking for. Never heard of him, but then again, Tomiyasu was an unknown at the time too. They’re spending wisely. Kiwior is a very good signing, a tall lad with great composure on the ball, very calm and a very good passer of the ball as well. Arsenal knows that they need squad depth as they enter the critical stage of the season.
Arsenal was always trying to maximize the potential of unpopular players. This is also to avoid the high price that will always be given by the popular player that got hyped. I do like how arsenal was spending its funds wisely compared with Chelsea. Jakub Kiwior was also doing so well in the world cup. I think that his performance with Poland was so good. that may become the main consideration by arsenal to buy him. A bit surprised that arsenal was moving silently to get some good players with the cheap price. Glad to see that arsenal was getting a guy that has been named as the next vincent company.

Although Chelsea already buy 5 players during this winter but apparently Chelsea hasn't stopped to buy more players and it's officially that Chelsea very near reach to agreement to gets PSV youngster Noni Madueke and it say Chelsea have to spend not less than 35 millions euro but it wasn't mentioned contract duration for him but i assume Madueke will gets long term duration contract considering he still 20 years old and Madueke can be played as right winger or striker but it won't be easy for him to gets one place on starting line up considering Chelsea already have plenty of forward players such as Joao Felix or Sterling

I think Chelsea are looking for a way to let go of sterling, ziyech etc all in this January transfer window and many more players are to go by the end of the Summer. I think players like Pulisic will be among and if all this were to come to past then you'll see the need of us getting as much players in as we're doing. Chelsea current players are underperforming and that's not good for business so the American businessman is just trying to save his business while he still can.

Noni Madueke is already a Chelsea player as he has undergone medicals and all other negotiations has been completed. He's also going to get a longer contract, I think Todd Boehly is doing all this so he has longer time to pay for the transfer in installments and avoid the financial fair play rules because if he was to make all this transfer in full payment, I don't think we would be able to sign players in the next window just as we suffered during the Lampard management era.

Arsenal is very close to getting this player into the squad. Honestly, I think people are getting too excited. People are already calling him the next Vincent Kompany. I think this is just hyping up a young player too much. No wonder kids cannot leave up to the expectations right now. As far as I'm hearing it is going to be a 21 million pound deal for him. I do not think the deal is too bad. Because they will be getting a very decent 22-year-old. But to say that he's going to be the next Vincent Kompany is obviously expecting too much from him.

Liverpool have been linked with Mbappe again. This is like a rumor that is almost impossible to happen while Mbappe is on a contract. We know, PSG will not let go of the golden boot winner in the world cup, because PSG need him to get more trophies. Mbappe is like a player that no other club can touch him, PSG will not let go of Mbappe at any price for now. Even if Mbappe is no longer able to play for PSG, the most reasonable to be the next club for Mbappe is Madrid.

https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/liverpool-have-been-offered-kylian-mbappe-as-psg-are-desperate-not-to-let-him-go-to-real-madrid-report
Mbappe to Liverpool? No I don't think that will happen. It is very unlikely that Mbappe will want to move to Liverpool at this time, maybe some time in the future it can happen but  for now it is very unlikely. If Mbappe wants a move he will be considering a move to Real Madrid because Real Madrid have been on him for some windows now and are ready to break the bank to get him on their side.
It looks like these rumors are completely untrue and if Mbappe goes to Liverpool wouldn't that be a career downturn? Liverpool is not a good team for Mbappe, the level of players like Mbappe should be in teams like Real Madrid and Man City. After all, PSG will not release its biggest player asset to another club for the next few years.

The race for signing players is all about competition and been the first team to lay big bids for players. Chelsea fall in that category, the transfer window is not about the first team to place a bid for a player rather the higher bids always get the deal done. Chelsea hijacked Félix and mudryk deal from arsenal, although the gunners succeed to bring over Leandro Trossard to emirate stadium. Gunners fans happy to have the spectacular winger in the team because he will served important purpose to the team and Arteta's plans.
In competition for a player, it's the same as fighting for a title, which club has the best offer, they will be one step ahead of the club that is also after him. They must not lose to their competitors to start, if that happens it will be the same as what happened to Arsenal.
But there are situations where the player will decide for himself which club he will go to. As experienced by Cristiano Ronaldo, yes, that was because there were parties who did not want to see Cristiano Ronaldo go to a team from the city of Manchester City at that time. So that the people closest to him and people who were very meritorious to him asked him to choose Manchester United. This is a different situation of course.

I think that you shall try to understand if the purpose of the massive bought by Chelsea is to make a new era for the team with so many young players. Chelsea will be selling so many players too. I see some that are already included in the list of players will be sold by Chelsea. Some veterans like thiago silva and kante may stay even longer with Chelsea. As long as those players who have already been bought by Chelsea will be very useful and I'm not seeing any problem with it. It seems like that after chelsea was under a new owner and chelsea changes its old paradigm. Let's see how those new players will be performing in chelsea. This is a very big gamble by todd as a new owner of chelsea.

Mbappe is a big player who has been tipped as one of the candidates for the future Ballon d'or. If you consider the status of Liverpool and Real Madrid, you will know that considering where Mbappe is heading which is "the ballon d'or", Liverpool is not the club for him and cannot deliver that to him but Real Madrid on the other hand fits the profile and will be more of a destination for any player who knows that he can win the Ballon d'or. Liverpool does not suit Mbappe.
I think Mbappe is suitable to play for Liverpool, because Liverpool itself is a big team. However, what is being considered is that Real Madrid is also expected to be his next destination, even though last season he had preferred Paris Saint Germain which offered many privileges for him there. I don't think Mbappe will leave Paris Saint Germain in the near future, because Paris Saint Germain will definitely try hard to keep this talented player. Now there are not even rumors that he is leaving France.

I don't have ideas about Mbappe rumor will go to Liverpool due he has official announcement reject offering from Primer League team and still priority for second chance joining with Real Madrid. Mbappe has two years left contract with PSG and seems not any team have excited offering for recruiting than waiting Mbappe become free agent.

Real Madrid have loss patience for Mbappe after their clause rejected last season and seems still not any interested or second chance Real Madrid make new offering for signing Mbappe. Actually for Mbappe has the same position with Vinicius Jr and I don't think good ideas when facing option between one of both best player have set on the bench.

Actually nothing is impossible in the player transfer process, we are in football but no one can predict whether this will happen or not, although now there are reports that PSG has put the green light on for Mbappe but this does not apply to Real Madrid, it could be Liverpoo will send a proposal of high value to Mbappe and sign it, in fact Real Madrid also made several offers for Mbappe to move to his club, but PSG did not agree, we are sure that PSG did not give the green light for Mbappe to move to Real Madrid.

Liverpool are indeed very shrewd in looking for players who have pretty good performance, but we doubt that mbappe will move to Liverpool, especially seeing Liverpool's performance this season which has greatly decreased, but we can't predict it.
But we are more interested in mbappe going to EPL, now we see EPL is the most competitive league at the moment, there are some strong clubs and good performances.

SMH. How many more forwards do we need right now?

We need midfielders. We're going to have a skeleton midfield after Milner Ox and Kieta all leave for free. If someone here has connections to FSG and can tell this loud and clearly, then please do so.  Tongue

Another factor to consider is that Liverpool has wage range they pay their players which is why they let Mane left, I am not sure they would want to break their rules now.
Can you please highlight on Liverpool's wage range?

Because as far as I know Sadio Mané wanted a certain amount, but Liverpool were reluctant to meet that amount and yet there were other far less influential players who were being paid much more than him.
Liverpool are not breaking any rules when it comes to wages management of their players. Every player got their salary according to their well base performance in the team. I think the board is been partial when it comes to wages of their players. Paying Sadio Mané less than those on the bench who were injured for instance, Oxlade Chamberlain was earning more than Mané who was carrying the reds on his shoulders. The Senegalese was an important player in the team with much efforts he puts in every single game he feature for Liverpool, looks like he was underestimate by the board when he enquired for an increase in his salary and the whole thing mixed up with Mané exiting the team.

Trossard will bring versatility in the attack, he can play RW, LW, AM even as a false 9. Experience as well he's 28, the young lads can learn a thing from him and lastly a healthy competition. I'm pretty confident that he will bring a lots to the table as he's a premier league proven with 7 goals already with two assists. I think personally, he will bring something special because Brighton is a good side that has similar way of playing with our club so we are good to.

I don't really know the history of this one player, but if I trace it from his track record with Brighton or with the Belgian national team. he tends to play as a center forward, although he can also play in the AM position. I'm not sure if Arteta will use him on the wing. because after all, Arsenal need more center forwards than wing attackers. because after all in that position there is Gabriel Martinelli. or maybe, Arteta rotated Martinelli or Trossard to be the center forward. because Arteta is well aware, he cannot depend on Nketiah before Jesus recovers from his injury.

Rumor has it that Arsenal have struck a deal with Brigthon for around £27 million. and as quoted by a prominent journalist, Fabrizio Romano reported the same thing. he has added that Arsenal have reached a personal agreement with Lendro Trossard. whatever Arteta's decision to bring him to the Emirates Stadium, I hope it's not a panic buy.

I don't think Mbappe will go to Liverpool, after all, I haven't heard rumors about Liverpool wanting Mbappe. I also don't rule out the possibility that this transfer will occur, but it seems like what you said the possibility is very small. He is a player who dreams of playing for Real Madrid, so even if he had to leave Santiago Bernabeu would be his next destination compared to Liverpool.

Even if Mbappe is not on contract, Liverpool will be one of the last clubs he will consider to join. He won't even go to England because of his Ballon d'Or dream. He cannot get it playing for an English team.

There are reports that Atlético Madrid are close to signing Memphis Depay from Barcelona in a deal worth around £3m. A mixture of injuries and form concerns have ruined his 2022-23 season so far. So instead of sitting on the bench, I think it’s a good move for him because he has struggled this season, making just four appearances and scoring one goal across 206 total minutes.
that's a very small amount of money. Barcelona was selling him in a big loss again after he bought from MU during the van gaal era. It seems depay was very tired of waiting for regular time to play caused by xavi didn't wanna try to waste an opportunity by not letting Lewandowski play. he has made a good decision if depay was really moving to the Atletico Madrid. Barcelona may be interested in such offer considering Barcelona was always selling its players in big loses like that. I hope that depay will be happy to play in the new team with new teammates too. He shall not waste more time in Barcelona.
I think it's a bit more about them not wanting to pay his salary and get some financial relief out of this than anything else. I am not saying that he worths 3 million now after he couldn't provide anything for them, even on his worst situation he still worths a lot more than this, but that 3 million minus his salary worths a lot for Barcelona right now. That means they could get another player if they want to during this transfer window, and if not then they could have a good chance when the summer transfer window comes along.

It requires only a small amount to leave, to make a much bigger debt because you get the money today, but get the debt for later, hence why it works like that.

Trossard is called as "an alternative for Mudryk" for Arsenal but he isn't a player to be underestimated on one hand. He has had impressive statistics in this season and drawn the attention of big teams directly. Like you said he is already used to playing in the English Premier League so he will only need to adapt to Arsenal. But I don't think he would have any problem about that as well. Trossard is a big goal source as well as his productivity with assists. He is like one of the players any team in the league would like to have.

By the way Mudryk has Champions League experience so I expect him also to adapt quickly to this environment.

The advantage of getting him is that he has understanding of how the premier league goes till it finally ends he won't find it difficult to adapt.
But when it comes to Mudryk, he is relatively new to the premier league, he will have some time to settle into the plans of Chelsea.
Another disadvantages of getting Trossad would be nothing but his age, how long will be preform at a top level for Arsenal, not for too long I guess
