Saturday's transfer gossip:
Manchester United are interested in bringing Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane, 29, to Old Trafford this summer. What do Tottenham and their very stingy manager think about it?
I don’t think this is going to be possible at all. Harry Kane is already a known name and a legend the team beckons on, making him leave the club now will not only make it looks like betrayal to the team but also will have effect on the attacking force of the team.
Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech, 29, is keen to move from Chelsea and join Barcelona this month. The World Cup in Qatar obviously raised his price. Will the clubs come to an agreement?
He really showed much expertise in the World Cup games and I believe his price should be very high currently. He’s doing great at Chelsea but lacks enough playing time which I don’t think he’ll still get at Barcelona. I’d rather prefer him stay in Chelsea than moving to Barcelona.
Liverpool are still in talks with Roberto Firmino over a new short-term contract, and the 31-year-old Brazil forward says he intends to stay at the club. This seems like the best solution for both parties. After the departure of Mane, Liverpool cannot afford to lose Firmino as well.
Firmino is not as strong and full of expertise like before, leaning the club will bring him no gain. He should rather remain with the reds and maybe he could come back in much form there.
Arsenal are interested in a surprise loan deal for Real Madrid and France midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, 20, to boost their squad for the rest of the season. This would be a great deal for Arsenal, but how realistic is it?
Signing Camavinga will be good for Arsenal to make their midfield stronger than the way it is now. This rumor is very much unrealistic as I don’t see Real Madrid leaving a very young and much talented young player to a big club.
Thomas Tuchel is unlikely to take the job at Tottenham if it became available because the German is aiming for Barcelona or Real Madrid as his next step. How realistic is it to happen this season? It seems unlikely to me that Barcelona and Real will change their coaches this season.
