Olivier Giroud made a very good performance with France in the World Cup, I could say that it highlighted its performance since it was less visible in a local league. Since he was adding a lot to the team he plays with then it would be normal to extend his contract.

Despite his age, Giroud is still a good option for Milan, especially with his financial condition, they actually don't have many choices. But of course this is still better than having to find someone who has to adapt which will take time.
But apart from Giroud, I think Milan must try to find other alternatives for strikers, especially seeing the clarity from Leao now who is still at a dead end, Milan must prepare for all the worst possibilities.

In my opinion 60m Euro should have been fair price but Liverpool made a good bargain here with 42 million. I think it has potential to reach with 50 million something, haven't read that for clear. That certainly gives them a option to use him in attack and gives Klopp a great option. As for Gakpo he has lot of years left and at Liverpool he can find the best squad and best club to hone himself. He is gonna do very well at Liverpool.
Competition for Liverpool's left wing position is now clearly going to heat up after Cody Gakpo was confirmed to come this season. Luis Diaz & Diogo Jota are tough contenders for the position, but Gakpo may soon claim his place given that the two wingers I mentioned are currently out injured.

Gakpo will be the second player from the Netherlands currently in Liverpool's squad after Virgil van Dijk. The two players both played well for their national teams at the World Cup, and now they have a lot of time together in the same team. I think Gakpo will do well at Liverpool, let's see though actually I want him to go to Manchester United.

I just can't believe Manchester United lost out of this deal, Manchester United are very unserious with transfers and so many times they have lost good potential signings that would have been good addition to their team. Jurgen Klopp has just increased the competition for the players in the left attacking wing which will make the players playing in that position to sit up. Nunez is the type of player who has the ability to drop down to get the ball and advance through attack to the opponents goal post but to make things easier for the player and the team Klopp has to bring in a good creative midfield that can connect and bring free flow from the defense to the attackers and create more chances so Nunez can get opportunities to score more goals.

At the moment the team is not in bad shape, they managed to score in their last match and that was something important. Of course, the increase in the number of players is an important need for the team, if the players who are playing now are injured or anything else, the team may have difficulty scoring goals. But they can somehow manage until the end of the season.
I don't think they have a goal to become a champion anyway. They can finish 3rd or 4th this year
The problem is that at this time it is very difficult to get players who really fit the criteria expected by Erik Ten Hag. After all, the position of the Manchester United striker must have a high mentality and be able to put aside their ego. Of course it is not easy to occupy the position of striker at the Manchester United club. It was quite difficult after Gakpo was overtaken by Liverpool, now Manchester United target is floating because they did not make an alternative at the start of the election.
I think it's not too difficult for that but the problem is when Ten Hag is more focused on the Dutch players or the Eredivisie so far because judging by the rumors now there are already several Eredivisie players who are always linked with them.
I think if you want to find a better striker, Ten Hag should widen your search radar and not only focus on players who are in their country because this is also quite important.

Another one, can we just close all the other leagues and follow only Premier League?
lol.
But until now it seems that news about the Premier League is always the first in terms of transfers.
Currently there are several players who have made deals and for Chelsea, if I'm not mistaken, this is the second player after Nkunku was successfully secured from Leipzig.
Chelsea are still making transfers this time quite actively it seems but on the other hand the other Premier League clubs are not losing because Liverpool and several other big clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are preparing to follow suit.

Giroud has gained the trust of Ac milan management for the coming season, various new contract documents are ready on the table, it even seems that this would be very good for Giroud to extend the contract with Ac milan. Giroud became a star at an old age he was very integrated with the Serie A game, Giroud is already 36 years old, now it seems that he is the second oldest player in AC Milan because Ibrahimovic is already 40 years old. Ac milan really wants to honor the services of these two players at a relatively old age. Apart from Giroud, it seems that several other players will be offered new contracts in February, such as Leao and Bennacer.

I might estimate the duration of 1 season for the new contract that will be available for Giroud and it seems that the leaked salary received by Giroud still looks the same when he received the first contract offer from Ac Milan.

Referring to sources reported by Transfermarkt, there are four big clubs who are eyeing this one player. yes, Jude Bellingham has become a target for several big clubs, such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool. and according to several other news sources, that Real Madrid will prioritize a deal for Jude Billingham in 2023, it is expected that the midfielder will choose Los Blancos over Liverpool.

and it looks like Bellingham is the most dieal option for the regeneration of the Real Madrid midfielder for a potential replacement for Luca Modric who is already 37 years old.

On the other hand, Jude Bellingham is a serious target for Manchester City at the end of the season, Pep Guardiola is set to make a £100 million bid to sign the English international, and as quoted by Transfermarkt.
however, so far there has been no official statement either from the club that wants it or from the Borrusia Dortmund Management itself. so, let's just wait for the club that will get the services of this Dortmund midfielder later.
Focusing on a single player like that hurts their chances for other potential stars if you ask me. Jude is a great player and all, but 4 clubs focusing solely on him and not trying to find other stars is a bit difficult. I realize that finding a superstar level talent on a club like Dortmund who would accept anything even near 100 million, probably a lot lesser is a good deal.

Real can't just go get Foden, or City can't get Vinicius etc etc, these teams have their stars and won't share them, so they all look for players in lower level teams. But I believe Jude is just too much of a big name to keep chasing, finding other talents and buying 2 young talents for the price of one Jude would be much better.

Does Manchester United need a new striker? Yes... but I don't see that as a big problem.
Maybe is not the problem for now, but after losing to get Gakpo, MU must think to find another attacker, Antony didn't show a performance yet after buying it for 80 M pounds. We know MU cash is very limited to buying new attackers on market, but with that money, Ten Hag still has a chance to buy young players just to make MU competitive in the club. Because when have limited attackers, this will be an inside problem like fatigue.
Seeing Martial's condition in yesterday's match was actually still quite good but indeed they still need to bring in players with better conditions. At the moment apart from Gakpo, rumors about Dumfries and Joao Felix for Manchester United are still circulating but until now there has been no other news but it is possible that there are some that the media have not heard of just like Gakpo and Liverpool. It's not impossible for them to bring in players they didn't even expect before.

According to Goal.com, Bellingham is prioritizing Real Madrid over Liverpool now.
I must admit that I'm not surprised to hear this news at all. Because Real Madrid has a really different place for this kind of very skilled youngsters. It is like a dream team for most of the future superstars and it has been like this for so many years as well. Liverpool needed to have things that should attract his attention to itself. But it doesn't I'm afraid. We can talk about the Champions League but Real Madrid are superior to every other European team there by far already. Liverpool had better look for other youngsters.

I am not completely sure, but goal.com is one of the more reliable sources as far as i know. That being said, they are only reporting that he is more in favor of joining Real Madrid now then he is of joining Liverpool. This can also mean absolutely nothing. I always thought that he would want to join an english club but we just have to wait and see. Maybe the fact that Liverpool just signed Cody Gakpo could also be a hint that they won't go for Bellingham anymore or that they think that their chances of signing him are pretty low anyway. In the end the money of Liverpool is also limited and they already have debts of 208 Million $.

newcastle united is reportedly interested in signing chelsea midfielder Jorginho in January. the italian international's contract at stamford bridge expires at the end of the current season.

It seems that Jorginho's fate will be a little better if he comes to Newcastle because this team is currently on fire this season, with an even coach and squad, of course it will be easier to secure UCL tickets for the next season. Meanwhile, if he is still at Chelsea, which is currently in 8th position in the EPL standings, of course it will be difficult if you want to enter the champions league zone, considering that Chelsea is still in the process of reshuffling players after they have a new coach and still need adaptation.

We still have a lot of games unplayed to actually consider Jorginhos rumour move to Newcastle to be more better than he's current stay at Chelsea, when comparing Chelsea's 8th position in the premier league table.

Things can change inevitably for Chelsea just with 2 or 3 signings in January transfer window open a lot could happen.
Jorginhon is currently Chelsea's best penalty taker at the moment and still a bit inform , so Chelsea in my opinion should consider giving him 1 more year to play.

The season is not over yet, which means Newcastle can still fly out of the Champions League zone, just as Chelsea can get there. But yes, Chelsea will have problems with that, because you can not rebuild the team quickly, I think at the end of the season they just get close to the Champions League line in the standings, and the main work (fighting for the top) for them will be in the next season

After failing to bring Cody Gakpo to Old Trafford, there are rumors that Manchester United are trying to borrow Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid, we know that currently the red devils are very short of strikers on the front lines. Maybe the option to borrow Alvaro Morata, who plays as a pure striker, can bring good enough performance for Manchester United.

A new year's gift for Liverpudians.

After performing stunningly with the Dutch National Team at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, many clubs want to get Cody Gakpo's signature. Finally Gakpo's enigma was answered. Cody Gakpo is officially in Liverpool uniform for a fee estimated at €42.00m and signed a contract until 2028.

The presence of Gakpo in the Liverpool squad makes Jurgen Klopp now have many options in formulating strategies and Gakpo is expected to be a suitable partner for Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez.

So finally Liverpool took the right steps to improve their performance after dropping out of the title race I mean in the middle of the season, indeed a new player is the solution
$42 million is not a high price for a young player like Cody Gakpo he still has potential to improve with Liverpool. Now Liverpool has 3 strikers with a total value of $ 200 million
$42 is a fair price for a 23 year old player, not to mention how good he looks on the pitch. Liverpool have taken the right steps to improve the quality of the team, the arrival of Gakpo has given Klopp many options in choosing players on the front lines. Liverpool needs to be at the desired point, after leaving the group of teams fighting for the trophy, now Liverpool must focus on finishing in the Champions League zone.
he found the right team for his next career, $42 million is a relatively cheap nominal if we consider the quality it has. He can be a tandem for nunez and salah and this is a good form of strategy for kloop to rebuild liverpool into a strong team. Firmino might become a victim of Gakpo arrival and the two of them might compete to win Kloop trust in every game. I saw a rumor that was developing on social media where the actor behind signing Gakpo was Virgil Van Dijk which made Gakpo accept an offer from Liverpool. these two players have a pretty good relationship so Virgil will help Gakpo adapt quickly to the Liverpool game scheme.

How can Christopher Nkuku become a Central Attacking Player ? Especially for Chelsea ? No he is a complete winger go check of his videos at RB Leipzig you'll see he is more of a winger than a Central Attacking Player.
They also need to hasten up with the signature of Declan Rice from West Ham he is the replacement for Ngolo Kante since they're not offering him a contract extension. As per the potentials of Fofana I haven't really checked if I have i must have forgotten, bit the premier league ain't no easy league, I hope he gets the message.
Are you sure of it mate? Because he rarely played on the left or right wing. But yeah, we can't actually say that he is a centre-forward mainly. He is more like a second striker. He has mostly played as a second striker and central attacking midfielder so far. He has 10 goals in 12 matches as a second striker and 5 goals in 7 matches as an attacking midfielder in this season so far. He might switch positions in matches from time to time of course. We can see him everywhere in the attacking side.
But his main positions in this season have been the ones I indicated. I don't know what kind of a strategy Potter is thinking of after having him. Maybe he would try him as a centre-forward first to see his scoring ability there.

Christopher Nkunku is a central attacking midfield player. He very rarely plays as a winger and him playing as a striker is more rare than that.

I agree with @Pulsar77 that he is better suited for the central attacking midfielder or the second striker position. Playing him as a striker is eventually going to result in failure for the team in my opinion. Because I don’t think the team is going to get good enough goals from him as a striker. And he has already proved himself in the center-attacking midfielder position. So, it will be better if the club makes him stick with that position.

I am actually surprised that Liverpool was able to sign Gakpo now so quickly after the World cup. I always thought that Manchester United was interested in signing Gakpo even way before the start of the world cup because their coach, Erik ten Hag, already new Gakpo as a great player from his time in the dutch Eredivisie. It just turned out to be true once again, that Manchester United is just not top address in european football anymore. Most of the players choose clubs like Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich over Manchester United nowadays.
It will be interesting to see if Gakpo can perform well at Liverpool. I am not so sure yet.

I agree with you that Manchester united don't attract many excellent players again but never rule them out in signing any player they want. In case of Gakpo, Ten Hag wanted him as a replacement for The departured Ronaldo but the Club hierarchy were skeptical about signing him and never made any official offers towards PSV. Romour has it that due to switch of Ownership surrounding Manchester united the Glazers do not want to spend any money on new signings for now and according to Ten Hag himself, united will be acquiring players this transfer only on loan. So Gakpo to Liverpool wasn't all about united be rejected by the player but united board never made an offer
