Are you sure of it mate? Because he rarely played on the left or right wing. But yeah, we can't actually say that he is a centre-forward mainly. He is more like a second striker. He has mostly played as a second striker and central attacking midfielder so far. He has 10 goals in 12 matches as a second striker and 5 goals in 7 matches as an attacking midfielder in this season so far. He might switch positions in matches from time to time of course. We can see him everywhere in the attacking side.
But his main positions in this season have been the ones I indicated. I don't know what kind of a strategy Potter is thinking of after having him. Maybe he would try him as a centre-forward first to see his scoring ability there.

Christopher Nkunku is a central attacking midfield player. He very rarely plays as a winger and him playing as a striker is more rare than that.

I agree with @Pulsar77 that he is better suited for the central attacking midfielder or the second striker position. Playing him as a striker is eventually going to result in failure for the team in my opinion. Because I don’t think the team is going to get good enough goals from him as a striker. And he has already proved himself in the center-attacking midfielder position. So, it will be better if the club makes him stick with that position.

I agree with you that Manchester united don't attract many excellent players again but never rule them out in signing any player they want. In case of Gakpo, Ten Hag wanted him as a replacement for The departured Ronaldo but the Club hierarchy were skeptical about signing him and never made any official offers towards PSV. Romour has it that due to switch of Ownership surrounding Manchester united the Glazers do not want to spend any money on new signings for now and according to Ten Hag himself, united will be acquiring players this transfer only on loan. So Gakpo to Liverpool wasn't all about united be rejected by the player but united board never made an offer

I am actually surprised that Liverpool was able to sign Gakpo now so quickly after the World cup. I always thought that Manchester United was interested in signing Gakpo even way before the start of the world cup because their coach, Erik ten Hag, already new Gakpo as a great player from his time in the dutch Eredivisie. It just turned out to be true once again, that Manchester United is just not top address in european football anymore. There are a few teams to have a serious interest in Alexis Mac Allister now. These teams are said to be Liverpool, Benfica, Dortmund and Juventus. If we see only these teams in a race to sign him then I don't give much chance to the others than Liverpool. They are the strongest team among them and they are in the same league with Brighton which is another advantage. Mac Allister is expected to be available for only £31m to £35m. This is like nothing for a skilled player like him I think.

Liverpool are already in search of a good midfielder as far as I know. Mac Allister would be just great for the position.

I think he isn't gonna be a starter right away because they have lot of players in attack. I wonder how Klopp will use him actually in the squad. He can adapt into a bit of second striker option as well so a great option for Klopp. As a striker, Liverpool have Jota, Nunez and Firmino so it will be kinda hard when Jota and Firmino rejoins the squad back from injury. Gakpo is one of the most rumored wingers since the World Cup. His quality and attacking ability made several Premier League top teams fight for his services, but in the end Liverpool were the frontrunners to get him. Now Klopp has 3 wingers in his squad especially the left winger, but Gakpo can also play on the right wing and also a centre-forward.

Gakpo is projected to have more success at Liverpool than his former club, but I think he will need a quick adaptation compared to Nunez. Liverpool will have great competition this season after getting Gakpo, he will provide a good strength in Liverpool's attack line. However, Gakpo needed to adapt, but now he has a better future.

Competition for Liverpool's left wing position is now clearly going to heat up after Cody Gakpo was confirmed to come this season. Luis Diaz & Diogo Jota are tough contenders for the position, but Gakpo may soon claim his place given that the two wingers I mentioned are currently out injured.

Gakpo will be the second player from the Netherlands currently in Liverpool's squad after Virgil van Dijk. The two players both played well for their national teams at the World Cup, and now they have a lot of time together in the same team. I think Gakpo will do well at Liverpool, let's see though actually I want him to go to Manchester United.

Honestly since they have missed out on Gakpo who performed admirably for the Netherlands at the World Cup, they will still be looking at options to fill that position. I don’t know if any other striker about but Atletico Madrid's Felix seems like a much more realistic option for Manchester United in January if they really need a striker but Atletico Madrid is looking at a 6months loan and I don’t think many clubs will buy to that.

What about Zakaria, he's a defensive midfielders and not over priced as Declan Rice beside, majority of English players are overated. We already have them plenty at the club and that's enough (we don't need more). It sad to me that injury has spoiled Kante career as he's now a shadow of himself. He isn't the Kante that we knew few years back and thankfully he has won almost all there's possible to win. If I were him I'll just retire instead of going to stress myself more and probably cause a long term life injury to my body.

Chelsea is doing the right thing not extending his contract as he's more of a liability to the team then assets. I think Graham Potter should give Zakaria a chance instead of going to get more midfielder when we have more than enough at the club that aren't even getting enough playing time. Zakaria was decent in his last outing and if given more chance, I'm sure he'll impress both the coach and fans.

I won't say Declan Rice is overrated, no, not even in the slightest way, but I'll say he is overpriced. Player's like Jack Grealish, Harry Maguire and some others are overrated and overpriced. Foden, Bellingham, Saka, Rashford these are british lads not overpriced and overrated.

Hes still the best candidate for Chelsea's defensive midfieid, Zakaria may try but don't see him serving for much longer period for blues.

Damn, I'm starting to worry about Real Madrid in the Champions League. Good reinforcement for Liverpool. There is no guarantee that he will quickly settle into a new club, but due to the fact that PSV did not participate in the Champions League this year, Gakpo will be able to strengthen Liverpool in the Champions League also.
