They actually brought some good players. Its not like they haven't invested well enough. With CL qualification they needed players and so they got players in attack like Perisic (Conte however puts up as left wing back tho), Richarlison, Bissouma, Lenglet, Spence(young player with potential). Well Spence might lack the experience but rest of those players are really good ones in my opinion. They have good players in mid as well like Hojberg and Bentancaur who does as a great job in ball retention and moving around ball nicely in attack. Son and Kane are bit ineffective this season so far but if they start performing then I believe that Spurs will grab up pace in the table.

Now there are again new rumours linking Barcelona with Lionel Messi.

It says that Barcelona president Laporta wants to see him in the team even in January. I don't see this news as realistic at all truthfully. Because there is no reason for Messi to leave in the middle of the season above all else. He must be happy at PSG for now as we can understand this from his high effort in this season until now. They have a target like winning the Champions League as well. I don't think that it would be sensible for Messi to leave PSG to join a team that aren't competing in the Champions League. I think the same even if a player has great memories with the team being linked. These rumours would drop some time later as a result.

To be frank, Tottenham will remain at the same level two seasons to come, they don't have quality midfielder's and I mean the attacking aspect of the midfielder's to complement the defensive midfielders.
That alone has lead to Harry Kane and Son Heung Min dropping deep to help create chances for themselves especially in tough game's.
And it's sad that they are not ready to make plans for recruiting midfielder's. Antonio Conte is a good coach, but his chances of winning the league this way are slim.
I'm one of those championing the movement of those two players outta Tottenham Hotspur, one to Real Madrid and one to Bayern Munich, I'd lie if they don't deserve big club's, the qualities and goals are obviously embedded innit.

Personally I would say Kane contributed to his lack of trophy. Imagine a player scoring more than 200 career goals and also top 5 of Premier league all time leading scorer without anything to show for it.
